  • This video shows some fabric quilt labels being made with the help of a Cricut Maker 3 - so much fun. The labels are washable and ironable and could be used to label a quilt, or clothing, bags etc or even as some printed design or text to include in a quilt.

CZcams just suggested your channel, and I thought it said 'Gourmet Quitter'. I felt like I found home! LOL (It's 5am). But anyways I was looking for ideas to make labels for crochet items with cork etc. Never thought of making a quilt label with the maker. Great idea.

I’ve often wondered whether getting a Cricut would be an extravagance or a necessity and this video is swaying my thoughts more towards necessity. I do think it is fitting to call it a ‘toy’ as that’s how I think of my sewing machines because they bring me joy when I use/play with them. I would love to see how this particular Cricut model cuts fabric for quilt blocks and hope that you may find some time to film yourself doing this for us to see. Wishing you, your family, friends and all your viewers a happy and safe holiday season. Cheers from Victoria, Australia 😀👋🇦🇺

Hi, thanks for your suggestion. Yes, I am hoping to do some fabric cutting with the Cricut. I am definitely enjoying the machine so far.

Happy to know you're doing work with cricut. I like infusible ink for labels.

Weeding is much easier if you use the sticky mat! Also, slightly move the iron when ironing because a regular iron has tiny holes on the plate that a heat press does not.

This is very interesting. I don't have a Cricut but I do have a Scan n Cut so this idea obviously can be used on any of the cutting systems. Yes, lots of possibilities! Merry Christmas!

How well will the vinyl hold up to washing?

Useful video. Please remember that the Cricut cuts not prints! A lot of people think it is a printer rather than a cutter!

That is true, but you can use pens in one of the cutter slots, and it will write. I write letters using mine.
