Heyman is always great but we were dying watching his facial expressions as this match went on. WWE needs a picture in picture option just showing Paul outside the ring, he’s so friggan funny.

When Roman was hitting Sami with the chair I was laughing my ass off watching Paul covering his face in such a dramatic way. He has to be nominated for some Oscar or something
It's the way he uses everything he has at his disposal. He has a tie. So he fiddles with his tie. Suit jacket, so he grabs the lapels with pride whenever Roman is winning. The ropes, the canvas, his shirt collar, and every single bit of his face. What makes it so smart is that he knows he's doing it, and why.

This match had me on the edge of my seat. Great psychology, great use of the crowd, just an awesome match
I wasn't even on the edge of my seat, but I'd be a liar if I said I didn't jump out of it during Sami's near fall. It was so damn close, I was convinced they had just pulled the trigger on a Sami title run.. Was glued to my screen from that point on. Fantastic execution from everyone in this match.
I knew Roman was winning but the match sold me a ticket just to kick me in the balls😂

Best part of Jim’s breakdown of Heyman taking the KO stunner is that there is a video of Heyman in 2001 taking the same exact bump from a stunner by Austin. One knee, Albano flail, soft landing. So Paul hasn’t changed in his later years, that was always his bump for the stunner😂

I knew Roman would win going in. No doubt in my mind. But there was one tiny microsecond when I thought "Sami might win this damn thing". That's how good this match was.

I love Roman but I’m gonna give him some major credit here, he ate the crowd reaction up, from the chorus of boos to the FU Roman chant, he ate it up, and had that crowd in the palm of his hands
He’s a star hands down. He’s got the swagger of a top guy. Carries himself as such, and does his job incredibly well. Plus he doesn’t need to know a bajillion holds or bust out every flippy move in the world to have a 5 star match.

One would have to be absolutely delusional if they actually believed that there was any universe where Sami Zayn was going to be a world champion...There is no universe where he is world champion material. I like the guy, he's talented BUT world champion material he is not....He's a midcard workhorse OR someone you put in a world title match knowing he's going to lose but both guys make each other look strong.

Everybody I've seen loves Samantha. Me included. I've seen no negative reception of her at all. Samantha is the best ring announcer in the business today.
The fake sounding growl scream is so dumb. But other than that she wasn’t bad. She can project her voice and get people hyped up without doing that dumb growly thing.

The crowd was molten hot for this match and stole the show. I enjoyed the match overall, from the reactions from the fans to Roman getting yelled out by Sami's wife and Paul Heyman's reactions in the corner. Sadly as much as we all wanted Sami to win, I feel it wasn't going to happen. Sami did prove that he is worthy of being a Main Event star and World champion. He also is a Champion of the people. I do admit that the double Ref bump felt overbooked and KO finally coming out was just to try and send the crowd happy. The story isn't over and we still have to see how all this ends at Mania.
Jey sold the spear from Sammi like he was in a head on collision.
The fans acknowledging Sami coming to the ring was truly special. Happy for him. Great work from everyone.

Sami did watch K.O. get crucified by The Bloodline before he finally decided to do something. That shouldn't have surprised anybody. K.O. isn't the kind of guy that was going to suddenly forget or forgive everything Sami did when he was The Bloodline, especially at War Games and on the Raw after War Games. K.O. didn't owe Sami a thing. Sami should count himself fortunate that anybody bothered to help him at all.
This match reminded me of Money In The Bank 2011 where CM Punk was so over in his hometown amidst him quitting WWE.
WWE ppvs has been like face glued to the TV type PPVs..I mean the matches is so good and so much drama and so much excitement I literally was holding my piss because couldn't stop watching or didn't wanna miss nothing lol..very very good
That happened to me during the men's chamber match. I went to piss then I missed the Logan Paul interference lol
The biggest thing is that Sami clearly had Roman beat with the referee down. Sami didn't beat Roman. But everyone knows that Sami CAN beat Roman

It’s funny how in a year we went from Jim trashing Sami for the Knoxville match to Jim praising sami for his work since.
It's genuinely nice to hear Jim happy about some wrestling; I feel like he deserves it
There was so much emotion in that arena in that night it was really amazing to even watch on TV the way they got behind sami. The match itself the finish was very over booked so didn't like the ending of the match but sami deserved that night
Then do the Dusty. Have the downed ref "see" the Roman chairshots and Sami gets the three with a second ref, reverse on Raw and proceed. Hell, even do a courtroom spot where Heyman sues to get the result overturned.
I sincerely would have taken a more focused moment on him winning and pining Reigns with no ref.
I know Reigns had to win to face Cody, I get that. However, I would have wanted a little more for Sami and
that story. Then Reigns could have gone to face Cody. Now, I just don't care. They took all my care by making
such a great storyline. It got me good. I didn't care about Cody watching it and Now I really don't care after it.

When the fans were going nuts, all I could think was “This is an amazing moment,” because the crowd was INCREDIBLE!!!! I wish all fans reacted like this….just incredible.

Who's surprised? Cornette's views on women in wrestling make the Taliban seem progressive. Sure didn't he rant about Becky Lynch getting pregnant as if it was similar to some heinous war crime. And other thing Corny, yes you can be great entertainment but please NEVER EVER attempt to "sing" on air again. About the only positive to Punk not being on TV these days is we don't hear the "LIKE MUSSOLINI!" in the clips😆.

Tbf working with a celebrity and making a match out of it goes a long way in the books backstage, that match eas probably a big reason as to why they put him with roman, he proved hes reliable, entertaining and willing to work with anyone including the old age jackass boys

This match was booked semi-perfectly considering the layers and situations involving everyone. (Not perfect but the best of this particular situation.) Roman has been elevating everyone on his path, and the historic reign has been a great one. They got us to invest in all the opponents of Roman and got us wanting him to dethrone the champ. Every single time, everyone falls short due to something or the other, and it makes sense.
Sami has taken the ball and has run like no other. His time will come, and it will be glorious! Jey and Jimmy are relevant again. Owens is around. And then there's the prodigal son, Cody Rhodes!
The booking of the main event will definitely be a treat to behold and colour me intrigued for the Road to Mania!

No. A champ' that wins because of the 17 guys who run in every time to save him doesn't elevate anyone. The world title has been stale and skippable for years.
Montreal is the last city where the entire audience suspends disbelief, and buys into the Kayfabe. Other cities will be like “did you see on Twitter? Old mates contract expired yesterday, and he complained about his gimmick and not getting a push!” while the show is live, while in Montreal they’re like “Sami is so cool! He was almost an Uso, but Roman is as nasty man!”. Montreal is the Saudi Arabia of Canada, where the fans are hype and believe what they see despite what they know.

The ring sounded really great not sure if they turned the mics up on them but sounded louder than normal 👍🏾

I haven’t rooted for a wrestler in hopes he could pull an upset in a long time. In fact i think the last time I remember cheering for another wrestler to win was the Undertaker against Yokozuna at the Royal Rumble.
That is until this match. THIS is how well this storyline has done.

This match reminds me of John Cena vs Rob Van Dam at ECW One Night Stand 2006 but in a bigger stage
I think this is our first real contender for match of the year in 2023. This is the bar they have to clear at Mania, and one of the matches they'll be playing in Reigns' and Sami's HOF video packages.
I thought it was a nice touch when Roman was walking over toward Sami’s wife and the guy beside them stepped up in front of her and the kids.

I don’t dig it because we were so blessed with Howard Finkel for so many years. Announcements from him was like hearing the voice of god announcing the coming of titans in a battle for the ages, all beginning with, “This following contest, scheduled for ONE fall…”

My guess is he'll win the tag at WM and than win the MITB and cash in. It would be my route and it could be incredible booking IF... Roman win back is title and BOOM, Sami music hit and he cash in. Otherwise he could have another world title especially if Roman got it.

Sorry, gotta disagree. I don't hate her voice or her pacing/cadence, but that vocal fry/growl/whatever you want to call it drives me absolutely insane. It wouldn't even be that bad if it was used sparingly, but it's SO overused, like every other word. I can't stand it.

Match was fantastic and I wish every feud got the tender loving care the bloodline did because it was one of those matches that I found myself actually wanting the Babyface to win despite me being a fan of the heel more, simply because of the story being told along the way

The "female ring announcer" is actually great. She doesn't deliver the lines like she's a pageant contestant. She belts that stuff out. And to Brian, no, they didn't slow things down "too much." When you're getting THAT kind of reaction, enjoy it while you got it. Don't treat it like a normal match and miss that opportunity.
I don't think Samantha herself is the problem, is that she tries way too hard to sound like Justin Roberts when announcing. It's almost an impersonation. Mike Rome has the exact same problem.

I totally disagree with their comments against WWE ring announcer Samantha Irwin. I think she is very high quality (especially in her announcements for Imperium) and adds incredible anticipation to the match. Let’s all go back to bashing real no-talents like AEW’s Justin Roberts.
I was kinda hoping the Sami vs Roman and Roman vs cody matches would end with the belts split up, but it was a great match.
C’mon Jim & Brian. Give Triple H some credit. Changes don’t happen overnight. But you can actually see what Hunter is doing with the best talent he has on the roster.

The match was great. It told a great story and the crowd made the match. Sami wasn't going to win, but whoever booked this match made it believable that Sami could win. Roman's trash talk to Sami's wife was excellent. Jey being tempted to hit Roman with the chair was great. I was worried that Cody would make it to save for Sami instead of Kevin Owens. This is Sami Zayn's moment Cody will get his moment in April.

Match was great but once Jimmy infeared it got a little bit cluttered. Great crowd though and great moment for Sami. Roman also no sold that kick at the end pretty masterfully😂
Sami Zayn's wife was great she added so much to the match just by being there and interacting with Roman. Sami's wife is a way better actress than any women in the AEW roster. These women can learn from Sami's wife. Especially Saraya.
Those Canadian wives are the best. Reminded me of back in the day with the Hart Family in the crowd. Sami's wife added a lot

I knew Sami wasn't going to win, it was obvious but I still was invested in the match for obvious reasons. I like the pace of the match. They didn't go 500 mph and they told a great story
Overbooked finish. Match was stellar otherwise. I still say Sami getting some color would have created even more drama. In fact, I thought that's why his Wife was wearing that white tshirt.
I was just telling my friend the night of Chamber that saving the effect of getting color for War Games, Hell in a Cell or Elimination Chamber instead of every damn week like AEW or the indys would be reasonable.

There are only a handful of times I can remember the crowd erupting at the bell. The last time was Austin vs Owens at Mania, and before that, Golberg vs Hogan in WCW.

I'm interested to see if Cody can get that type of reaction as Champion in general. I absolutely believe he's ready to take ahold of the mantle as a Face. I just wonder if the fans that were behind Zayn will hold it against Cody long term.

Easy. Cody makes some key saves. Some promos about doing it for Dusty, his family, the WWE Universe, and Sami himself. Later, One of the two can turn and we have ourselves a great follow-up feud
They need to build up Cody so he's at least close to Roman's level
Cody has the problem of near-zero build. He feels like he's feuding with Heyman more than Reigns. And sadly he has not been around enough to feel like he is a main eventer yet. He has the look, but not the story.

I really want to see what they do next with Sami. I think the best thing to do is continue to make him a thorn in Roman’s side. Maybe Sami plays a part in Roman losing at Mania? This way, you transition back to Sami v the Bloodline after Mania and Cody fulfill’s his destiny. Only issue I see happening is it could diminish Cody’s title win but there are ways they can have Sami help Cody without making Cody look weak.
