- This video shows how to use up some leftover fabrics, 2 1/2" and 5" squares, to make a Floating 4-patch block that measures 7" and finishes at 6 1/2" square. This makes a delicious scrappy quilt!

Gourmet Quilter, you have such a nice accent. And, u r a great teacher. Thank U.
This patch work is perfect for areas of the world that only have access to small pieces of fabric...some times they buy them in bulk from dress makers, and buy them cheaper than per the yard. I come from Central America, where fabric is very expensive, if purchased by the yard.
Thank you for all your work, I think I am going to make a purse, 2 patches, one for the front and another for the back, because I am not a quilter, only a "sampler sewer" I just love this 4 patch block.

This is a keeper, for sure, I love how your friend did the borders. I want to do that, too. Thank you,
Love your videos, thank you so much! You got me believing that I could do it because your directions are so clear, that even at 71 I could still be creative ;)
Really love this, thank you 😊
I LOVE all your tutorials, including this one! I have been making four patches as my leader and ender project for the past couple of years, just using leftover 2.5 inch squares and strips, so I have a container of them ready to go! Now to decide on the 5 inch squares from my stash. Thank you so much for your tutorials!
I love this pattern! Thanks to you I made a beautiful quilt for my granddaughter using this pattern!
Thank you! I'm inspired to go through my stash and cut leftovers into manageable pieces. Going to work on 2/12" and 5" squares to build up enough for a quilt like this. Amazing how much stash leftovers get to be overwhelming if you don't control them! Love your easy to follow tutorials!
Hi, I really appreciate the demonstration for cutting down the quilt blocks using the quilting ruler. I am visually impaired now and was worried about these kinds of details but seems like I will be able to figure this out. :). You make it look so fun and fulfilling, I wish I had a family member to watch doing this growing up. :)
Great tutorial! I loved your friend's quilt that you showed in the end. Simple and yet so many possibilities to make this block in to a lovely quilt.
Just found you, this is AWESOME!
Thank yu for sharing this one I have so many 2 1/2 & 5 squares now I know how to use them. Thanks
Love this block for scraps. EZ instructions. Thank you.
Love your clear instructions. Have used your idea for cutting leftovers, now can make up lots of donation quilts. Thank you
Good idea! So many of us quilters have these square sizes already from charm packs or mini charms, as well as left-overs- this is an easy and adaptable way to use them! Yum!
Love the quilt and so easy to do, thank you for another great tutorial.
Beautiful quilt blocks
Thanks for that tutorial. What a fantastic and beautiful way to use up those scraps, that normally seems so wasteful to discard. Very inspirational and as a retiree, can't afford to constantly buy new fabric. Stash here I come!!!.
Thank you for showing a scrap buster of 2 1/2 " and 5" squares. I love the border your friend, Jsnet used with 2 1/2 "squares to use up some more scraps. It really framed the quilt nicely. Enjoy your videos very much and your detail of teaching.
Haven't seen your videos in a while. Glad to see Bernini is now supporting your talent. Love your accent and your teaching which is quite clear and easy to follow. Hugs from the US.
I really love how simple you made this block to make. Some people make the same block needlessly complicated. Can't wait to make some floating four patches! This is a good use for candies....
I just love the way you teach and i will make this for our church festival thank you so MUCH your the greatest
Thank you for the floating four patch block. Your tutorials ate wonderfully taught. Great job.....I am going to make this for a baby quilt. Gloria Schleh from Missouri,.
Great tutorial very easy to understand & follow. Such a beautiful quilt & as you say no end to the possibilities. Thank you so much as I am new to patchwork and quilting & looking forward to getting started.
Perfect, perfect, perfect! I have a bunch of four patches ready to go, scraps, scraps, scraps! Thank you,
this is fantastic some of my favorites all in one, scrappy patchwork and triangles!
Thanks so much for sharing this. A really nice block that I will have to try. I am a very new beginning quilter...just having done very small projects. I always enjoy your videos.
Appreciate your tutorials. Thank you from Ontario, Cda
Love the Tutorial - you always have good ones. I just made one to finish out at 6" but, I used 5" squares I made myself from strips of fabric. Turned out great! Wish I could post a picture of it here.
Lovely video, so well explained as you always do. Thanks for your patience with us.
Great tip about lining up the triangle. Beautiful quilt behind you too.
Thank you SO much for this tutorial. You explained how to make the block so easily with so many good tips. I especially appreciated your explanation of how to measure and trim the block. I really appreciate your tutorials.
Love it! Better method than I saw in the past. Thank you!
Thank you for a straight forward approach to making these squares. Your have such wonderful tips and tricks for making any blocks and I have picked up several new (easy) ways to sew my blocks by watching your videos. Please keep up the good work.
Lively. Thanks so much. I'll use this for one of my charity quilts.
Again, a lovely quilt behind you. I like any easy ideas that help me use up leftovers. Food leftovers are easier for me. I love “playing with scraps”.
Hello from Texas, USA. You are fantastic and my always go to quilter. Thank you a million.
I love how you explain your tutorials. Thanks a lot.
New to quilting and your channel, but truly inspired by your techniques and how you explain the process...super simply!! Thanks so much!!
I am starting on this block today, love the way you explain it, than you.
I have been quilting for years now. I am self taught. I am missing some vital foundation information. Thank you for going over some of the basics. It was very helpful.
I subscribed immediately.
Thank you. Janet`s quilt is stunning
Really nice idea. I will try this with my leftovers. Thank you !
I just finished a string quilt and it seems I have more scraps than before. This falls in with me using up my scraps. I have another box I haven't gotten to yet so I have plenty. Thank you for your inspiration. Your tutorials are great!
Thank you so much for the inspiration! I love your quilts.
Thank you! I have died to cut both squares & will be using this block to make my leaders & Enders secondary quilt blocks! Perfection! I didn't know how large to cut a triangle to make this type of block... nice ideas!
I love watching your tutorials. You are probably the best quilting instructor I've come upon. Everything is taught in such a relaxed fashion. I actually stumbled upon your tutorials here on youtube and was previously focused on a few US venues that seem to be more focused on selling something extra rather than teaching. I like when you're instructing that you will use a tool, but offer advice if the person doesn't have that particular tool.
I love this pattern ,not too complicated for a beginner like me ,thank you so much
Terrific video ! Great teacher !
I really love this, most of the square in a square blocks have such odd math involved, and I love how easy this is with all my leftovers! You are always so clever and your instructions are so clear, thanks again, for another wonderful tutorial!
I agree with Carol. :)
Thank you for sharing ❤️

I have learned so much from you, thank you for your awesome videos!
Beautiful and quick. Love your technique. Thank you
Great scrap-buster. Thank you!
I absolutely love this pattern. It has such a serendipitous feel to it while still being geometric. Thanks for the great explanation and examples. I love your videos.
Thank you for this tutorial!
I spent the weekend cutting squares...1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 inches to sew these in between my other projects. Smart!
Wow! Love it. You make it look so easy. I am going to try this. Thanks for sharing.
Just what I am looking for, perfect!
I always seem to have more scraps than I know what to do with and I do love working with scraps. I am always a little intimidated by putting blocks on point, but I think this is an excellent way for me to get over my fear. Also I have watched your tutorials for probably a year or two and I have seen your little pattern books at my favorite quilt shop near where I live. That is if 25 miles is near. For Texas that is pretty close. LOL
Thank you, what a great idea! And so easy
I LOVE IT!!! Thank you for make it so easy :)
Thank you. Great ideas for scraps.
