You know damn well Vince was laughing his ass off backstage... Jim forgot the taser and the giant hand slap lol
I saw someone say that Mark Henry and Mae Young’s son debut at wrestlemania with a picture of the giant hand. It made me laugh.

Hearing pat McAfee say "partyboy's cheeks were clapping"
While commentating a wrestling segment is something I never thought I'd EVER hear☠️
Cole saying this is "Naked Mideon 2.0" popped me.
McAfee said something like “ I wish I could say this was the first time I seen Partyboys ass but unfortunately l would be lying” or something along those lines 😂
Pat was on fire during this one. You could hear Cole cracking up at him
I know this comment will get hated on, but Cole and Pat are as good as any duo commentary team.
@@matthewfrohbieter1803 allow me to be the first to NOT hate on this then lol
It was HILARIOUS to hear my 11yo son saying "There's NO WAY that Knoxville wins this match!" and all I kept thinking is "He doesn't understand the adsurdity that WWE is capable of!" LoL
Your 11 year old already understands bad booking.
@Jedirie J don't fuck with Dark Shark or Jasper lol
Man that’s awesome, I miss having that perspective.
Its true. One on One, Sami wins. Buy this had basically a whole team against him
Well we all know WWE hates happy endings 99% of the time so even I thought he was gonna lose
I loved how they uploaded this before the Cody return and Brock/Roman. Brian knows what his audience wants.
Does Brian edit the videos

Now lets all enjoy this dissection of a trash fire.
LOVED the trash fire haha
People love negativity..and Corny is one of the most negative people alive.
Knowing who the Jackass Crew are and hearing Jim introduce them by description only is one of the greatest joys of my life
i thought party boy was just a fan too until i realized who it was
Hearing Jim say “MIDGET!” with such disdain had me laughing out loud while in traffic on my way home from work. God Bless Corny.
FUCKING HILARIOUS BRO. I AM DYING

Thinking of Jim watching this match and thinking party boy was a mark when he came in has me dying 😂😂
Hilarious
He needs to film his reactions.
It would be GOLD!
Why? What next, a Star wars movie? Whats the difference?
For most people tweeting they wanted to hear Cornette rip the match apart it is because Jim's rants are entertaining. Not because they agree with his opinion.
for real. the match was fucking unique and amazing. even my girlfriend who hates wrestling was captivated
Of course. I was highly entertained by the match but also entertained by Jim hating it.
Most people would agree with Jim's opinion because what he said is true.
@@greghuffman3061 That's legitimately one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. 😂🤦♂️
@@greghuffman3061 The only amazing aspect is that you're mindless enough to enjoy it.
I loved the meme showing the giant hand hitting Sami that said Mark Henry and Mae Young's baby debuts at WrestleMania! Now that's long term storytelling! LOL
I feel ashamed to admit that… I actually had a lot of fun watching this match 😂
completely unashamedly i loved the hell out of this. they put in a lot of effort and it was unique
Who didn't? It was the match of the weekend behind FTR-Briscoes
I wanted to hate it, but it was too damn funny.
I loved it too!
Yeah it was awesome. Normally I wouldn't like something like this but I understood it was Knoxville and everything they did was very Jackass and it was HIGHLY entertaining to watch. Despite what Jim says AEW does do A LOT of worse shit than this and it is worse than this like their stadium stampede garbage.
Hearing Jim describe Chris Pontius and Wee Man with a vague description may be one of my favorite bits in the history of his podcasts.
Jim almost had a heart attack just reviewing this match.
if he survived watching Omega vs a little girl and a blow-up doll, he can survive anything

Not a heart attack, but once again, all the furniture was overturned in the living room of Castle Cornette.

@Jay Bee I remember during Ruthless Aggression when Umaga clobbered Steve O. Chris Pontius and Steve O even had a nice tag team move attempt before Umaga squashed them. Then Steve O no sold and Umaga started beating the shit out of him xD. Good times. I like to rewatch the clip with SteveO and Pontius talking about it
Hearing Jim say “MIDGET!” with such disdain had me laughing out loud while in traffic on my way home from work. God Bless Corny!

God bless him😂 more like to hell with cornball. I bet he's the negative old fart that everyone hates on his block.
I'm surprised Brian went with it tbh, he's usually swiftly in on Corny's old expressions. In the UK they are even removing the word Midget from the sweets Midget Gems. They are now named Mini Gems 😂
He’s still living in the 80s lol
Old man shakes fist at the clowns during circus
The angrier Jim gets reviewing this match the more I laugh and the more I like the match in retrospect. Jim's anger actually makes the dumb stuff funnier.
Lmfaooo facts

@@Jackaljkljkl why do we act like WWE isn’t as prone to this stuff
@@rocthaice24 I think bad WCW and TNA tended to be utterly stupid, and therefore funny.
Bad WWE tends to just be boring.
Of course, the WWE gave us Katie Vick, Gene Snitsky's baby kick, Mae Young giving birth to a hand (etc ), but that kind of stuff was happening weekly during the worst periods of WCW and TNA.
Jim having an aneurism over the amount of mud show in that segment 😂

This match had me concerned for Jim's blood pressure.
I knew Jim was going go mad towards this
I went into the match thinking it would be awful... but I think Sami did such a good job in the match. He made them look way better than they should have.
I am not saying I want more of this, but it was funny and something my kids loved.
this was honestly the best that could’ve come out of a johnny knoxville match. and there was great psychology, he focused on the balls and that’s what got him the win
Great psychology? We might have watched the same match but we most definitely didn't see the same thing.

I think we have finally moved on from having awful celebrity matches. This match knew what it wanted to be and excelled at it.
Exactly you know it's not going to be a Gotch vs Hackenschmidt technical classic.
How about we just don't have celebrity matches. There are so many underutilised talent on the main roster that could have benefited from a wrestlemania moment. Give them the opportunity that's what they are on the roster for to wrestle.
@@baileyjones5744 Underutilized talent don’t draw money. Celebrities do. Not saying that’s right or wrong. But WWE is in the business of money and they go where the money is.

I'd pay money for Jim to do a watch along of 1 of the Jackass movies
There will be something in those movies Jim will laugh at. Then he'd hate himself even more
Why?
i dont think he could get past the first 10 min of a Jackass movie
Not gonna lie, Zayn got over with me when he booted that Wee Man in the face
That "offer a girl a million dollars offer a girl a dollar" line he took that from Winston Churchill
Jim Cornette is the Winston Churchill of Pro Wrestling
Growing up around the first Starcade and Wrestlemania, I used to take wrestling seriously and maybe 25 years ago this would've "offended" me as a diehard fan. But on Wrestlemania Sunday I watched my 10 year old twins laughing and having a ball watching this match...and that is all I need to see.
...and ps...his booking was cheesy.
@@joegreene7619 exactly. It's funny watching people conveniently ignore that WWFs entire success in the 80s was because of marketing with celebrities.
@@edsnark3781 I think the key term here is WWF. This is consistent with that brand from the 80's. If you were an NWA fan, probably not as much. I was a fan of both so I had no issue with it.
...last thing from me...I am about done with Brian Last.
You weren't offended by cartoonie and cheesy characters and gimmicks that have always been there in the 80s and 90s?..
I lost it at the giant rat trap. This match was dumb, but enjoyable so. Wee Man slam was a terrific spot.
was hoping wee man do the hogan andre spot when he falls out from using his power
Johnny Knoxville was dressed like Andy Kaufmann. I've been watching wrestling for only like a decade and even I picked up on that.
Just looked it up lol. Kinda but I see your point.
@@scrappy93 it's more obvious in his rumble appearance and then he inverted the colors for Mania
Knoxville has even said, Kaufman was one of his inspirations. Well said.
Wasn’t even universally hated whatsoever. I don’t know where Jim is getting that from.
He thinks all the people eager to see him get mad about the match are people who also hate it.
Ironically enough the only other notable person I saw who hated the match was fellow cranky old man Dave Meltzer
It's common among people who do wrestling reviews..
1) I loved it, therefore everyone loved it
Or
2) I hated it, therefore everyone hated it
one thing that Jim is neglecting to mention which he may not even know this but ... those guys aren't amateurs.
they may not be professional wrestlers but if I am not mistaken they are professional stuntmen.
so well clearly wrestling and being a stepman are or different there are similarities in terms of how you do things to protect yourself while making something look more dangerous than it is.
That’s why I knew Knoxville was gonna take some good bumps. He is a pro and is trained on how to protect himself. All he needed to do was learn how to do it in the context of a wrestling ring and he was fine
Yeah, Jim was just finding ways to hate on them with that comment. He clearly has no clue what he’s talking about when it comes to Jackass.
“I’m an attention whore” Steve -O
@@L3ghair well, to be fair I highly doubt Corny has ever seen the show or any of the movies
@@TSears2010 true but he’s making himself look foolish by talking about things and people he has no clue about
You have to admit on one thing, Johnny Knoxville did a fantastic Tornado DDT off the top rope.
“This is Cinema” - Martin Sccorsese
This is what I expected from anything with Johnny Knoxville, I wasn't going to be serious, it was going to be insane and off the wall. If you are going to do a comedy match, this is how it needs to be done. I never laughed and had so much fun watching a wrestling match like this. Of course mark my words, you know Tiny Khanman will be stealing ideas from this match for his next "Deathmatch" in AEW.
You've been listening to Corny too much, form your own opinions
And you can bet Tiny Khan will screw up this type of outlaw indy mudshow match. I do not like Jackass or outlaw indy mudshow matches, but I found this match funny and made logical sense because (1) it was clear this type of match played to Johnny Knoxville's strengths, and (2) it allowed outside interference.
Plus I'm sure Sami Zayn's really happy with the extra zeroes at the end of the Wrestlemania check.
I doubt it, Khan knows a terrible idea when it is this blatantly obvious. Remember AEW is supposed to straddle the line between real wrestling promotions and WWE, where it is a combination of comedy sport entertainment for the casual fan and real wrestling for the die hard wrestling fan. whereas WWE is supposed to be sports entertainment through and through with the occasional OMG that was actually a descent/good wrestling match
Living rent free. Pathetic.
this was better than expected tbh
it wasnt. Jim was right for once. a complete joke and it went way to long. waste of time.

@@Sneednfeedn lol sure
This match was put in for pure comedy relief. Not every second of every show needs to be some five-star serious affair. Not every fan is some above 40 hardcore wrestling commentator. This match was geared towards a teenage or younger audience and I think it delivered in what it set out to do.
I love cornette but I couldn’t disagree with him more here. This match was fun as hell and so entertaining. I popped throughout, it absolutely exceeded expectations. Not every match has to be some serious slugfest. Cornette didn’t exactly protect the business with that abomination of a match he had with Paul e back at great American bash. Lighten up Jim
His match with Paul E was pretty good. Just a mamma's boy against a yuppie.. it was believable and they took it seriously.
If your gonna spend 80 dollars on something that was set up to entertain literal children then well done dummy. Wrestling doesnt have to be serious but jesus christ
I am seriously laughing my ass off with this review of Jim cornette, if Jim was commenter at wrestlemania 38, what if, that will never happen.
There are videos with clips from this show over the actual match he's talking about... and they're incredible. Next best thing.
So damn funny to see what he's shitting on while he's doing it.
This was a great match in person
That's what amuses me - Dave Meltzer slagged the match off despite previously defending the Young Bucks matches because the audience enjoyed those. It's almost like the snide numpty is bought and paid for or something...
Haven't seen the match yet, but I've seen bits and it does too much to remind me that wrestling is fake. I can see why others would enjoy the car crash spectacle of it, but at the same time I'm going to have a hard time buying Zayn as credible if he goes for a championship again. It's maybe the sort of match you'd give a manager in the territories because they were meant to be ineffectual as fighters so maybe I'd have less of an issue with it if it were say Malcolm Bivens instead of Zayn in there
@@CaptLoquaLacon In all fairness, they pinned him when he "couldn't" get out because of a mouse trap. Otherwise he was kicking and fighting to get up. Lol

Jims completely wrong the match was liked by both wrestling fans, “journalists” and casuals. I had a couple of friends over who don’t watch wrestling and no one paid attention to any match except this one once they heard the Jackass theme. After the match I literally missed the woman’s tag and even some of edge and styles cause we couldn’t stop talking about it, it was hilarious and a Jackass show in a match basically. And yes Jim they’re celebrities their movie went #1 its opening weekend.
This match was the definition of slapstick, and I loved every minute of it.

This match was awesome. Idk where Jim is getting the idea that it was universally hated, I saw the opposite. A small minority of people will have a problem with this match, but let's not get carried away like everyone was offended by it
Honestly I saw alot of people loving this match. People knew what this was going to be and was curious on what they would do. It was entertaining for what it was honestly
I remember when only ppl who loved old school wrestling would comment on this page. Now weirdos like u are coming on here writing stupid shit.
It's what a lot of people do. They have an opinion and then conflate it with everyone feeling that way. I think most people saw the match for what it is, a comedy match with somewhat mainstream. If you go into it judging for workrate of course it's bad. I watched with some friends mostly who don't want wrestling and they enjoyed it.
Cause they didn't came out from a box.
It's absurd but you know going in that the match is what it is.

This was worth it just to hear Jim go “Whoop! Whoop!”
This match was silly, stupid, and fun. I enjoyed it and laughed and smiled the whole time. This was great.
Jim needs to realize that wrestling isn't "real" anymore. It is a tv show and entertainment. This was the equivalent of a holiday episode of a sitcom or one of the random musical/improv episodes of the drew Carey show.
He knows, he just think it belongs on TV, especially on your biggest show.
Thank you, that was the definition of what Vince been doing for years. This time the entertainment match made sense and actually was funny. I fucking loved this match! I grew up on Jackass, and have always found their hijinks and pranks where they are the butt of the joke to be great comedy. There was room for this match on the card, and it delivered in spades. Zayns character is not the underdog NXT Champion contender right now. It’s conspiracy theorist, Fidel Castro cosplayer. This match reminded me of Attitude Era and Early 2000s Hardcore Matches that WWE used to do. The kind of matches we used to watch Al Snow or Crash Holly in. It was a fun throwback to those matches which were always good for a laugh and to be a nice break during all the other serious stuff.

@@L3ghair yea that’s the problem with Jim, tho I love em, he can be extremely hypocritical and lives too much in the past
"And some guy called "Party Boy" comes out..."
looool
I say this as a 20 year JACKASS fan, but even people I know who don't know or like JACKASS had fun with this *because* they did the smart thing & went so absurd with it. The giant hand, the corner fireworks, the giant mousetrap, it was all so over-the-top cartoonish that a lot more people who expected it to be garbage, actually enjoyed it.
This match was like a Vince Russo fantasy booking acted out in real life. Midgets, random hardcore spots, thong wearing weirdoes, & wrestlers having to take bumps & put over celebrities who have no business in the wrestling business. What a ridiculous match.
hope Jim sees this bro
On Today’s episode of Jim’s bad take!
Hey man it was a comedy spot on the show and The Jackass crew is a lot more iconic than Jim credits them...believe it or not. Just a fun little wrestlemania moment. Jim loves being the grumpy old “get off my lawn” man. Lol and I love Jim.
I’ve been waiting on this episode!
6:39 The best part of my day is whenever he throws Moxley under the bus 🤣😂
I'm still amazed at the wee man body slam, it looked great
he's deceivingly strong!
Hes better in ring than Nikkita Lyons! Sign weeman!!
This match was a highlight of Night 2. Whether Jim likes it or not, Comedy wrestling has and will always be a thing in wrestling and this match was entertainment at its finest.
"People were offended by it"
Literally the only people i've seen "offended" by it are Corny and a few trailer trash types who lack the critical thinking ability to formulate any kind of articulated thought. Crowd on the night were popping hard for it and everyone i've encountered online fucking loved it.
No IC title defense, No US title defense. A former IC champ was body slammed by a little person and was pinned by a giant mouse trap.... I actually turned off the event after this. This was the dumbest thing the WWE has ever done.
The most entertaining match of Wrestlemania.
Then you have no sense of humor. But think you do.
@@goodday2760 I know I do.
Good Day Seems to me like you’re the one without a sense of humor lol.
