Yeah, I bet Thunder Rosa hates being featured in high profile televised matches on a weekly basis.
She’s average in skill, while most AEW women appear under average in skill. Honestly, she would look better standing out in AEW than in WWE.

What is Maki Ono supposed to mean ? A reference to Yoko or smth else ?
She was funny for about 30 seconds.... and then she whacked Shida with that piss poor Mic shot. The God of Love and Piss is so incredibly unimposing and odds are I will be skipping her matches. I also found out that in Japan, her schtick isn't as popular as people in the West make her out to be; the simps and stans are the ones who overhype her.
Same with the Young Bucks...They weren't as popular in Japan as Dave Meltzer and their fans would have you believe.
I don't get even comparing her to Cargill like some are doing. Jim was wrong about how bad Cargill (and Red Velvet) would be. Regardless they are at least serious and someone that isn't a critic might think they are good....It's almost like the goofy caricature Asuka has been playing without 1/100th the wrestling ability. Just stick her with Orange Cassidy or keep her on BTE.

Thunder Rosa's a real professional. I wouldn't be able to lose five days of sleep and still be civil for fools. "Time and place!", I'd tell all that that. My friend who doesn't even like wrestling says "she's a trooper". How good would she be if she had come up around when kayfabe and legitimacy were higher priority? When learning a grappling art and working keeping up a gimmick came before stunts and jokes? When making jokes of very dangerous stunts was more widely frowned on?

It balances out since I can't watch Ups and Downs for Dynamite anymore on WhatCulture. This segment got an "up" from them because it was "funny". If that exact segment happened on WWE it would be shit on mercilessly. So yes, it's nice to see Jim call out the BS that no one else seems willing to.

I have to agree with Bryan, that was an incredible segment. I was dying laughing. To be fair though, Maki Itoh had headphones, so she may not have realized they cut the track.

it was entertaining, which is something that is missing in the AEW division. Her, Thunder Rosa, Britt Baker, and Jade Cargill are the only entertaining women wrestlers in AEW. They just need to built Thunder and Britt better, as in bringing back the Britt Baker promos with Tony, and Rosa needs to squash these girls

When AEW first opened and I was looking at the roster and saw Awesome Kong was there I thought, "Oh they got her to help work the women's division," because you know she has all that experience. But when she up and left after getting hurt and it came out that Omega was booking the women and they pushed who they did it should have been a sign of the direction of this company.

Turns out his instincts were on the ball. Since this segment they've both improved massively, with Jade being the best booked champion on the show and Itoh tearing it up in Japan.

Guarantee if she did that in WWE, it would be extremely cringe.
