    The reason they want you to use the laser paper is because it does not absorb the inks and bleed through...plus, when you lift that paper up there should be little to no ink left on the paper.

    Hi! Lovely hair and I adore the accent =) I have a few questions,
    1. Using the design you just drew, about how much more use will you get from your pink pen do you think?
    2. If I want to transfer names of my grandsons onto t shirts, will I reverse the design for printing? Probably a no brainer there but I have yet to use this method.
    3. regular copy paper really? Cool!

    I know this old but was wondering if you can use 100% polyester ribbon to use with fusible ink? Do you think you can do a video doing it? If this would work on 100% polyester ribbon that would be so great to make custom ribbon. Wanted to do green with black infusible ink

    • @ChloePants1
      @ChloePants1 Před 3 lety +1

      Marie, I tested on 100% polyester blanket binding with both the infusible ink sheets and the fine tip markers, and they both worked great. The infusible ink sheet made a more solid black on the white binding, but they both still worked fine. I would test a small scrap to make sure your ribbon can withstand that duration of high heat from the heat press. I tested several different lengths of time, and found the image came out better with a longer time than recommended; but the blanket binding did not melt for me. Polyester ribbon may or may not be as heat tolerant.

    • @HedgehogHollow
      @HedgehogHollow  Před 4 lety

      The pens should last you a while, i've had a set of pens (non-cricut) for over a year and they are still going; cost can vary but once you have the pens (14.99) you can use so many substrates and thats your only consumable cost

    It's interesting and completely nonintuitive that you would perform the press with the coaster facing DOWNWARD onto the pattern...having the ink sublimate against gravity...

    • @vaanfluff
      @vaanfluff Před 3 lety +1

      The heaviest parts are the coaster and the press, so it appears maximum, natural weight, is being applied here. As for the heat, it's conducted through the coaster long enough for the sublimation process to be completed.

    • @jrhodes3216
      @jrhodes3216 Před 3 lety

      Hi... The infusable ink products need to be used with special "sublimation" blanks... I know she just says "ceramic" but she is using the Cricut ceramic coasters which are designed for infusable ink. The item has to have a special polyester coating for the ink to fuse with... so a cotton fabric won't work either... needs to be polyester. It really is amazing when you get it to work. Have done the coaters and shirts and the way it becomes one with the surface is amazing! Hope that helps. 😊

      You can use a dry iron or heat press too, you can also try the easy press 1 but they say for best results to use the 2

    Is there a way to take off the subtitles. You speak english and are easy to understand the subtitles are in english and get in the way. I'd rather watch you without subtitles.
