In America, it's just a standard response to a greeting. No one expects anyone to say anything other than "great" or "fine" unless they are hurt or someone died or whatever. This drives Europeans nuts.
Or then they say "I inherited 50 million dollars!"
Truth is no one wants to hear the truth and everyone knows it. Therefore, the standard "fine" response. Lol it is the "polite" response to a question no one wants answered. I like Dave's response "Better than I deserve" hahaha.

Putting well-earned money into the stock market can be over emphasized for first-time investors, unlike a bank where interest is sure thing! I donât think Kathy is stupid, I think sheâs very insecure and in denial to some degree. I think she knows in her heart of hearts what heâs doing. So sad.
She knows, she just wants to believe him, because she is a good person (thinks what she would do and assumes others are the same) and does not want to face divorce. My mom also believes to this day her first husband went to a class reunion for a whole weekend, where only the old flame ended up showing up. They got a divorce due to other reasons.
Agreed. She is in denial. She is is having some doubts because she can't believe that someone she trusts would betray her like that but she knows logically that what he is telling her is not making sense. I don't think she is stupid either. I think she is totally in denial. She knows her world is going to be turned upside down, and she is just hoping and praying that her husband is actually having sleepovers but she knows. I feel for her. In reference to story #3, I recognize myself in this woman's situation. She mentions that she put her husband through school, that she manages the budget and it sounds like she's been the responsible one throughout this relationship. It has been a major investment.
You can hear that she's all sorts of turned around trying to make sense of her situation. The reason it doesn't make sense, isn't because it doesn't actually make sense. It's because you're trying to reconcile that fact that this other person is not concerned about you like you are them. I'll say that again for anyone in a similar situation that needs to hear it.
They DON'T care about you.
You are a comfort and a convenience, not a person they love.

Credit cards are the devil's tool. Unfortunately, people do want more than they can afford. I find student loans so unfortunate that kids today have to go into debt just to get an education. Thank you for all you do for people. I hope you keep up the good work. I don't know how you handle all the terrible decisions people make. God bless you!!!!
This is the first time I have seen your show Dave, but I love it!!! You are 100% spot on with all of your answers
Its kinda easy to tell others what to do... its harder when you afection and emotions on the line but yeah he knows what to say for the better of thoose who call
When I was 18 I got a credit card because I needed the money at the time.
Within a month, I maxed it out at 700 dollars and the statement got sent to my dads house since I hadnât changed the address. He called me up and chewed me out so much, telling me to immediately go get some scissors and chop the card up and send him a picture of it. He told me NEVER get another credit card or get into debt or he would cut me off.
7 years later. Best advice/scolding he gave me.
Ernesto R maxing it out 700 in a week he def was not ready to have a credit card yet
@Michael Macaluso
Great thing he had you do!
You did get a credit card though, right? You kinda need good credit...
Nothing wrong with a credit card as long as you use it wisely and pay it off in full at the end of the month.
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł The responses were _very_ predictable indeed!
There's always a bunch of people who assure you that credit cards are awesome "if used properly", that they pay it all off at the end of the month, that it's great for credit points, bla bla bla.... đ
Dave Ramsey and Chris Hogan have both mentioned that 98% of CC users rack up some kind of debt.
But apparently the entire 2% that is disciplined just happens to be in these comments sections!đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Mr ClassicMetal The people watching Dave Ramsey are, at the very least, wanting to take an active role in their finances. Thatâs going to skew the population you see here. Credit cards are a responsibility. If youâre disciplined, you can handle it. Its not a novel idea.
24:40 I want these types of money problems!! âI inherited 50 million dollarsâ đ©đđŸđ€ŠđŸââïž
you and me both
You'd be surprised how quickly people who can't handle $50M will lose it all and go in huge debt. It's the same skills whether someone makes $50k or $50M.
would rather have the person than the money
Don't we all
Well let's analyze the situation. Imaging what losing 50 million would do to ur self esteem
What a blessing that 14 year old could learn such a valuable lesson at his age. I pray he learns from it because WOW his potential is huge.
It's your choice if you want to keep hurting stay I've been there no Man is worth being miserable for â€
"My husband is having _sleepovers_ with his ex-girlfriend"
Darlin', bless your heart
Get dolled up. get out, get laid, get him back.
@@jimmyjetski3409 NOOOOOOOOO
That is absolutely not the right answer at all thatâs absolutely 100% worse
@@jimmyjetski3409 thatâs the worst advice possible in this situation
I've been listening and following Dave for 6 years and I just realized his logo is a D and a R in one. đ€Żđ€ŠđŸââïž
Courtney I had to go look. Dang youâre right. Crazy.
Aww wow
OMG! Haha I never noticed
I had no idea lol
Courtney Thank you because Iâve never noticed either!! Lol.
The Dave Ramsey show is truly a God sent.I love to listen to this show.đ
Love seeing Ramsey with his mouth on the floorâŠlolâŠcall #2, Dave hands in praying form⊠call # 3⊠holding his headâŠGod Bless you DaveâŠ
I listened to him on the radio forever but seeing his expressions is way more entertaining.
Why is the dad worried about his daughters debt when he has six grandkids in Foster care
đđđ stupid people think stupid things .
đŻđŻđŻđŻ
I'm guessing he coddled that girl all her life, and all 6 gone, she doesn't care about anyone but her self.
Very Sad.
To be fair, Dave Ramsey is a FINANCIAL expert. He probably focused on the finances because that's what you talk to a financial expert about. The whole situation is wild.
Elaine McMurren Could also be mental disorders (bipolar/manic depression) or drug addiction.
Im 14 and in debt
Ramsey: sell your car
đ€Ł
Selling the car is always the answer! I just sold mine & will be debt free come Christmas 2021!!đ
These comments have me rollin
âJust sell you house and live off rice and beansâ
I mean what he gonna do with it
What I see out those calls that Dave really cares. â€
The 14-year-old caller was just a troll
âYou donât need a vintage car when youâre 14 anyway. Not a lot you can do with it. Itâs probably older than you.â đđđ
That vintage car better not be a 92 tercel with a bad gasket.
It better be something with fins or a v8.
He also isn't old enough to drive it. Works on cars but can't drive them. Lol.
Well it's a BS call lol
@@dgman0313 đđđđ
It'd be cool if we got follow-up calls from these people to see what they did with Dave's advice.
Jared S they probably all ignored his advice and did the opposite of his suggestion. Unfortunately. People who get themselves into bad situations will usually do it again.
That's the Millionaire Theme Hour :D That's why this show is amazing.
Thatâs actually a great idea
Either the Millionaire hour or, at the very least, hopefully the Debt-Free Scream hour
I would love this too
That poor woman is completely delusional about her situationâŠ.. Sheâs probably denying the obvious to protect her heart. I hope her husbands mistress dumped him after she divorced him
This Man is so wise đ thanks for all your advises!
you know you are a Dave fan when you remember all of these calls.
LuisEspinozaMusic FACT
LuisEspinozaMusic Totally! I remembered each and everyone of them, still had fun listening to them again.
Hahaha yes!!

Exactly my thought on that situation.
Lol. Sounds like she's letting her problems compound... I know all about that unfortunately
condoms are free at planned parenthood.
*musical tone* abortion is the solution!
Also condoms but whatever
Dave, you are a voice crying in the wilderness! âïžđâ€ïž
1:36 âDude, do you know how weird this sounds?â That killed me
Dave Ramsey is so brutally honest đđ
love it
He wanted to call that lady stupid so bad I could feel it! đđđđhis face when she said they had sleepovers
He almost did at 9:06 of this clip and then later on when he told her that her husband (at the time) thinks she's stupid, Dave had to be thinking "and so do I".
I'm not clear that calling people who's hearts and lives have been broken "stupid" is a productive thing to do. It certainly is lacking in compassion. Not to mention, she's in denial. How do people get in denial? Thought processes such as "I've always been a fairly intelligent person, so therefore I am not being cheated on". So go on and call her stupid, you're just setting yourself and anybody reading you up to be the next person to figure "I'm smart, so I must be incapable of being fooled in love".
LOL
I made it into a gif because it was too good to pass up lol.
18 years, have some empathy
24 years old with 6 kids? What a hot mess. It's genuinely sad.
And then theres me at 30 thinking I will never be able to afford 1 kid đđđ
Maybe she had
