All night to charge? Off course. You are not sitting in your car all night. Idea is that you use your car daily and come back home to plug in. You will never go back gas station. Just it may be little longer to charge on long drives, but it comes with so many other benefits. You always have some trade off.

These things are fookin quick. I took my electric Mini to an autocross meeting last Sunday and was faster than two of the three Porsches. 😂 The model 3 performance that showed up blew my doors off, though.

But still my whole point was the it was subjective opinions rather than actual facts to not but one. An example being(keep in mind this is made up and not factual) the battery lifespan in these vehicles will only last 6 months study shows the materials are made of lesser grade than standard car batteries. That would be a better example than what this dude said.

If you charge at home it will take a few hours to charge, but only if you drain the battery close to zero. Which won't be every day. Even if it does take a few hours, remember, you will be asleep during those hours. Lol

Honestly, if I had this car back then, I probably would’ve save so much money. I had to travel 120 miles twice a week back then. I was literally spending like $80 a week on gas. Did this for 2 years until I left to a different job.

With the charging though, you have to realize 99% of the time you will never have to charge ever because it will be full when you wake up, eliminating just about every gas station trip you ever have to make.
It is also way cheaper to charge usually. You probably already knew that I'm just saying.
I would hate to forget to charge the car though. at some point someone is gonna call work and explain they're gonna be late because they forgot to charge the car lol.

I think big selling points of tesla are there safety features and FSD but I dunno about the cheap materials..

My electric bill has soared by a whole $30-$40 a month. Yep, less than a tank of gas for many cars.
I think it’s brilliant waking up to a full charge, I don’t have to think “hmm I need to go get some petrol” I just wake up, get in my fully charged car and go.
Also a home car charger in the UK can go to 7kW on single phase electric so charging from like 10% to 90% is usually like 6-7 hours which is nothing.

(1. Get a non electric car if u want noise. Electric cars don’t make much noise.
(2. A regular car fuels up to a full tank with about £90. An electric car can charge to a full tank with about £20, give or take. So in exchange for time, it saves you about £70 per charge to full. If you charge it once a week, u save urself 3.6K per year.
(3. Not all Tesla models have gaps in the body, plus you can configure them.
(4. In my opinion, it does not look old. You can change the colour or model.
(5. Once agian, you can change the colour and material. Also, I’m pretty sure no other car has a large screen that controls the car, plus autopilot.

5. The interior is luxury, it's simple, yet beautiful.
No exhaust sound is lovely I love the quiet or the nice stereo in full effect. If you own a home charging is not a worry, panel gaps are in every car and who really cares and lastly my black on black looks pretty slick with the red calipers and carbon fiber wing. From your voice im picturing a ricer driver with a loud muffler that thinks it is cool. It is truly annoying to alot of people. That doesnt qualify you as a "car guy"

Its all about personal preferences. I for one do not care for exhaust sounds, but love not having to smell exhaust in the morning when warming up the car. Also some ICE cars have panel gaps too and not all teslas have bad panel gaps

5 reasons not to listen to this guy. Gas, Oil Change, Car repair, Mechanics scams, check engine light, EV is the feature.
Sounds like some reasons to buy one for me - no noise pollution, only taking the night to charge means it's ready by morning, minimalist interior means less parts and less chance of failure.
I love mine. Honestly it’s so fast it makes me sick if I actually floor in a couple times in a row.

Reason number 1, my dad said I had to make payments
I have a Tesla M3 SR, and the super charger would take that long if you rolled up at 2%, and my home charger literally takes 3 hours to charge (if I ran it to 0% every day). Realistically, I spend around 15 minutes at the super charger, but by the time I run into the store, leave a piss, grab a drink, wink at the counter girl, it’s ready to go!! And at my house, I plug it in every night, set the charge rate to 80%, because I heard charging all the way, all the time wasn’t good for the battery, but it’s ready to go whenever I wake up and head out to your moms house every day!! I had a 2015 Dodge 1500 Eco-Diesel and it was the biggest POS I’ve ever owned!! I replaced the DEF system in it TWICE!! Dodge covered it the first time but the last time I had to cover it…. So I fixed it, sold it and got this Tesla, best fucking decision I’ve ever made….
1. Only costs $10 for zero to full charge at home while u sleep.
2. Only costs about $30 for full charge at a super charger while u pee or eat. Its charged every morning while your gas car in on 1/4 tank waiting for another $100 of premium fuel and synthetic oil oil change.
3. 0-60 in 3.1 secs makes 99% of stock cars look slow at the drag strip or the stop light. Makes your noisy exhaust on your import look like a HUGE waist of time and money.
4. AWD. Outstanding handling ad traction.
5. Battery and drive units guaranteed for 120K miles known to last twice that long. 50K miles bumper to bumper.
Best car I ever bought.

I would have not agreed with the 1st one about the Exhaust sound but my young sons race motocross and I've grown so accustomed to listening to every sound their bikes make as their chief mechanic. I'm sure you don't really care about animals and the environment, but noise pollution can lead to hearing loss, heart problems and high blood pressure. @@MVS0N_ it actually is in the long run. EVs have a higher carbon footprint up front, but the gasoline carbon footprint savings makes it end up being less overall after about 5 years I think it was. Compare that to a v8 sports car and it’s even faster.

I was comparing the carbon footprint of electric vs ICE cars and their fuel, and that v8 sports cars will have a higher carbon footprint vs a 4 cylinder economy car. Thus the EV's time to have a smaller carbon footprint overall will happen "faster" aka less years to fall under an v8's carbon footprint. I wasn't talking about the car's speed.

Ev's are far from being able to replace ICE and many advancements have been made in gas emissions reduction. Many significant improvements in air quality during the Trump Administration while also growing the gas Auto market.
(Without giving money to the useless Paris Accord)
2016-2019 there was a 7% drop in emissions of criteria and precursor pollutants.
2018-2019 the number of days listed as unhealthy for sensitive people dropped by 40%.
Ozone 👇 6%
PM 2.5 👇4%
PM 10 👇 2%
Nitrogen Oxides 👇 14%
Sulfur dioxide 👇 35%
Lead 👇 20%
Volatile Organic Compounds 👇 5%
And on and on...
All without EV's controlling the market. All without driving gas prices to record levels. All without removing energy independence and depending on a failing power grid to support heavier power demands from EV's. Not even to mention the problems with solar panels, rare Earth mineral mining, battery fires & disposal. EV's will slowly take over the market, but trying to force it before it's time will obviously lead to problems.

You can add exhaust sounds with the exterior speakers, yes it takes about 30 to charge from 0 to 80 but that’s all you really need right now due to there not being enough electric cars on the road to make faster charges worth it right now; Tesla is working on faster chargers, they have fixed most body panel gaps and are currently working on it, the reason the inside is so minimalist is because Elon strives to remove all unnecessary moving and extra parts; this makes it easier and faster to make them and it makes the car cheaper and more affordable, lastly if you want a good, fast electric sports car get a model s or x. Thank you for voicing your concerns though.

1: you prefer pollution noises over spaceship noises
2: you can eat at the supercharger, or sleep at the home charger
3: most people don’t care about body panel gaps
4: what isn’t there to like about the exterior
5: if you actually used the car you would know the screen is superior to buttons

I own a model 3 performance and everything you just said can be changed. They have an exhaust you can add to make your car sound like 12 different sports cars, the aftermarket options for body kits is insane! I’ve seen atleast 14 different options alone. Teslas are commuters, if your buying to travel you didn’t do your research. This car is like vanilla ice cream, you can add whatever you want to it, you just have to find what toppings your looking for.
