Look up blessing v freestone. Child support is about the government, placing the burden of cost for welfare programs onto a certain type of parent. Don’t expect family lawyers to tell you this. They like the easy money

@@turbokidtb some adjudicators and offices like mediators also get benefits from the attn generals office… meaning they are financially incentivized to make sure the state can collect as much child support as possible from that case

In idaho. What if both parents agreement is primarily not to screw over the other and make a after budget and bills are paid then see how much I can afford to give without starving myself ornot being able to get my own place because the court decided I can give 60% of my checkout then after bills it puts me in the red but who cares cuz the courts decided 60% is fair even though she makes more then me in the first place

Also what if the mom tells the court I don't want him to pay or I don't want him to be screwed over he will pay me what he can. Will listen or will they say sorry nope

@@cascadinggainz6043 even if the mom says she doesn’t want money, if her or the child were ever on welfare the higher income earning parent will have to pay the state… even if custody is 99% to the father and 1% to the mother... higher courts have ruled it is the right of the state, not the child or parent, to collect child support. They will take as much as they are legally allowed every time . The attorney generals office gets a check from the feds for ~$0.66 for every dollar the CSS steals, this in turn is used for extra retirement benefits for the judges over seeing the cases, as well as other incentives
