Jami, your choices are always superb! I think Dan Fogelberg is and has always been one of the most under appreciated artists ever. Great reaction and commentary. Thanks Harri and Jami 🌺✌️
At a live concert before he performed this song, he made fun of his songwriting saying he is the only songwriter on record he thought who put the word exhumed in a love song!
I gave his greatest hits to a girl I was seeing who never heard of him. Whenever I'd go to her house, that CD played continuous all night. Haven't see her in a few years, but whenever I hear this, memories. Yeah. Peace
Dan was an amazing lyricist, vocalist, and musician, often playing nearly all the instruments on his songs and singing all the vocals. If you haven't listened to "Seeing You Again" give it a go - I consider it his best work in a large field of good work - strong lyrics, strong vocal delivery, and great music.
Dan was a super talented guy. One of the best lyricist of his generation, something sadly lacking today. RIP. Not one of his top songs in my view, but then that means it's only great.
Thank you for listening to Dan Fogelberg. You are one of a very few who give him a spin. To many great tunes to suggest just go down the rabbit hole and pick a tune. You won't regret it.
One of my favorite artists. Dan Fogelberg was such a great folk rock singer songwriter & storyteller. He also played multiple instruments such as guitar, bass, piano & mandolin. I had his double album "The Innocent Age" from 1981. It had so many good songs on it including "Nexus", "The Reach", "Hard To Say", "Leader Of The Band", "Run For The Roses" etc. We lost him much too soon (1951-2007).
Harri, please check out Dan's first recording. TO THE MORNING. He wrote it at around the age of 18. Just him, and a piano. It's just beautiful. Thank you for sharing this beautiful music, that holds so many memories for us. Peace brother.
@Phoenix85006 I first heard the Netherlands album in '78... it's the album that turned me into a Fogelberg fan! czcams.com/video/lYaELaaD64M/video.htmlsi=HamGtTNYdYRmv6zj
Holy Road is a must listen especially hearing your reaction to this song!!!! SO MANY amazing songs. Changing Horses Magic Every Moment River of Souls This list seems endless...not a bad song ever. So grateful to have seen him live at Wolftrap in DC several years before we lost him. RIP Dan
He was a fan. He talked about it in concert many times. I think of Tom Robbins as eccentric rather than strange - but strange works. I had the privilege of spending time with Dan a few times with mutual friends. Such a nice man. Very shy, and a bit introverted off-stage.
@@SpiderMcGee He really seemed to want a normal life away from the bright lights. It seemed to ground him to be in nature in Maine and/or Colorado. It seemed to inspire his music, as you can hear in songs like The Reach, and Netherlands.. Beautiful.

Oh thank you Harri !!! I just love Dan Fogelberg. He had such a deep, beautiful soul. So multi talented. ❤️
His song Missing You is my favorite

People often recommend radio hits, but when it comes to Dan, the gold is on the “b-side”.
*DAN* Fogelberg. So talented, and what a poet! Beautiful song.
I love Dan's music , so many great hits, I am still saddened that we lost him so early, he gave us so much enjoyment through his talents.
Dan was an amazing singer/songwriter! I loved Leader of the Band!
Poet, composer, multi-instrumentalist. Dan Fogelberg could do it all. Though I never met him, he's partially responsible for my becoming a poet.
And he layered most of his own harmonies. :)
So many great songs from Dan. Missing You, Changing Horses, Illinois, As the Raven Flies, Same Old Lang Syne…

Beautiful song💖Talented MF♥️ Thank you Jamie & Harri♥️🤩
Dan Fogelberg was a poet first and a musician second, and he was great at both. Lonely In Love, and Same old Lang Syne, are both great songs of his
Incredible lyrics and song
Love Fogelberg. We had his "Longer" played at our wedding.

I like your comments about this song HarriBest. Yes, Dan's poetic lines are very good when set to beautiful music.

My favorite Fogelberg lyrics. My second favorite song of his after Netherlands. Was hoping a reactor would find this treasure. Thank you.
Dan left us far too soon. His music was part of the soundtrack of my life growing up.
Thank you Jamie and Harri, I had not thought of this beautiful song in years.
👍❤️🥰
We was smooth.....🙏🙏👍🙌
Beautiful!!!
Gypsy Wind is on the same vane musically. So melodic.
RIP...
I didnt realize he died of prostate cancer, damn....guys get examined, my dad had it but got through it with radiation
He had a very aggressive form. Beat it back once, but it returned. 😢
Loved his voice , melodie and lyrics too!
Dans 4th album "Netherlands" is one of his best. Not a bad song on the record. The song "Dancing Shoes" would be a good starting song.
If you haven't yet, please check out Dan's "Netherlands" it's amazing

River of Souls

RIP Dan
another great 80's hit
This song contains elements from the very strange Tom Robbins novel Still Life With Woodpecker. Dan must have been a fan.
