It's a wonder how they can forget about all of these things with such potential and instead of writing about actual good ideas they make more books about traveling to the _tribe._
Who even likes reading stuff about travelling? Every time a cat travels there's always going to be something to attack them - like a dog or some excuse so they make the chapter longer, or if we're talking about 'The new prophecy', the whole f***ing SERIES longer

If Millie was vaccinated, it makes sense why she would lose the immunity after a year. Some vaccines/meds work only for a year (for example: vaccine against rabies) and they have to be re-done every new year.
And that would be fine, if not for her lack of reaction to getting sick (most likely for the first time in her life). The idea is just forgotten and everybody acts like she was always susceptible to diseases

I miss the idea of Lionclan, Tigerclan, and Leopardclan. Imagine if these cool wild cat ancestors where the higher power that gives starclan prophecies and nobody sees solid evidence of their true existence as they are so detached from current clan cats that they prefer to simply create prophecies and such, much like the nightwings during the dragonet prophecy arc or wings of fire.
Yeah, I always wanted a backstory to this. I think it would have been much cooler if Jayfeather traveled back to those Great clans instead of the tribe
I was hoping they would intervene in the broken code actually. I always thought maybe Spotted Leaf joined them after her second death.

I mean in some books we do see that StarClan is getting the prophecies from somewhere but that would be amazing. Unfortunately, it;s a bit late in the series but it would have been cool to maybe have them as like deities

I’m now fully convinced that the whole “forgotten cats fading” thing is actually outside of canon and just an excuse for the writers when they forget about cats
Same otherwise so many of the starclan cats would be gone. The cats die all the time so they can’t pass down stories of those who they have lost in the past leaving them forgotten.
Though they’re not starclan I’d expect fallen leaves and rock to be gone before they were even introduced. And same with half moon though I think it’s mentioned that she’s much more faded than others.
I think she was faded, but when jayfeather time traveled they got brought back (it would explain why half-moon says she owes her life to jay, ) @creepywaffles4783

I headcanon she did feel pain until she died but she got control over the power by the time she joined ThunderClan. Kinda like how Jayfeather controlled his powers
I feel like it's also forgotten that Sorreltail and Leafpool were best friends, if I remember right, Leafpool choose Sorreltail over her own sister to help her find the moon pool in the new territories, and after that I don't remember their friendship being mentioned again
Also the group of loners that were found when Hollyleaf and a group of other cats went into two leg territory to try and find Sol, and that one of the she-cats was deeply in love with him, wishing her kittens were his
it was mentioined again when sorreltail got pregnant, she mentioined she wanted leafpool to be there when she gives birth

@@elliel4736 I do think that Spirit Animals did better at consistency than Warriors. Also, the issues mainly seem to be in certain books: The Burning Tide and Dragon's Eye are two examples. Other books do seem to be pretty good, though, inconsistencies are really just occasionally eye colours (although not as bad as Warriors) and uncertain times (such as Rise and Fall, at different points, saying that it's been either only a couple of months or a whole year since Wild Born).

It’s insane how many medicine cats there are that originally were/wanted to be warriors, specifically in Thunderclan (goosefeather, spottedleaf, yellowfang, cinderpelt, Jayfeather, alderheart)
But I guess cinderpelt was the only one who “was supposed to be a warrior” or whatever so she gets reincarnated
Cinderpelt was the only one who didn’t have a connection with Starclan. Not even Starclan themselves knew she would get hit by a monster like that. Though, now I wonder what determines whether or not a cat has a connection with Starclan..
I mean, technically Jayfeather was a warrior. In his past life as Jay wing, he was the then equivalent of a warrior I guess. So technically star’clan or whoever made that choice was like
“Ok so we’re definitely gonna bring him back, but imagine how funny it’d be if he were blind.”
It was confirmed that Jay was blind due to genetics so I’d argue he should be reincarnated again following Starclan logic also Firestar had a connection with Starclan but still got to be a warrior so Goosefeather should also be reincarnated
Also I agree would it be more powerful if a medicine cat chose that path it feels scummy plan to force cats into a roll they didn’t want
The only medicine cat that wanted to be a medicine cat in Thunderclan since TPB was Leafpool.

The queens don't have to tell the father rule probably got ditched because in Bluestar's super edition Thrushpelt covered for her. That and I feel like that rule would easily cause the cats to question queens who don't have an obvious father.
Your second sentence is totally correct, in Blackfoot's Reckoning it's shown that he was teased for being half-Clan/half kittypet because his mother never revealed who his father was (when, in reality, it was because his father was already in a relationship and didn't want to be outed as a cheater)

That happened with a mama cat outside with a bunch of unfixed males. Her kits ended up looking like a couple of different males in the area.

@@dinolil1474 I think that might’ve been a retcon but the reason for it is completely unknown to me.
Mistlekit was never named in the books, her only appearance being in Fire and Ice, she suffered from white cough but recovered afterwards. It never mentions how she dies or anything, she just appeared in one book and literally disappeared in the next. It’s almost like they forgotten her so they could do that subplot about Snowkit being deaf and Speckletail being too old to have anymore kits?
Maybe Leafpool was so clearly sad over Ashfur's death because it's her job as a medicine cat to save and protect her clan, but she lost a clanmate in a way that she could do nothing about.
The whole clan is her family, and it's her job to keep them healthy and alive, so that might explain why Jayfeather mentioned that her sadness was like that of a mother losing her kit.
Med cats are a lot like mothers/fathers of the clan..they care for their clan mates and keep everyone well, whilst feeling responsible when ever one dies! She also is the sister of squirrelflight, ashfur was very connected to her sister so she was likely good enough friends with him too. All of this together creates a strong mix of grief.
I'd say it makes sense as Cinderpelt told fireheart that the whole clan would be like her kits.
Anybody remmeber when in first books everyone talked about Lionclan, Tigerclan and Leopardclan? That must be the most forgoten thing in books

What Sad,Ghost means is about the ancient clans made of tigers,leopards and lions that was spoke too be no twoleg would be in their territory.

It really annoys me how many things the Erins just dropped. Lionclan, Tigerclan, and Leopardclan hardly get any attention, the ancients, cool villains like Sol, etc. Honestly the idea of the Great Clans being above StarClan and sending _them_ prophecies and such is really cool, and I just wish the Erins did more with them. Yes, Lionclan and Tigerclan get their show in The Prophecies Begin, but apart from Leopardstar, Graypaw accidentally calling it Spottyclan, and of course Secrets of the Clans, Leopardclan got almost zero attention whatsoever. It's not fair that the Erins just forget or drop really neat or interesting concepts like this.
I have a theory on Leafpool and Squilf’s telepathy. I think that after it was no longer needed as much, the connection faded away. On the other hand, I agree with what she said about how it could’ve been helpful. I think that this plot point is little bit like how the Three’s power didn’t work anymore after the Great Battle. Correct me if I’m wrong though, because I haven’t reread some of these books in a while.

- renaming a warrior ceremony. Idk how often it happened before but Oneeye (I think ?) told Firestar about it, when he gave Brightheart her name
- every aprentice had to travel to the moonstone at least once. Eversince they traveled to the lake, nobody travels to the moon pool.
Are only medcats & leaders allowed now to talk to their ancients ?
- giving tongues. It happened in the first book & never again
- do aprentices still have to go through a final test, to prove they are ready to become warriors ?
When they got to the lake they stopped the apprentices from going to the moon pool

I cant recall any aprentice who isnt a medicine cat going to the moonpool, yet they travel to the moonstone in book 1. Why ?

I can't remember if they called it a vigil, but after the warrior ceremony they used to have to guard the camp in silence. I couldn't tell you the last book I read where that happened.
@@cassiemcadams4368 a lot of things have been happening in broken code so vigils have been put to a hold , if u have read broken code you can tell how chaotic it is. Squirrelflights Hope takes place in between broken code and a vision of shadows, they held vigils in there

A plot that didn't go anywhere was Leafpool's strong connection to Starclan being abnormal/mentioned as different. Besides finding the moon pool, I've always felt that Leafpool should've became Midnight and Rock's apprentice. Joining them and the ancients with a further knowledge of power Starclan lacks.
I have an AU that Leafpool is behind the events of TBC, and is actually the cat with all the powers. Controlling Ashfur in the process. This is due to her being wronged by the code and Starclan and her death is pretty much Bramblestar's fault.
She's actually the ones with powers. Ashfur being sent down to find Leafpool's ghost after Leafpool rejects Starclan and her body is too injured to return to leaving her as a ghost. Explains why Ashfur was sent in the first place (as one of the books mention him being sent to solve a problem or something, who better to send than they guy who nearly murdered your family to show Starclan is forgiving)
Ashfur and Leafpool then team up to make the new villain duo. Leafpool's goal may be to gain a new body herself and finally get to be with Crowfeather or possibly her goal is just to change the code so no more are hurt like she was.
Nevertheless, I feel it's fitting that Leafpool, once defeated, joins the ranks of Rock (spirit of the mountain) and Midnight (spirit of the sea). Now simply called Leaf (spirit of the forest).

I've always found the Tigerstar and Darkstripe scene really funny for some reason. Like... they CAN meet up, they do it right there, but Tigerstar literally just says 'no no we can't do this it's not how it works' like dawg what are you talking about
For the Ashfur x Leafpool one. A good cover up could be the resemblance between Jayfeather and Ashfur. That’s like… the best I could think of…
oh I dont mean that they were related. I was just thinking that maybe the fact that they look similar touched Leafpool in a way. Like how you might see a doppelganger of someone and think its them.
@@Dont_support If genetics made any sense in Warriors, Leafpool would be red, Jayfeather would be red, and Hollyleaf would be tortoiseshell. Your logic doesn't make sense realistically. It sounds like, in your case, the odd-colored kittens probably had different fathers than the rest of their litters.

Male cats can only inherit ginger from their mothers, Firestar’s mother had no ginger, Firestar’s entire direct family is brown. Or something similar idk.
(Btw, this was NOT my info, but I believe in my sources, which were 2 different videos on this topic that both stated this fact and both stated that he would be brown or at the very least, not ginger.)

Apparently, the writers never forgot Millie’s knowledge on how to talk to dogs. But, since there would never be any inter species alliance, there was just no use for it. Can’t remember tho
Still I think so much could be done with it, imagine if clan cats apprenticies were learning basics in dog language to not start fights? Even without being allies, when travelling they could ask them for directions etc, such a great idea just pushed to the side!
The sister telepathy thing would have been fun to keep around! They're such good sisters to each other, and this power makes perfect sense for them, I don't get why it was scrapped so quickly.

I feel like she could have been so much more, but she just left. Cody could have been something like Millie, or Daisy, but she could have taken on a clan name. I know she was unable to have kits, but honestly, she could have stayed after the battle with the dark forest to look after the kits.
Another thing they could have done with her is that when she disappeared, she could have returned when Skyclan came to the lake as a random kittypet that they took in. She also could have joined Darktail, but that probably wouldn’t have made sense-
Back to the skyclan thing. She could have been the next medicine cat if the erins JUST REMEMBERED ABOUT HER.
ANOTHER FORGOTTEN PLOT POINT: Mousewhikers little crush on Minnowtail. I wonder what could have happened between them? They even trained in the dark forest together.

HOW did the plot point of Slash end so weirdly in the Dawn Of The Clans? Like my guy tries to steal kits, fails, and then just leaves? I mean, COME ON. It would be cool if they continued his legacy through like a ancestor or something that passed on the knowledge of the clans, mother to daughter and father to son, kind of like the Skywatcher, but a lot longer. I think that forgetting about him was stupid, because he caused a lot of wreckage in the series. I don’t know, thanks for reading, sorry for using up your time. :P

I think I know the answer to Leafpool x Ashfur. In Leafpool's Wish, I don't remember the chapter or exact words for this, but I clearly remember her saying that she wished her sister had chosen Ashfur instead of Brambleclaw. She said this because she had seen Brambleclaw in the Dark Forest. Maybe Leafpool never trusted Brambleclaw and that's why she was sad when Ashfur died since Squirrelflight would always be Brambleclaw's mate. Also, that might be why she went against Bramblestar's word to not help any injured Sisters, because she didn't trust him. I hope that made sense and I'll edit this comment if I find the exact chapter and words Leafpool said in Leafpool's Wish.

I can understand that people might like her character, and she was a decent villain, but I'm pretty sure most people didn't like that she killed needletail

Here are some more forgotten characters that I can remember: Smudge, Princess, Henry, Cody, Coal, and Hattie
Hattie is a cat who was seen talking to Smudge in The Darkest Hour and came with Smudge when he decided to seek help from Firestar in Firestar's Quest.
Smudge is a cat who begged for Rusty to stay as a kittypet but failed. He was seen talking to Hattie in Darkest Hour and went to Firestar for help in Firestar's Quest. He was later mentioned in Dawn by Cody. He is also my favorite cat and I wish he could have more time in the books.
Henry was mentioned by Smudge in Into the Wild for capturing a Robin. Then Rusty just said how he just complains about bird because they disturb his dozing.
Princess is Firestar's sister and appears in every TPB book except Into the Wild.
Cody is a kittypet who was captured by the humans and temporarily joined the Clans and helped Ferncloud with Birchkit. She later left and never appeared again.
Coal is a kittypet who was captured by the humans and later escaped after the big heist prison escape type thing and was never heard of or mentioned again.

In a random "Warrior Cats facts" video I watched, it said the Erins had confirmed Sol with never return to the Clans. Ofc I have no way of proving this is true, and it might not be, but we don`t know. I think it`s more likely that whoever made that video thought Sol obviously wasn`t going to return, so they thought they could get away with claiming that the Erins had confirmed it. I do find it interesting that they worded it "to the Clans", though. That makes me think it could possibly be true, and Sol will return, just not to the Clans themselves. As much of a possibly interesting storyline that could be, I`m not convinced that`s going to happen at all. We still have no proper way of knowing for sure what will happen to Sol yet, so I guess we`ll just have to wait and see. Thx for reading!
I personally wouldn't trust any Warrior Cats '''facts'''' video ever, mostly because they almost never link any sources at all, and a lot of times those ''facts'' are just so absurd you know they are not true (Like the "Squirrelflight actually had Ashfur kits but they died at birth" thing, like :/) But I do admit I'm not oppose to the idea of sol returning, even if not necessarily to the clans (or ever), a super edition maybe? who knows.

@mrdoe97 Yeah. But it was resolved pretty quick and it was never brought up again. So what I’m saying is that it WAS technically resolved but never brought up again. And Daisy’s crush on Cloudtail was never mentioned after that. (And from what I remember Cloudtail and Brightheart didn’t interact much with Daisy afterwards.)

The Ashfur and Leafpool dynamic could’ve actually been quite interesting had Leafpool actually developed feelings for him over time. How would Squirrelflight react? How would the three react if Leafpool admitted to it after Ashfur died? What if Ashfur and Leafpool had become a couple? Would that have deterred Ashfur’s actions, and made him more like Bumblestripe in the end? That’s a super interesting concept that I would’ve loved to see expanded further!

I remember someone went into the fact that Ashfur was in the medicine den after the fight with Badgers and they thought how Leafpool and Ashfur might have had a strong connection since then because of their lost loves and what could have been. That their emotional conflicts created something that might not have been love but a close connection. Like Bluestar's affection for Thrushpelt that could have been more but she left it at friendship
I wish more queens maintained non-disclosure of their kits’ fathers or let it be more subtle like some toms love their kits and mates but others aren’t interested in fathering despite being the sires of litters and that’s okay.
Also I came across an amazing point before that mentioned that not naming fathers in clan culture would’ve enabled the clans to have more diverse gene pools with queens mating to toms outside of their clans or outside of clans in general.
With fathers having to be named and the code forbidding mates outside of their own clan, that means gene pools would be incredibly small and each clan is full of closely related cats with the most distant relationship between any two cats in a clan is a sort of cousin and probably not even a large degree of distance.
Not to mention, imagine brothers to queens being really fantastic and enthusiastic uncles! Although that would’ve made the Dustpelt/Ferncloud situation… toxic at best by human terms that most go by.
However, I used to head canon, and maybe I still do, that each clans’ tiny gene pool explains otherwise impossible genetic oddities so common in Warriors, not to mention, it means each clan could in fact be more like separate breeds with, perhaps, a bit more variety than most actual human-created breeds.
I would love a series called Dawn Of the Tribe, covering the ancient lake cats, and maybe Midnight. Maybe Midnight is the reason for StarClan and the Tribe of Endless Hunting?
9:15 some have theorized that Graystripe was reincarnated from Gray wing. He had two mates, a close friend (Thunder, Shadowstar, or Wind runner) one his mates died, he had a sickness or disorder (Gray wing had asthma Graystripe had an eating disorder) they were both deputy/leader at one point (Gray wing was Tall shadow’s deputy/assistant and Graystripe took over leadership in Firestar’s quest)
And both their mother’s died

I actually really wish the three though that Ashfur was their father for a while. They even could have confronted Leafpool about it, or jayfeather could’ve thought that he was his father cause he was grey like him, since there’s no other light grey cats of Leafpool’s age that i know of. (Crowfeather is dark grey, so he doesn’t count)

For me a forgotten plot point (though I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who remembers it) is the relationship between Nutwhisker and Fernshade. In Yellowfang's Secret, Brightflower mentions them hanging out together and says she hopes they will get together in the future. Then, suddenly Fernshade has kittens and everyone is like "oh, they're Wolfstep's, aren't they?". And that's fine! She's not obligated to love somebody a few people were shipping with her moons ago. The thing is nobody acknowledges the gossip anymore. She literally gets pregnant, then everyone's saying "yeah, Wolfstep is the father, that's obvious". Brightflower never shows disappointment, Nutwhisker is nor jealous nor happy for his friend (they could be a "talked once and are shipped" thing though), everyone simply forgets.
the “Leafpool x Ashfur” thing is clearly just Leafpool feeling bad that her actions led to Ashfur’s death. obviously there were no feelings and I’m sure Jayfeather realized that too once he found out what Leafpool did
Me and my friend came up with this theory:
In the book Dawn, either Leafpaw or Squirrelpaw breaks the warrior code, (I forgot who) and after that, Leafpaw and Squirrelpaw loose their telepathy thingy. So whenever you break the Warrior Code, your power goes away. After Omen Of The Stars, Lionblaze, Dovewing, and Jayfeather all lose their power. Lionblaze and Jayfeather, because they were from a forbidden romance, and Dovewing because she basically married Tigerheart. Shadowsight, Dovewing and Tigerheart’s kit, got powers. All of which, were related too Leafpool.
The Leafpool x Ashfur thing was just a misunderstanding on Jayfeather's part, I think. She was upset because she knew Hollyleaf had killed him. She concealed Hollyleaf's fur in the medicine den to save her daughter.
but she found Hollyleaf's fur in his claws a page after that paragraph

I never understood why Cinderpelt got a second life. So what if she had a bum leg from an accident she caused and couldn't be a warrior? What about Briarlight? She couldn't use either legs and couldn't even be a medicine cat!
I’m happy you mentioned SleekWhisker because I was pretty bummed when she was forgotten too, I mean, she’s still out there with an various amount of the leftover Kin, so surely she’s still a threat? Especially with her chaotic, dangerous personality. I think she’d make a great villain- perhaps she’s been collecting more and more rouges to return to the Clans for another battle…but if the Erin’s choose to push her to the side, then I guess that’s what Au’s are for.
I always interpreted the Leafpool and Ashfur line as Leafpool just grieving because she knew that her family situation led to his death in some way, and feeling guilty about it. And Jayfeather just not being able to make that connection because he doesn't know the backstory yet.
What if Leafpool was especially sad about Ashfur's death because of her telepathic link with Squirrelflight?
It annoys me that in the Great Battle in the Last Hope that they didn’t come together as Lionclan because it’s almost the same as Scourge and Bloodclan or the Great Journey. I feel like it should be something when all clans come together during a dark time they should be called Lionclan. I also really like that line “Lionclan attack” or hearing that.

personally, i believe the line with leafpool and jayfeather is great at displaying the juxtaposition between the two medicine cats’ views on life and their position in the clan.
it is first stated in moth flight’s vision that a medicine cat is to love each clanmate with the same paternal protectiveness as a mother would have towards a kit - hence the line where jayfeather mentions leafpool’s sorrow as such. leafpool’s empathetic nature and maternal experiences allow her to understand and encompass that kind of platonic affection, whereas jayfeather has a much more difficult time grasping the concept. the line where he is assuming that leafpool may have loved ashfur as a mate is showing exactly where jay’s social shortcomings are. of course, he cares for his clanmates. but as one shown time and time again to be emotionally inept despite his abilities, it is unfortunately a bond he won’t be able to ever fully comprehend.
the line could also be interpreted as jayfeather’s repulsion to a medicine cat taking a mate, which would set up - of course - the later plot point of him discovering his heritage (and perhaps his own short-lived infatuation with half moon).
Imagine if they kept the telepathy between Squilf and Leafpool.
One of them dies and the other realize how quiet it is now.
Or, one of them dies and it's quiet for a while before they can talk again via telepathy and the alive one is very excited about it ! And we realize that starclan cats have some code or something where they have to speak vaguely in dreams etc, but they act like a normal clan when not delivering propheties.
I don't know if I'm clear enough, but wouldn't it be funny and cute to have Squilf say to someone "Leafpool ? Yeah she's hanging out with Firestar right now"
(Or, Squilf is now able to hear Leafpool & co talk about the prophecies, however she is under the obligation to never talk about it - unless they already delivered the prophecie to ThunderClan, I guess -, and it's like a curse to her. If someone wants to write something with this concept, go on !)
