Thank You we are in NC My daughter just l lost her parental rights the cps flat-out lied under oath she doesn't have drugs, alcohol, abuse they were trying to prove she is mental and it fail. she has had a 1 bedroom apartment for over 2 yrs I will bring this up to her lawyer to fight this.
My wife and I are going threw this and are not financially set enough to pay an attorney. We have had our granddaughter most of her life. Her mom has had her for 2 years until last year she lost her to Family services. My wife and I have had her almost 1 year threw kinship placement. Her mother is doing no better now other then her boyfriend did drug rehab. We want to fight to get custody. We live in Missouri would you possibly let me hire you to coach me threw this case? I will pay all I can I just can't afford a $3k for a retainer to hire a decent Attorney
What about if the father is very active in the child’s life but the mom isn’t and the moms mom (grandma) want to take the over custody of the child but dad wants to take care of his own child?

How can I become my adoptive daughter’ s son’s legal grandparent? Both the mother and father and are alive and well. As well as the dad’s parents. But, we would like to also be considered the a legal grandparents. The child is living in our home. The birth grandmother and father are only involves occasionally. What are the rights of my husband and I since we are not blood related to the grand child?
See if you qualify as a De Facto Custodian, also it is up to the "child's wishes" if they are at a certain age. Look up the laws for your state and at least consult with an attorney.
Constitutional rights rights of the parents are a federal right, but grandparents rights differ in each state somewhat. Some states, the grandparents have no rights at all except in extreme situations.
I like know if right to judge kid that alway mess up about problem new see truth because his grandma has camera see evidence but right way blame my som his name is James is his Grandma right to blame him for anything.
I have 2 grandkids one 16 one 13.they live in basement.they are abused
He mentally and physically abused my daughter they were no longer together and she was 2 weeks away from coming home when she died

You may be able to file for joint custody with the bio father.
Is this statute over all states such as in California?
