    This game is a game that brings back real challenge in an rpg. Something the gaming industry needs. Who remembers super challenging games back in the day that never got updates or nerfs? You had to train and actually try in the game. We need more games that challenge us and push our limits. It's how we get better.

      Step 1:head back to skalitz once you have a horse. There should be two groups fighting,
      Step 2: hide until one team wins, and then wait for them to leave
      Step 3:loot all the armour, don’t loot the weapons unless you want to use anything but a sword.
      Step 4: head to the armourer, put all your armour in the sell basket, then choose to haggle, and just as the inventory closes open yours and drop everything you chose to sell. He will then pay the money without taking the armour and you can have it as a good set of early game armour,
      Step 5: train with the mace until strength ten with captain Bernard. Then buy herods
      sword and learn the riposte
      Step 6: play normally and the combat skills that are important late game will level, like strength 12 is needed for the best weapon in the game.

  • @Xaxxus
    @Xaxxus Před 6 lety +55

    Final offer is actually amazing.
    The price a vendor adjusts to after a haggle attempt is based on how far down you try to haggle him.
    With final offer you can haggle down to the lowest possible price and he will drop his offer to about half way down.

    • @CSM100MK2
      @CSM100MK2 Před rokem +2

      that actually makes sense. because the offer they eventually accept is usually always about exactly HALF the difference of your initial haggle, but if you haggle to far right away they quit - this lets you maximize the first haggle every time, and FORCE a full 25% increase in profit/ savings pretty much. never thought of it that way.

  • @tommerker8063
    @tommerker8063 Před 6 lety +53

    i know this is mostly personal preference but i have some objective adjustements to this.
    first of all don't try to save perks all the time. most of the time you will be able to get all of them anyway, except for the ones that cancel each other like burgher or savage. only save perkpoints when you realy don'T want any of the perks avaiable right now
    1. clinch breaker and gravedigger are pretty useful. (gravedigger of course only on a stealthy character)
    2. boar is in my opinion either bugged or useless since i can just run into enemies and stagger them even without the skill and with the skill i never noticed any diference
    3. you can simply get all teh agility perks, no need to safe the perks there you get enough points for all perks
    4. light armor skill is bugged (atleast very inconsistent)
    5. you should get sprinter (yes you will drain your stamina faster BUT you are also gonna be faster then the enemies and catch them easier when they are running away and if you choose to run away you will get away from them quicker. don't take marathon man or you will never be able to catch anyone)
    6. thickblooded is realy useful. yes you won't start to bleed that easily but if you do you die pretty quick and thickblooded helps with this
    7. take lowborn... seriously in the complete game are maybe 5 or 6 speech checks that benefit from it and like a million peasants to talk to. also guards, traders, peasants, townfolk, priests are all lowborn. not even the richest merchants count as highborn
    the onyl highborn i found was the parish priest godwin and the lord radzig hanush and capron
    8. scout is realy useful IF you want to fast travel, even if it's just a bit becasue you will discover more and see enemies from a greater distance
    9. wanderer is a bit shit, becasue most of the time you are gonna rent a bed and these have high comfort. onyl take this when you plan on never renting a room or sleep in a real bed. also you are gonna rent a room to acces your chest too so whats the point in renitn g a room when you are going to sleep in the dirt anyway? ;)
    10. i personaly don't like the insomniac or ascetic skills, because whenever i get tired i get reminded of saving and once you have that perk you simply won't get tired (but thats just a preference. if you don't like the sleeping and eating mechanics just go for it ^^)
    11. i personaly prefer burgher becasue all the traders and houses worth stealing from are in the city or villages. (i also mainly took it for the +1 speech since agi strength and vitality are not that important in my eyes)
    12. you can get all points in defense and warfare.
    13. i personaly don't like any other weapon then the longsword, so obviously i take all the longsword perks but thats realy up to you just don't gt the shortsword perks when using a longsword (although once you maxed it out you can take every perk except for one anyway)
    sorry for the long comment, keep up the good work ;)

      Wealthy merchants count as highborne.
      I recommend “Savage” because when do you need more strength and agility?: when you get attacked. And that happens mostly in the forest or far away from villages, often by multiple enemies. So I highly recommend that perk.

    Final offer totally worth it, apart from saving time, when you reenter after unsuccessful haggle the price is higher now cause you failed the haggle and so is reputation with the trader and as a consequence the whole reputation in this settlement. Wih final offer you practically guaranteed to "win" the haggle in your favor and even can raise reputation with this trader instead of lowering it and as a consequence have lower prices in the future in the long run.

    Final offer is the most OP perk out there, it doesn't exit the trade at all. You put the lowest/highest offer you can, the guy gets angry and then he lowers/raises his offer to the lowest/highest he'll go too, then you accept. It's totally broken because it makes trading require no time or skill or risk, you just move the bar to the bottom of the screen then make an offer, they'll so no and then you accept whatever the best offer they'll do is.

      They are both balanced distance wise which makes sprinter the only viable option because marathon is meant for long distance but with 20 speed reduction and 20 percent stamina buff it equals out to 0 so they both cover the same distance but marathon is just slower which sucks

      Quickpaw Maud is right, assuming constant velocity, so DistanceTraveled=Velocity * Time. Δx=1.2V*0.8T is the same as Δx=0.8V*1.2T, one just has a lower time value. Although I still don't know how armor weight fits into this equation.

    ESO the Weapon Cruncher skill in the defense skill line is super useful for Longsword(two-handed sword) combat especially if you mix it with clinch master skill in strength line. While it does mean the weapons they have are damaged you can always repair them 100% for free at a grind stone. This is useful for a quicker way to level up maintenance, as the more % you repair the more skill you gain.
    Also to be honest weapons get damaged in combat no matter what so if you really want to maximize profit using a grind stone is an effective way. Though you cant repair maces with them. Not sure about axes I imagine not but I usually don't pick them up since a majority are worth much less and are quite heavy but to address maces I just invested in a couple blacksmith's kits. Once you get your maintenance level pretty high you could even start investing in armorer kits and tailoring kits but I highly suggest only using them on your own gear or very high quality clothing and armor you've looted.
    I personally dont bother with cobbler's kits since most of the shoes and boots you find are pretty worthless anyway. Not to mention I have used one or two small cobbler kits to repair my "Silent Boots" and the only thing the repair affects is the defensive stats which isnt that helpful since #1 no body really attacks your feet and #2 I only use them for stealth so if Im in combat I've done it wrong lol

      @Feyriari Před 6 lety

      I find it kind of a fun mini game challenge, I probably wouldn't like it if it was as easy as Skyrim's grindstone though. The maintenance skill perks are pretty kool as well. For example there's one that adds extra "padding" to any armor you repair yourself which make it less noisy. *wink wink, nudge nudge* With this little trick my full plate armor is ALMOST as quiet as average light armors.

    • @JezaGaia
      @JezaGaia Před 6 lety

      Good advice, I agree with most except for the cobbler part. While you're not wrong it depends on your perks. There is one I took but I forgot where it is that makes me sprint faster if I repaired my shoes myself so I sue the cobbler kit at least 3 times a day to keep the buff.
      But for people who won't take that perk well then of course it's not as useful as you said.

      Yeah I just use plate leggings instead of boots/shoes so even if i had tht perk I would never benefit from it that cushioned armor perk I mentioned is insanely good because now I have no need for light clothing at all my noise level with full heavy armor and my sneak perks is 29 it doesnt change my visibility but even with as low visibility as possible they will still see you pretty easily at close range due to torches and campfires so this way if I do get seen by enemies I dont have to run away as Im already battle ready and if I get seen in a town while trying to rob people they usually just tell you to get the hell out of their house unless you get caught lockpicking or something.

    My big tip for the early game is to find the herb meadow in Skallitz (it's north east of Kunesh's house). Then pick ALL the herbs and you should get enough levels to get the "Flower Power" perk and this makes early game speech checks easier to pass. It takes some patience and takes about 15-20 minutes but is well worth it. Also you get a decent amount of money for selling off your excess herbs.

    ESO Final offer is a really good perk, because if you fail to make a deal your reputation with that merchant decrease, and the only way to increase it is by quests or by giving extra money to him, Meaning you save lots of money and can see clearly the limit he is willing to haggle.

    • @JezaGaia
      @JezaGaia Před 6 lety +1

      Was about to say this. Not saying the perk point isn't more useful elsewhere at least at the beginning but failing a haggle is not so neutral. Also you can just retry the trade just after but the prices are not as good.

    • @draconiandraco
      @draconiandraco Před 6 lety

      You can also artificially inflate your reputation by giving the most absurd price first time around and then giving them a higher than their asking price sale when they inevitably drop to match you. two to three rounds of this with some simple sales and you've maxed their rep near indefinitely.

    About Stronghold perk - if you don't do a perfect block - you do it wrong, and perfect blocks don't drain any stamina. Even of you fight several opponents at once. May be useful for shield users who fight with their shield always risen when surrounded by a horde of enemies, but not much use when you fight 2-3 opponents at once and zero use for 1 on 1 combat
    Also Thickblooded from a Vitality line - extremely useful for some advanced combat. Bleeding out to death is a serious issue, both for player AND for enemies btw (there is one strategy I use when utilizing archery - if your damage is high enough just shoot your opponent from afar with 150 piercing dmg arrow and wait till he bleeds out, try to aim for legs too to slow their pursuit)

  • @christoforospaphitis4090

    In general I agree except for weapon cruncher. I have leveled up my character quite a bit. Weapon cruncher is a must have especially if you are taking on many opponents at once because when outnumbered you are at a significant disadvantage. I wouldn't worry about money since you will loot so much that no trader will have enough money to buy all the things from you for example I have about 25K of groshen on me, probably own the best horse in the game (warhorse Jenna) while in my trunk i have goods that are probably worth over half a million. I stopped looting for the sake of looting and only loot armor that might be close or better than mine and in good condition and also swords to fix them to level up my maintenance skill. Also clinching is a very good tactic to beat shield bearing opponents as fast as possible before other's join in and surround you. Therefore Clinch Master, Weapon Cruncher and Boar are extremely effective together. I sprint to my opponent, i clinch and then finish them off as fast as possible to have one less enemy to think about but also activate my other perks such as sadist and the other one that gives you a boost when you kill an enemy.

    Final Offer is amazing when you cheese it. Demanding the highest price/lowest payment will cause the merchant to drop demands to 50% of your offer - and because of the perk, it's 50% of the entire bar.
    In other words, you consistently get a massive discount which saves/earns you a lot of money.

    Pro Tips:
    - Go to the lodgings in any village/city that has them and pay for a room for a few nights instead of one. It lasts forever, and it's fairly cheap (at least mid-late game).
    - Weapon durability doesn't matter because you can quickly repair them at a grindstone, while also leveling your maintenance skill (Which you can get extra perks on weapons and armor with).

    I actually like the final offer perk. You are in fact not only wasting your time if you fail a haggle attempt. Prices at that vendor become more expensive and they will buy from you for less money the more times you fail those haggling attempts. Final offer is a great way to bypass that and just match their last offer.

    I think sprinter is a pretty easy choice. You use your horse for long distance travel anyway (making marathon just bad), and the extra sprint speed is golden for fast repositioning in combat (archery skirmishing especially) or stright up fleeing if need be. Also great for running down fleeing foes you need to tackle so you aren't led on a merry chase for the next 5 minutes...
    I suppose no perk works too, but imo there are enough worse perks you wont want to get in the main levels so you can definiteøy justify this - and well... speed is just so useful and not easy to get in such a large amount anywhere else

    I'm probably 15 hours into the game and I've always saved my perk points in games like this until I figure out how it all works exactly. The first game I ever did this with was back in 2003 when KOTOR came out. If you saved all of your level-ups and waited until you got your Force powers, you basically became a god about 20% into the game. I just started playing Kingdom Come and I decided to save most of them because I have absolutely no idea what is useful and what isn't. A few things were no-brainers (like the final offer perk, or the first aid ones, or the one that slows your blood loss), but others I'm still waiting on. I figure it's easier to save your perks until you know what you're doing than it is to use a potion or something to reset them down the road.
    After training with Bernard for awhile, I immediately booked it (no pun intended) up to Uthitz (or whatever it's called) to learn how to read. Then I spent the rest of my time killing cows that respawn outside of the town and selling the meat for money. I did that so often that I'm already a great bowman and hunter. I think I'm going to spend most of my time just leveling up skills and saving points and money so that I'm prepared by the time I get into real action.

    Final Offer is actually invaluable. It does not what you explained.
    What it does is that you can ask for the lowest price possible (to either receive or pay) and this will make the NPC angry right away. But, you'll have one last chance to make a deal (without exiting the current negotiation). The NPC/Merchant will automatically counter-offer with the lowest possible amount he or she would agree on. You can make some serious deals and earn extra Groschens along the way!

    Hunting perks...Antlers and tusks are Alchemy ingredients that you will have to purchase if unable to hunt for them. Some few hides are required for quest objectives, but otherwise their only value is selling to a vendor. The same is true of feathers. You need some for quests, but most are vendor trash. There are faint clues in KCD that WH considered crafted arrows but scrapped the idea. You can search for any oddball KCD item online to determine whether it has value to you. For example, Salt is one of several items that had an intended use which was never implemented in the game. There is no point in purchasing such items from a vendor. Instead sell Salt or other useless items you acquire to avoid dead weight and clutter.

I just spent all of ten to twenty minutes picking up sage and dandelions, and I've already gained 5 levels and a perk point in Herbalism. This lets you get Flower Power before you've even left Skalitz, and that bonus to speech from it is pretty useful. In fact, you can get up to level 10 in herbalism, and the perk Leg Day!
