This took too long to make, anyways, the title reign was better than I last remembered. Sheamus' matches were always rough and aggressive and if he was in there with somebody like Dolph Ziggler that could sell every little thing, it's awesome. The Del Rio matches give this run a bad rep because other than that, it was solid. What did you think of Sheamus' title reign?
It was better than he wwe championship runs
The Best World Title reign he had in his career.
Do big shows reign
I mean Del Rio matched give any run a bad rep to be quite honest.
It was his best World Championship run by far. It was a very solid run overall, but it could've been better.
Sheamus is one of the most consistent, hard working and reliable talents in WWE history. The man is criminally underappreciated, despite his remarkable work ethic.
You need to look up your history. Wwe use to run shows 6-7 nights a week. Every one of his main event runs flopped. How many hard working superstars who were way more over don’t get the opportunities sheamus got. Like the owen hart. The Godfather Shelton Benjamin Morrison r truth carlito Christian test Kane Scott hall mr. Perfect and more

2012 was such an underrated year in my opinion. When Punk and Sheamus were ruling the company and had some of their most fun matches. While Punk’s reign is more memorable, Sheamus’ reign was just as fun and definitely needs more attention. Some of his matches here were so good, they definitely need more love.👍
2012 is when smackdown got bad until 2016
2012 was the best year of the last decade imo
@@pleaseshutup7053 Orton and Kane feud was great ,but Raw was way better that year.
@@grandcanyon-fu9zt I can’t tell you anything about that feud so idk
You’ll say that about 2023 10 year from now smark
I think his run with Cesaro as the BAR brought back his credibility after being submerged in the midcard
I loved The Bar
It's crazy to think some of these wrestlers were extras that contributed as background characters to different programs before making their own debut! Sheamus has definitely paid his dues
His World Heavyweight Championship reign could have been really memorable but the fact that he faced Alberto Del Rio for 3 PPV's in a row really killed his reign. I mean let's be honest, we all knew Sheamus was not tapping to the Cross Armbar.
I don’t know anyone who wanted sheamus as champion in 2012
@@pleaseshutup7053 Yeah he was pretty boring and cringe as Irish Cena lol. Love the guy but I didn’t like that run

He was such a good champion with this title, working each week and presenting himself strong. Only the way he won it could have been better.
Sheamus is very underrated. He’s made everything he’s been given work. He’s one of the most consistently booked superstars today in his near 15 year career in WWE. Today he performs banger after banger after banger. In 2012 he performed banger after banger.
I feel like Sheamus right now is entering that 2020 Lashley phase that got Bobby the chance to become a champion in the late stage of his career. It’s kinda tricky because the main event scene is packed even without Roman holding the titles hostage but that kind of connection with the fans is hard to ignore
Lashley's run showed anything's possible.
They should've never unified the titles in 2013
Seamus is one who's growth with experience and time has been awesome to witness.
Thank you for your work. I knew this took awhile lol. Sheamus was at his peak in 2009-2010 and he was just starting off which is insane. One of the greatest of the modern era
Have to disagree cuz Sheamus is in his peak now since 2 years ago, nothing but straight bangers with the likes of Jeff Hardy, Big E, Drew McIntyre, Gunther.. etc
@@incognitoking9704 The man can have a good match with anyone. An underrated GOAT.
He hit his peak around late 2011 maybe 2012
@@macho.813 he definitely did. Sheamus is truly one of the best of his time
@@LORDHASBECOMEABOVE Definitely, he was right up there at the top with Randy orton, John cena, & Cm punk during that time
you could tell how happy big show was after he pinned Sheamus
Sheamus just had a bad rep due to booking, which was something he couldn’t control (the 18 seconds match with Bryan, the never ending feud with Del Rio) but he had some amazing matches (the 2/3 falls with Bryan, the four-way, Ziggler and the Big Show matches). It also didn’t help at the time that the WHC was looked at by the company as the “second-tier” belt by that point (opening two WrestleMania’s back-to-back, you could count on both hands between 2009-2010 the WHC closed a PPV)
As a Chelsea fan, the mention of us winning the UCL was very sweet
Sheamus title run in 2012 underrated
The Irish Cena. Genuinely one of the most overlooked, underrated performers of all time.
Cena was never overlooked or underrated.
Mannn, i always thought Sheamus was so underrated. he’s great one of the bests in WWE rn tbh.
Did you watch the video? Sheamus was the hardest pushed wrestler at the time and no one cared ever. How is that underrated.
@@pleaseshutup7053 he was still a great champion, Styles was the same, but didn't get much attention either.
@@grandcanyon-fu9zt he did he was push to hard had no charisma in ring was pretty bad unless he wrestling good opponents likes morrison or byran promo none but now sheamus should win the ic championship soon I am likening sheamud now overall decent title run in 2012

If the 24/7 Championship existed in 2012 I feel like David Otunga and Ricardo Rodriguez would’ve had runs with it
A title reign that began on an unfortunate note where his squash of Daniel Bryan that funny enough ended up helping push Bryan to being the bigger star.
Reign itself overall was fine, but the repetitive feud with Del Rio kinda soured a lot of it with the constant rematches. Least it ended on a good note with that sleeper hit vs. Big Show.
I remember this shit back in 2012 , it felt like the jack swagger run , both ECW guys came out of nowhere n took the heavy weight belt

@@wingedhussar1453likes* he is the most boring character of all time. although, to level, i feel bad for him. imagine just being some guy’s gym buddy and then suddenly he has a wrestling thing for you, then you are the multi time world champion. i guess that was kind of out of the blue for him.
@LongIslandBroskiZackRyder well Sheamus I think was groomed and pushed before even that. In ecw he was a monster heel then in wwe beat cena .boring run then the worst insulting run was him pushed as babyface destroying Daniel Bryan. Wwe was a mess back then
@@wingedhussar1453yeah that DB loss was so random and cringe. i feel like WWE has these experiments every few years (like every 3) where they get new talent, overpush them down everyone’s throats and give them titles, see if the crowd likes them or not and depending on that, if they are liked then they will get pushed more and be like Super Cena and be undefeatable until they for some reason become mid carders, or if they aren’t liked then WWE just says so be it and randomly pushes them more.
@@captaincharismachristian even after that push Sheamus was world champion again...
This was when I first got into WWE so this reign to me is an example of what a champion should be
A fighter who takes on all comers
Sheamus and his feuds with Bryan, Del Rio and Big Show really delivered
Sheamus 2012 is honestly IMO just as awesome as 2020-2022 Drew McIntyre
Wow you missed all the good stuff
@@pleaseshutup7053 Sheamus was still a fighting champion and didn't need cheating to win (aside from summersalm)
Sheamus and Mean Gene vs Del Rio and Bryan is a guilty pleasure match for me
Fella had a classic with Bryan at Extreme Rules and some good matches with Big Show. But that whole feud with Del Rio really killed it for me. It's a shame, because Sheamus was and still is an absolute work horse. Hopefully one day, when the belts get split up, he will get one more run with the WWE title.
Smackdown Blast From The Past was awesome when all the legends helped Mean Gene and Sheamus
Can you do the many men behind the tna su.cide mask such as tjp. Christopher Daniel's. Austin aries i think frankie kazarien as well
Whoa Whoa Oh. Old Theme was banger.
Sheamus vs Ziggler at No Way Out ppv was one of my favorites
2:18 Bryan feuded with CM Punk immediately after losing the title.
compare the Sheamus we have now to THIS one a decade ago, Sheamus could've been a hall of famer material had they kept his 2009 - 2014 persona going.
I'm not a fan of Sheamus but he looks more intimidating than 99% wrestlers today
Sheamus in 2012 was one of the most underrated wrestler in my opinion, His matches and promo are just great, He was also a fantastic heel. Great video man👍👏.
Overated
Loved Sheamus during this time. Heel Sheamus is my favorite tbh though.
I watched raw and smackdown religiously during this time and I barely remember most of the this
Been waiting on this one. You delivered bro🙏🏾
Ricardo Rodriguez in the neck brace reminded me of Andy Kaufman
i miss this shamus butt kicking Irish Celtic warrior
David Otunga was just on 2 episodes of She Hulk on Disney+
The demon of w12
Give him one more title run please make him a grand slam champion he’s definitely a future hall of famer and one of my favorite superstars of all time he’s been heavily underrated after like 2013 and he’s gaining his momentum slowly back pls wwe let him dethrone Gunther
Correction: you said Y2J was gone for 4 years at this point. He was actually gone for 2 years leaving in 2010
I hated this run mainly because aside from Daniel Bryan, Randy orton,Chris Jericho, dolph ziggler and the big show his only opponent was Alberto del rio
He’s in the fatal 4 way at over the limit
Faces sheamus at money in the bank
Faces him at summerslam
And then at night of champions and at that point I rolled my eyes and was like “another del rio vs sheamus match no thanks”. it’s the same problem I had with Seth Rollins first universal title reign he has one match with aj styles and then the rest of the matches are against baron corbin and honestly none of the matches were good I would’ve rather seen big show as sheamus first opponent at least they have good chemistry
Sheamus deserves another run with one of the world titles.
No he doesn’t
@@pleaseshutup7053 Shut Up
@@pleaseshutup7053 yes he does

This title reign of Sheamus really allowed him to showcase his talents and further establish himself as a main event player. The only downside of his reign was ofc the feud with Alberto Del Rio, which got diluted over time as it was repetitive and overplayed. Otherwise, Sheamus made one hell of a World Champ. I do hope he wins the IC title before he calls time on his career.

First 🤸🏽♀️ great video as usual WP!
I feel like I was the only one who had a feeling Sheamus was going to win that rumble in 2012 when I was 12
Arguably his best run as a World Champion. Sheamus run as the World Heavyweight Champion had some unforgettable matches bar the poor Del Rio feud. Sheamus was a huge baby face between 2011 and 2014 and him winning the Royal Rumble was WWE putting their faith in him.
Do the big show title run
You should review the Seth Rollins vs. Rey Mysterio feud
11:36 i never laughed so hard holy shit hahaha
I wish Tensai could’ve feuded with Sheamus for a little bit so the Del Rio feud could’ve been shorter
When he beat cena I was hurt
That WrestleMania match I was so angry about that why would you book Daniel Bryan to lose like that in seconds!
When Sheamus First Came & Whooped John Cena I Hated Him Than When he Kept BrogeKicking Everything Hitting The WhiteNose &Beating ppl Chest Til I turns Red like His Made mhe love em One my Favorite Wrestliers.🗣Little Fella😅
But u didn’t speak if Daniel Bryan getting kicked in 1second if that was planned or by accident
Naw I can’t believe we was so brain washed by being ok of Sheamus calling himself Great White not The Celtic Warrior. Now I see why Tyrone Magnus couldn’t stand his title reign. & they did nothing right with him. He didn’t do anything back to the fake cops that Del Rio send against him like they could’ve do a lumberjack match at Night Of Champions & Sheamus does what he does best & that’s kicking oriole’s arse lol. Then he turns heel & feud with Randy Orton instead of Big Show (he suppose to be on Raw). & it makes sense cause nobody was taking Sheamus seriously with his goofiness. Sheamus was never the same since he lost the championship I mean look at his feud with Damien Sandow with Damien beating this nigga up every segment
Most underrated superstar today hands down
Sheamus best matches were d best of 7 wt cesaro 4 d us title
No
This should’ve been the year of Alberto Del Rio to win the Money In The Bank briefcase
Instead of 2011?
Huh really? Instead of 2011
The feud with Del Rio did him no favors in my opinion.
I was a lil kid I ain’t understand I just loved sheamus 😂
“It was my DESTINY” Jesus man😂🤦🏻♂️that was so annoying when Del Rio kept saying that for weeks😂
DESTINNNNNNY.......*Sound of Del Rio slapping his leg as he kicks his opponent*......lol😂😂😂
That Royal Rumble had to be Jericho's 💔
Sheamus been a W for so long
It was a pretty good run, but it was underwhelming. Sheamus wasn't really over with the crowd at that point, and the booking of his character was poor. The 18-second nonsense at Mania was a bad way to start it. Feuding with Del Rio for 5 MONTHS of his reign was ridiculous since most people knew that he was not gonna beat Sheamus. There were a number of good matches in there, but not much else. It really could've been better.
Damn Sheamus apologize so many times.🤣🤣
I loved this reign🔥🔥🔥
orton was the 2nd man at 2011,cena was no 3 and punk was 1.......orton was cheered way more than cena
Jericho says that he didn’t need the rumble W
Sheamus used Tout to show where he took Del Rio’s car 😂

Remember in 2012 when WWE tried to make Tout a thing 😂
Do dolph ziggler 2nd championship run

Ridiculous when he beat Jericho in the royal rumble.

Sheamus isn’t terrible but he’s become a hugely overrated wrestler. Man has had like 5 great matches and it’s all been because of his opponent, not him. Otherwise he’d put on great matches with everyone
Longevity doesn’t mean great. Or Ziggler, Kofi, and Miz would all be on the Mount Rushmore of WWE
Sheamus took Del Rio’s car in San Antonio so he took it to The Alamo it’s too bad WWE couldn’t get PeeWee Herman to make a cameo there 😂
