  • This video shows how to make a delightful Heart Block using some 2 1/2" strips. Only small amounts of fabric are needed so you may already have fabrics in your stash. The hearts can be made using 1 or 2 fabrics plus a background. the blocks measure 4 1/2" square so will finish at a 4" block when stitched into something.

DO NOT press with your wool mat on top of your cutting mat!! Even with quick pressing like you do on these blocks, over time, your cutting mat will warp. I know, because I did this.

Hi, yes, you are right, you shouldn't put the wool mat on top of a cutting mat. I have checked repeatedly and the very short time I am using the wool mat and then moving it means it isn't heating up underneath. If I left it there it would heat up. It is a matter of space whilst making the videos! Thanks for the great comment.
