How to use some 2 1/2" inch Fabric strips to make a fun quilt - Quilting Tips & Techniques

  • Do you have some leftover fabrics? Often we have small amounts of fabric leftover from larger projects, often 2 1/2" strips, but in this case, any size leftovers work. Cut into a single repeating shape, they can be made into delicious colourful quilt. How delicious! - so many possibilities....... Have fun!

    Love this idea. If you did a folded corner in a bright color when you join then it would look like a flower. Thanks for showing all the layouts.

    Great ideas! I love that you’ve prepared examples of them. Who would have thought that that simple shape could be so versatile? I particularity like them on the half square triangles. Thank you for your videos, I always come away with something I want to try!

    Did you use straight stitch appliqué? I couldn't tell from the video. Perhaps once it's quilted, it doesn't matter how the shapes are finished.

    Would you recommend sewing the fusible fabric or just leaving it like that?

    Once you put the shape on the square with the fusible, do you stitch around it to applique it? I'm a newbie 😌

    Nice idea, much appreciated but the video was hard to watch as it was quite often blurry or out of focus. Also panning closer and farther away was a bit queasy. Thanks
