I really have 0to60 fatigue. OMG 8 seconds isn’t fast enough? Kyle, 90%of us DRIVE NORMALLY!
8 sec in ev standard is actually really slow, its not that its not enough for regular cruising, its just that when you need it you have it or when just want to have fun, its fun do be able to accelerate faster since ev don't have any character.
Like he said, you really need to prepare for an overtake like in a small combustion car and with an ev you shouldn't have to do that, its easy to add just a little bit more power.
6 to 8 seconds is blazingly fast in comparison to "normal" vehicles. There is zero need for better than that.
Picked up my 2024 Chevy equinox ev on Friday. Love it thus far
How's the charging experience so far?
Was there a dealer markup above MSRP..??
My condolences. I'm sorry for your loss. Hopefully it wasn't for the full 35.000. Even the 28.000 for a Mexican built EV. Hopefully you have a lease
@@cmac9710$7.500. the dealership will take the tax credit. Market adjustment $4000. $3000 for unwanted add-ons and a BS Processing fees. You are never going to see one for the advertised price.
@@Newday-crmy Why? It has good range, decent charging speed, at a reasonable price
Kudos to Chevy for not putting stupid glass roofs and keeping the price lower
Finally! A decent EV from GM that doesn't look like an eco box or cost an arm and a leg. Well done GM! Thanks for the review.
What do you mean by “ from GM…” it’s first in those categories from ANYONE! Tough audience in America.
Bolt is a good car
The bolt EUV was better looking and cheaper
$51k for a decent spec (mostly comparable to a $48k Model Y LR) is a bit much... so maybe not arm and leg, but at least leg and mostly arm.
warth less than $20,000
On the Chevy website presently the only available models start at $43,295. 3LT AWD starts at $48,595. Had a 23 Chevy Bolt EUV Premiere and got tired of waiting for the Equinox so bought a used 23 VW ID.4 Pro S AWD with 961 miles for $29,395. Glad we did seeing the price point of the Equinox.
There are many good deals on used EVs right now. ID4 is a good car.
I recently purchased a loaded 23 Bolt EUV that has an MSRP of 40K for 26K.
I'm curious why you would sell the Chevy Bolt EUV that you just bought last year?
As to the equinox I think the lower trim levels are going to be the big sellers. That's probably true in the gas versions as well. You start to get into those higher trims. Why would I not just get a Tesla Model Y?
@@kens97sto171 Have you ever been in a model Y? It's like an empty shell of a car. Maybe appeals to Marie Kondo fans...
@@Chris-bg8mk
Driven them several times. I definitely don't love the interior. Pretty boring...
However the software side is about the best that there is. Acceleration and handling are quite good. And there's a ton of room.
Don't like the door handle design on the outside. Don't like the door handle design on the inside either. You shouldn't have to explain to someone how to open a door It should be obvious.
Currently drive a bolt Ev .
Got a great deal on that, and it makes an excellent rideshare car.
I have put 33,000 mi on it and 7 months.
When I was buying that weren't any good deals on Tesla's at the time.
I was making the choice today probably would pick a used model 3 from Hertz. You can get some pretty smoking deals right now
This is a PERFECT first car. We'll definitely consider one for our teen. Particularly appreciate the 'slowness' for that use case.
I’ve been saying for years that normal acceleration is a perfect trade off for decent range. Give me a car that will go four hundred miles on a charge and I would even accept a nine second zero to sixty acceleration time. Not everyone needs a slot car but we all need to get where we’re going without stopping to charge up a few times every day just to get to work and home. We should be able to only do that once or twice a week.
First car? Yall are rich
@@MrUniq Was thinking the same...more of a hand down car after 5 years. If it still runs.
Way too expensive to give to a teen as a first car and far too large. This is like a family car!
I think we’ll see these things everywhere!
Next time you’re in a new GM EV can you show the park assist feature? And test out if the google voice command works well please
GM makes nice EVs, like Ford and Rivian. But the problem is that they're losing bucket loads of money on them. And pilling a huge battery pack on them doesn't help the cost of production. GM needs to build an EV from the ground up, improve EV production technology, like Rivian's doing, and get to scale. I'm pulling for you GM. Don't retreat.
in 2030 maybe ....
@@777Outriggerbattery tech is the biggest holdup. Expensive, heavy, with highly temperamental discharge rates. Charging speed has been the one thing that has been improving and really doesn’t scare me anymore. If they’re losing money, I’m not sure if they can even see the horizon of less expensive battery solutions.
@@777Outrigger GM is expecting to turn a profit on their EVs next year. They are ramping now and the more batteries they make the cheaper it costs.
🤔...great video guys with great energy together. With the vehicles coming out please keep in mind that the regular everyday consumer isn't looking for the 0 to 60 times. They are looking for a reasonable price, features and range for everyday use. Take that into account when you both come from higher performance EVs but they don't deliver on range or features for the higher price you pay
Right? The assumption that DC fast charging is a killer....most folks drive 20-30 miles a day and might need DC charging a couple times a year tops. With a 320 mile range and 3.5 miles per kwh I could charge off my existing 20amp 120v outlet in my garage for everyday use and not even need a 240v charger installed. With just the 120v outlet you get 7mph charging. Sitting in the garage over night for 12 hrs that's 80 miles of range. My wife drives 5 miles each way to work and could do that charge once every 2 weeks 😂. There are hundreds of thousands of people that could drive that way their entire lives. It's the same as doing 0-60 times in SUV or minivan reviews. Interesting data but not relevant 99% of the time.
@@MrJbart1981 Totally agree with you. I own a 2015 Nissan Leaf S-trim. @131k miles I was greedy enough to purchase and had professionally installed a 62kWh Nissan battery pack to replace the OEM 24 kWh (83%SoH). The Leaf inexplicably lost the use of the Chademo, but with all the battery potential energy, I merely needed to plug into the wall 120-Volt outlet for my daily needs. With 180 miles range (highway speeds and climbing to 5,000' mtn pass) I can use 240- Volt commercial charger four hours at my destination to complete a roundtrip. My current work commute is merely four miles each way... so days go by before the battery pack SoC goes below 50%. Of course, it takes two days and nights to bring it from 50 to 100% @ 120-Volt wall plug. Mostly I charge it to 70 - 90%.
I'm happy that gm is finally finding their footing.. good job on the equinox
@@lelandhetrick205 I have TWO leaf's..A 2013 SL & a 2020 SV PLUS and I have been getting by with 120 Volt charging since it's alot of $$$ to get a 240 volt setup to the carport!! I think their perception is a bit warped from having access to a lot of high performance EVs. Understandable, but I wish some of these reviewers would consider the target market of the vehicles they review. Older reviewers are more capable of this, so maybe it's just a life experience thing
For most consumers price is critical. You film a lot of great EV’s but are way to expensive for the majority of people. Love the channel
Kyle, recently I drove this and the Blazer EV one after another. I tested the Blazer first, and was pretty impressed with the quality of build and performance. It was the AWD, and felt like a rocket off the line. You can tell it's quick, even with the extra size and weight. It was red with red and black interior...very upscale looking.
Next I drove a medium gray Equinox EV with the same nice red inlaid panels in the seats with black trim also. I could tell by my driving that it was smaller and pretty nimble. It was the FWD model, and was not too slow. In fact, it felt more like my 2018 Volt Premier in the Kinetic blue. I think it appeared to be about 7 second off the line to sixty! I love the acceleration and handling. I was impressed!
Honestly didn't even think about Equinox as an option but the storage capacity is just shy of Ioniq 5. And seeing that the AWD is at least "acceptable" for you guys, I may have to add this to my list of possibilities for my first EV. Can't wait for the SUV comparison vid!
This is the most important EV to come out yet, especially when they get the 1lt out. A decent looking compact SUV for sub 30k after rebates. If this one doesn't sell great it'll be surprising.
It's fwd weighs nearly 5,000# with 6 lug wheels and has slower charging than a 2018 tesla model 3 lr.
Oh yeah it also costs more than a model 3 does or a similarly equipped model Y. Tows less, less performance made in mx etc. 😀
I wonder if the announced in 2022 30k starting price base cloth seats 1lt fwd now at 35k will ever even exist?
I bet no dealer stocks any of them ALL will come with 3-5k in options or MORE.
Maybe people don’t want to be associated with elon. Plus, not everything needs to be 0-60 in 3 seconds. A person cant go from a nissan rogue to what is basically land rocket. Would you like to compare the cyber’truck’ to its gas competition? Also, GM is probably one of the only companies that actually have experience with EVs
@@green29373 not many people buy cars to virtue signal.
yea, bnut not really , the most important ones are the actual cheap ones, those are the ones who actually flip the industry, those are aswell the hardest to make, by far.
thats why they come last but we are almost there, + the new car category "robotaxi" which is the ultimate mobility imo because the cheapest of all for sure.
and price is the most important thing
@@4literv6 If my GM car breaks down I can take it to my dealer 10-15 minutes away to 2 of them. A third one just a tad further. Nearest Tesla service center is at least 2 hours away. Not everyone lives in California or near a major city. We get it you are a Tesla fanboy. Just because someone else likes something else it shouldn't bother you.
You forgot about the best one. The 2014 Spark EV has an LFP battery and 400 lb-ft torque. Also has a proper hinged CCS cover, not a fiddly dongle.
You need to compare this car to a gas RAV4 or CRV. That is where Chevy needs to get conquest sales. That’s why EV’s are 8% market share, people don’t really buy cars on 0-60 performance they buy price and practicality.
Would like to see a compare video to the ICE equinox
I think you nailed it! Especially the market for these kind of vehicles now is criss crossing into ICE market share which GM wants. These buyers may not care about 0-60 performance and.have practicality in mind. If GM can conquer this segment by nailing this benefit and keeping the price comparable to the competition ICE vehicles while reassuring EV negative public perspective then and only then will these start overtaking ICE vehicles. I like that they sell both and offer consumers the choice to cross shop between the ICE and EV counterparts.
EVs are "only" 8% of total sales because thats 100% of current US market EV production capacity. Dealers can't sell more EVs than are made
For regular people the price is the king, not 0 to 60 performance, etc.
310 miles range for $27 000 is really good.
Doesn't exist right now though. With cloth seats and very few options considering the segment it's in?
I bet not a single dealer stocks a base base base model 1lt. Everyone will have 3-5k or more in options pack's.
@@mikel4879 later this year
I am surprised. I'm not a GM fan but they did a good job on this. Nice to see all the options for driving preferences.
Haha, love the intro Kyle, I get it. This vehicle is a great entry level Ev by GM. Honestly GM as been doing some good work in the Ev industry lately, kudos to them.
The bolt EUV was good. The Blazer is way too expensive. This model is relatively expensive because there are no 1LT trims available, and the lowest available trim Fwd is 43k.
My understanding is that you get Maps for 8 years but the apps data plan is only 3 years. After that you need to pay for a data plan for the apps or maybe tether your phone. Not sure how convenient tethering your phone is, might be fine. I think reviewers need to start commenting on this because as Kyle says the apps are a big part of the experience. I drove the Blazer and was impressed at how massive the center screen is. The horsepower on the Blazer AWD felt adequate for me. I like the knobs and switches. I disagree with Kyle about the shifter. It was the one thing that felt cheap to me and I wasn’t crazy about how it functioned. Not a big deal, but a minus for me. If you test drive this, try to get the dealership to show you the apps, when I test drove the Blazer the salesman said it wasn’t ready to show the apps. I’m hoping that they have a quick way to show you how the Google system works that doesn’t require you to log in or create some kind of account. I called the dealership and wasn’t able to get ahold of someone who could explain the various plans that come with this car. That’s a problem.
No-one needs an Internet connected car
So people who lease get everything free for a standard lease term. Sneaky.
@@JohnFromArlingtron Yes. People leasing won’t care but I wonder about selling the car after that. If tethering your phone is seamless then I suppose it will be okay.
@@MegaWilderness Nobody's forcing you to buy one. Hell, if you dislike the infotainment enough, nothing's stopping you from popping a suction phone mount onto the window and using whatever mapping apps, and other things that you might want.

Between you and Francie my morning today is shot. Thanks (I mean it) 🙂
Caranddriver did their recent test and got 7.7 seconds 0-60 for a FWD trim with 21s. The bolt would do 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. So yes its kind of slow but not really because of its instant torque. WAY better than equivalent hybird like the crv and rav4 which also do 7.5 seconds or so but only with the battery not dead.
And for anyone wondering the AWD version does 5.9 seconds or so. Also 1.5 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile. Also caranddriver got 260 miles of range @ 75mph on the FWD 21s and AWD 19s.
That's right about 3.1miles per kwh so not bad at hwy speeds, but nothing impressive in 2024 for a fwd low power ground up ev.
For reference the Kia niro or kona can match or beat that as ice platform conversion evs.
@@4literv6 I want to be positive but 3.1 is unacceptable today. My bmw i3 averages 4.3 mi/kwh and is capable of 4.8.
No impressive numbers here
@@rcpmac that's silly comparison... i3 about 2000 lbs lighter with half the range, much less interior space and cargo capacity, oh and I doubt you're even averaging 4.3 mi/kwh at 75 miles per hour on the highway come on man!
21" wheels and the brakes are so small that 16" wheels would fit.
Last week I was able to test drive the new Equinox EV RS. really sweet, 1st time behind the wheel of an EV. We currently have a gas Equinox and love that. Amazing how smooth it was, and yes there is a little whinny electric motor noise but we noticed that since we didnt have the music rocking. Thanks to you all, I knew more about the car than the sales guy at the dealership
Chevy has come through with an excellent EV that’s affordable. I hope you can get your hands on the base model for review sometime soon.
Finally, a Goldilocks EV. Size, range, comfort, features, look, and performance.
IMHO the Chevrolet Bolt EV was already that. It just needed a bit faster charging. This is too big to be practical in my opinion.
My wife would agree with you. I'm 6'3" and the Bolt is too tight for me
@@swecreationsno, it wasn’t. For those of us who are taller, larger, and size 14 feet… the Bolt was not even on the table. The Blazer EV finally made a vehicle we can seriously look at. Hoping the Equinox will also. Will find out later today.
Problem with the online reviewers are they are all skinny, short, skinny leg jeans wearing folks that are more concerned with cosmetic issues and nerd issues that quite frankly no one really cares about once they finally find a truely comfortable ride.
Being a Chevy/GM is the only downside.
@@swecreationsHow would you ever figure a small SUV is “too big to be practical”?
As of the posting of this video (June 1st), only the 2LT FWD is available to order at $43,295, and the only available "in transit" models are 3LT FWD at just shy of $46k. A Blazer EV starts at $48k. The promised "base 1LT" at $33,600 won't be available until later. This is a great video on a solid car, but I'm not buying into GM's marketing BS of "less than 30k" until customers can get their hands on one without markups.
The may 2024 incentives on the Blazer were nuts. On Monday the new incentives should be released for the equinox
There are plenty of dealerships not doing mark ups....
@@Nebula1701Whining about alleged markups are the new social currency in some circles.
I guarantee chevy is losing a fortune on every one they sell. Tesla is mopping the floor with everyone.
Not a lot of dealers are doing markups on EVs where I am. Now it's more about whether or not they have interest rate incentives or MSRP knock downs.
You're smashing it, keep it coming!
And exactly how much is GM going to charge for a data plan to use their infotainment system? The whole point of Android Auto and Apple Carplay is that you are re-using something you already pay for (cell phone) instead of incurring a new subscription fee. We want less charges, not more.
That's the sad reality, and likely the main reason why my next vehicle won't be a GM one. Sad, because I've been with them since the Spark days, and am quite dependent on the wireless CarPlay they gave me in my Bolt. Like the heated steering wheel, I can't go back now.
Most comprehensive review I've seen on the Equinox. There is a lot to love. Great value....especially with the $7,500 incentive.
Those of Us Who need an economical car do not pay taxes....Low income..........And can not qualify for any tax rebate....Paul
Honestly, in black, this thing looks great
I bet this will be a great EV. The best might come from Tesla, but GM has a long history of building well thought out and reliable EVs. The Bolt and even the Spark EV have superb reputions.
Y'all are having too much fun!
Thank you for the review. I'm still holding out for a Tesla minivan, but I'm glad GM is putting something out there that will meet folks' needs in an entry level EV.
Keep 'em coming.
Thanks!
Saw my first Equinox EV today at a Supermarket parking lot. Not a bad looking thing, and the good range with AWD and 460km range is a good package.
Idk why but I really love how long his reviews are. They’re so thorough and detailed that you really don’t need to look any further
The KYLE/JORDAN review team is awesome! You should do this every time.
Don't forget the Spark.
Or the 1997 ev s10? Which they did the same thing as the ev1, leased em then took them back&crushed them.
Oh yeah gm also had ev trucks over a century ago. 👍🏻
He mentioned the S-10
That 3RS you're driving at the end (fully specced) is going to cost the same as the Cadillac Optiq. So a no brainer to get the Caddy with more power, slightly higher range number, and much nicer interior.
It's not a no brainer if all you are doing is leasing it which is what is going to be happening with a lot of these EV's. You are not taking that into consideration.
This form factor is more appealing imo
Edit nvm got the Optiq confused with the new Cadillac sedan EV
Both have identical power trains..............Paul
Nice for the money, love the big screens compared to other EV's.
Very nice that it comes with so many adapters and so well organized, others should take note
This will be a decent value EV for people who are cost conscious and don't care about power, speed, or the quietest ride. That's how mass market vehicles tend to be. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the price point shouldn't bring expectations of refinement.
That's the problem I see with a lot of CZcams comments about this car. They just don't get that not everyone cares about power, speed, and all that jazz.
$50 grand....In My mind must bring much refinement................Paul
Love this video thanks
Damn this thing is actually good! Thanks for the video
Nice review. I like the conversation with the camera person. I'll put the Equinox on my consider list.
Another great review. Thank you Kyle & Jordan.
Please do a review on the Volvo US EX30 as soon as possible. I have been on the reserve list practically from its introduction. From everything I see and read it is to good to be true. RWD version.
Heavy for what it is, slow charging so low range, lousy efficency so far across many user reports and anything decently equipped is 40-46k.
Yes, front motor as the main drive gives the best regen performance having the rear kick in on the AWD makes total sense.
Why
@@BenefitOfTheDoubtInquirywhen a car slows down the weight shifts to the front. Having the motor connected to the front wheels means it gets more force there to drive the regen.
So how were the seats for comfort and the visibility, do the a pillars get in the way ? My volt was hard to see around the a pillar. And the seats in the bolt are bad.
We had a base Captiva Sport, essentially the same as an Equinox. I can see many people with either sliding forward into this EV as a natural replacement. “Fast enough” for many watching the price and similar performance. I have a Y dual-motor now, so it would seem a bit too slow for me. But I like the look of the interior and the dual and large displays, and of course legendary GM air conditioning power. I think they will eventually sell a lot of them. Nice quick take, Kyle.
Kyle, you should drive my 2015 Prius V for a while. Your view of "slow" would change. I just trundle along at the speed limit or a few miles over. I get everywhere I want to go, at 44 mpg without any effort at economy, other than restraining myself from buying something else. Living in the country in a county with only a rumor of one public charging station maybe existing (haven't looked for it), the hybrid is the way to go for me for now. But the slowness you perceive is a matter of perception. For daily use, that Equinox is as fast as it needs to be.
Average traffic does not accelerate very fast off a green light.
We test drove the V a long time ago; literally could not feel it accelerate off the red light, so I get what you mean.
Totally agree. Kyle has a lead foot and likes to race. 0 to 60 fatigue.
With these reviewers, It's getting to the point to where, if ANY EV won't run an 8 second 1/4 mile, it's dangerously slow, and unusable.
a plug in hybrid like the prius prime would be a good bridge technology. It has around 50hp more and can charge with a 120volt out just fine
One of the best reviews I’ve seen on this channel - been watching for a few years now.
You and Jordan joking around, plus him replying from behind the camera was awesome.
Great dynamic and great car 👍
I hope they make the Malibu as an EV. I know the US market is SUVs, but sedans are still relevant also. I am a fan of the Chevy Malibu.
Chevy killed the Malibu
Thank you so much for the actual comparison. With a potential move back to Chicago the AWD is the way to go now that I’ve seen someone actually do both drivetrains in the same video. I did see that wireless charging was removed from production so it sucks the USB is not mounted down in the cubby under the HVAC controls where GM typically puts it.
You can add wireless charging with a good cup holder charger
GM had originally specked the 3RS with the 19.2 kW charger but it has since been removed for this model year... you can only spec it on the Equinox's cousin the Optiq.
It looks great, hope it holds up!
My dad just got this in the 2RS trim. Got it over a Y because the lease was cheaper than Tesla. Interior is really nice and a good mix of screen and physical buttons. We have three Tesla’s in the family, so it was time to switch it up.
The Ultium cells (LG) can charge better, but GM is being conservative and charging to a lower C rate per cell to not exceed ~50 to 52 degrees Celsius maximum temperature. For reference, Tesla charges to 62 degrees Celsius per cell. You will have far less degradation on the GM cells than on Teslas.
Yep - the lower numbers for good reasons.
To be fair, degradation on Teslas is pretty good. Other than a +/- 5% degradation in the first year or so, it then slows down a lot. I would still prefer faster charging and am not worried about degradation.
Supply the reference of 62C battery temperatures in a Tesla!
Teslas have the most efficient heatpump system in an EV with the Octovalve design ensuring the battery is bought to optimum charging temperature of 40C before the car arrives at the charger and limiting to 45C during charging. During normal driving the temperature is kept in the 15-30C range.
The cooling system in BEVs is a prime area where engineering expertize shows. See the videos on the Ford mess at Munro teardown. and comments on the Hyundai three system approach...
With CATL and BYD packs rated at over a million kilometres, GM should not be worried about limiting charging rates! Unless their hvac is sub par...
Make sure you catch the Equinox teardown!

My Bolt EUV has a similar HVAC system when set to Auto. If you turn the heat on high and get it warm and then change it to 70, it cranks the AC to decrease the temp even if it is 20 degrees outside. Oh well, first world problems. I love my Bolt and I will be thinking about trading up to one of these in the next couple of years.

Bolt owner here. Last thing Im trying to do is go into another 40+ minute 10 - 80% charging vehicle. Also, no carplay, no android auto, no frunk, and front charge port location. All deal breakers for me.
Driving face first into parking spots disrupts every cell in my body😂. I've been backing into parking spots since I was 16 with a learners permit.
Umm, the bolt needs way more than 40 minutes to go 10-80% and to be fair, this will do it in the 36 minute range, practical in use experience on trips this will charge about 3 times faster than the Bolt for equivalent added miles.
@@jefffaust3244 Please post the link to that 10-80 time.
I like the built in google map and google assistance so I don't have to depend on my phone. Also built in Spodify and Alexa. Also like the 2 screens as opposed to the Tesla with just one screen. Much nicer screens up higher for better visability
10-80% are all different I think lol I don’t know why they don’t add the miles + time it takes lol
@barterdog I'm holding off for the Boltium. It's confirmed LFP battery tech, with Ultium motor, and perhaps 70kW capacity. LFP generally hold charging curve to 90ish percent. So even if it's only 120kW peak, we should see 0-100 in under 1 hour. So 10-80 should be pretty sweat, sub 30 minutes.
Mary Bara must be breaking out the high end wine watching Kyle say such good things about this vehicle.
Agree to that.
And where is the "Legacy Auto" haters? And the Tesla crazy fans?
@@stennordenmalm9900
I’m here. I think it’s great. Most Tesla owners used to drive other makes of vehicles before Tesla was a thing, and I’m quite fond of legacy auto makers and have been rooting for them for years to compete with Tesla. It’s also good to see Hyundai pushing Tesla to be better. But I’m impressed with the Equinox and would never discourage anyone from buying one.
@@bluedog9935You don’t sound crazy or like a hater?
lol Barra Is lucky she has a job still. Every thing she’s touched EV wise has been a disaster so far
@@stennordenmalm9900Crazy Tesla fan here too. I’m rooting for ALL EVs, and rooting for all legacy automakers to produce great EV competition. Competition is great for prices and quality, pushing all automakers to strive to do better. This looks like a great SUV - I’m genuinely very happy this is coming out and that it was reviewed so well. It will probably be very popular, moving more people to electric vehicles. And am looking forward to Tesla turning on the Supercharger network for GM, just as they’ve done for Ford and Rivian. All good things.
I test drove and enjoyed the ride also. FYI, I am 6’8” tall and I fit in the drivers seat easily.
Beautiful design. Very similar to my Nissan Ariya. I'd look at it for my next car, sure!
Aaw... My Corvair got an honorable mention. Thanks, Kyle!!
Thanks for the video!! A real test with any EV vehicle is when wifi/bluetooth connections are down how the vehicle operates because total dependence on software run vehicles ICE or EV isn't a thorough review. How does the car function with limited software capabilities, as we all know the "what if's" can drive or tank sales so appealing to questions when the electrical grid is down or connection to wifi/bluetooth fail how does your car function may be a worthwhile endeavor.
Is there a similar trick for camp mode in the Ford products? Pretty useful indeed. I just can't stand my lightning turning off when I'm watching my kids game in the Texas heat and having to constantly press the pedal to keep it running.
You forgot to mention the Chevy Spark! I had that 2015 in 2016, and got the 2017 Bolt in 2019. Equinox gas model was impressive. Looking forward to testing a high spec EVquinox, vs the Rivian R2.
my cadillac lyriq also has the turn signal sync bug. At first it freaked me out but now I've gotten used to it, not sure why it's happening though
So the charge port is on the same side as the steering wheel? Great when you want to charge at a roadside charger. Not.
Thanks! Looking good GM 😎
Amazing, mindblowing,gamechanging!
50:37 you’re driving my route home. That’s pretty impressive for that ramp…those speeds are about where my 3 starts to lose the tires. 2nd year for the Detroit Grand Prix…they make a 1.7 mile track on the roads downtown for the weekend.
Why do you all keep saying Cadillac doesn’t support over the air updates when it clearly says they do on their website??
Went to buy the Equinox EV 2LT RS AWD, drove it and liked it. However, after driving the Blazer 2LT EV AWD, which is oddly and currently similarly priced at this time, and loved it. The Blazer EV was just better sized, better seat controls and comfortable overall ride. At such close prices, I purchased a Blazer EV 2LT AWD, w/ panoramic moon roof and absolutely LOVE IT!
I HIGHLY suggest driving and inspecting both before doing anything.
The Equinox can get up to $50k with a damn manual, plastic hand crank, to lift the passenger's seat. WTH? That was so wild to me for the price.
When the $39k model ACTUALLY becomes available, it'll be a hit, but right now,
I'd highly suggest looking at the Blazer EV if you're going to spend money.
That's impressive!
I have a Bolt euv Lt that I really like, and I'll wait to consider an Equinox ev until it has the nacs socket, and I want to see what winter range is. My 2019 awd Prius was supposed to get less mileage than the fwd version, rated at 50mpg, but I averaged 56mpg over 55K miles.
Right now there are 9,219 electric vehicles under $40,000 with maximum of 25,000 miles on them for sale
Thanks for the update.
Where is your review of the Cadillac Optiq that you mentioned in this video? I can't find it.
Looking to get my first ev. Thinking of ford muckie, eqinox, or id4. Your thoughts?
Whatever you get the best deal on, they are all good. I’d get the equinox or the id4 though since they have the tax credit unlike the mach e even though I like the mach e the best
Trick at 17:00 doesn't apparently work on all Ultiums. For Lyriq, tapping the accelerator 3 times doesn't bring the car to life, and the subsequent brake pedal press does not activate always-on mode. For Ultium cars with the power button (like the Lyriq), is there another method?
I LOVE ITS LOOKS :D
Subtitle: Two dorks play with a toy, oh-so impressed by how entertaining they are.
Never expected to find us at Woodward Hills 😄
The Detroit Grand Prix is running this weekend.
Always found this cute, but is the trunk actually bigger than in the Blazer EV? Cuz that one has a surprisingly small trunk.
Technically yes because they wanted more rear seat room in the blazer. With the seats down Blazer is way bigger.
Do you think power liftgate can be optioned onto a 1LT?
Currently Bolt EUV owner here. My only complaint is the low pack voltage. I'm frequently charging at 50 kW stations and this car will actually charge slower on those because of the low nominal voltage. Otherwise seems like a very solid car
I have a 2023 Bolt EUV Premier and am thinking of moving up next year, once the NACS ports are common on most vehicles. I'm thinking of getting either a Chevy Equinox, a Tesla Model Y or a Hyundai Ioniq 5. Any thoughts on points I should consider before making a choice?
The Mach-e might be worth considering, should have NACS and might have another price drop by next year
I'm having a hard time deciding between this and 2024 kona ev ultimate.. but to late waiting on kona delivery...
I like how GM is naming their EVs after the ICE instead of adding goofy combinations of letters and numbers
looks a little like the Fisker from the outside, thats nice.
Does look good
so finally, at 12 minutes you give us a look under the hood, of the rear hatch....surprised i persevered, i came back to later..
I appreciate the low-speed part of the review. Not enough reviewers do that part. And the behavior of the car seems decent. Will the 1-pecal drive setting stay where you set if after a reboot, or will it reset?
I like that you can choose one pedal or hybrid brake!
Does it have sentry mode?
impressed by the rear opening, no sill to lift over of t heavy items, better than my old crv, length must be about the same, width is about 6" less i think.
My 2020 Kia Soul EV limited has great passing power, actually you have to watch out when turning to pass as lots of torque steer. I would have expected better high speed performance, likely the tuning could be improved For better highway manners?
was a good report with lots of good info, too bad there was not more on the charger screen, just one glimpse in the beginning, would have liked to see it ramp up...
I just did a nation-wide search for Equinox EV and the cheapest one in stock is $43,295. Nothing in the low 30s. Not even close. Base Tesla Y is $44,990. Cheapest Mach-E Select is $37,213 (250 mi range)
