  • This video shows an idea for a Triangle unit using some 2 1/2" strips. This is a great way to use up some leftover 2 1/2" strips or colour co-ordinate favourite colours. The unit measures 2 1/2" x 10 1/2". By making 5 and joining them together a block can be made that will finish at a 10" block when stitched into something. This is also great for borders and columns in a variety of colours.

Another great idea for using up left overs. I can see yet another charity quilt in the making.

I just love traditional quilting and paper piecing projects. I mostly quilt for a variety of charities these days. So look for traditional piecing methods mostly. this looks fun

I love the contrasting black and white with bright pops of colour in the triangle. Lots of ideas bubbling in my head! Thanks for the inspiration.

Another wonderful tutorial. I like the idea of keeping the little hst that are cut off when creating the strip as I remember you using them in one of your Tasty Treats projects last year. Economical and effective use of fabric. Love it.

Hi Susan, First off, thanks so much for your “delicious“ videos. I’ve learned a lot and joined two series classes. My question is, could you please make a tutorial about how to use those hst triangles. I have zillions in all sizes. Also, do you use them immediately or put them in boxes and bags like me. Help!

I love this block, great to use leftover scraps for the center triangle. I always make a smaller secondary triangle too, waste not, want not!

I save all the bonus HSTs from trimming. But now, what to use them for? How about a tutorial for ideas? I square mine to 1.5 inches. I enjoy all your tutorials but especially the ones using scraps! Thanks. Your channel is wonderful.
