I remember this so fondly back in 2008 Cena return John Cena was such a beast I miss this time in wrestling Cena came back with vengeance and like I will go through anyone Cena was on another universe compared to everybody else John Cena defined 2008 and the Pg era he was so big strong and athletic and he was winning so easily I grew to admire and love this version of Cena that’s just untouchable

I think Cena in his prime like from 2005-2015 John Cena can beat anyone rock Austin hogan Roman taker rock any legend you name around that time that version of John cena i will cherish forever Cena was so awesome still is but now he’s not winning like he use to and he’s been putting guys over for years and nowadays fans still show hate on Cena the goat I think it’s just that the booking is so bad that it’s making it look like Cena is out of his prime I believe John Cena still got a lot left in the tank he’s still in great shape it’s just the way the booking is nowadays it’s all about what the fans want now and they really wanted to see Cena lose for along time now some fans are starting to come around in liking John Cena now I always loved Cena i look up to him but I miss the Cena of old when he was just unbeatable

I enjoyed Cena's run in 2008-09. Obviously, the standouts of this run were the feuds with Chris Jericho and Edge, especially the Edge feud, ending with that wicked chokeslam from the Big Show on to a spotlight. Anything involving Cena and Edge is going to be nothing short of amazing.

2008-2009 were an interesting year for John cena, The thing that stood out to me was His match with Randy Orton at Bragging right and His promo with edge at RAW. (Which was one of the best RAW segment of all time)

Ah the birth of Super Cena. When he was at his most overpowered and very selfish in terms of not putting over new talent like in SummerSlam 2010, but I loved it so much, because at the time, I was a kid😂
I didn’t care of the hate and loved him so much. Nowadays I agree with some of the criticisms, but regardless of his power, I still loved him and he had lots of bangers with many big names. Truly a nostalgic time, despite the increase of haters. Thank you for the nostalgia as always, homie.😊

Facts i 1000% agree the birth of super cena he came back from 2 injuries in one year and my favorite the royal rumble pop 08 best return ever and his 09 run was the best. I liked 2010 a little but my favorite is 2012-13 because it was new to see him not in the title picture and then win it against the rock 🪨 it was a perfect run for me during that era.
His 2008 Royal Rumble return will always be WWE’s best Royal Rumble return of all time.
I thought at the time Cena looked wired with the World Heavyweight title.

I think big show here was a nice touch as the edge vs cena feud had already happened, which was great clearly, but big show added a nice element to the match and gave some variety to that mania in terms of matches, as three guys we're able to have lots of excitement and constant action, I get why ppl wanted just edge vs cena, but me personally am glad they added big show, cena vs edge even continued after this
I agree. In fact, this logic is why almost everyone agrees that Cena-vs-Rock II should have been a triple threat w. WWE champion CM Punk defending his iconic reign against the faces of two eras... because it would have made things interesting. But maybe it's just me.

Lmaooo I remember the raw re-runs. they were on Mun2 on sundays at 4-6 and was the only time I could watch Raw because my parents made me go to bed by 9 when I was younger 🤣
I was right behind Cena in 3:52 (One taking selfie on left was my neighbor) I will always remember cause my friends trying get threw we accidentally bump into Cena and he smiled and said “Hey welcome to the front just give a bit space”, we said “of course Cena.” Even to this day I will forever defend Cena dude class act.

I was 12 during this time period I admit I was a big John Cena like most kids. 2008 wasn't Cena best year he lost clean a few times and injured as well but 2009 was a year for Cena.
