- Hello guys I want to show you how to convert your 2JZ GE non vvti engine to a GTE style trigger system by installing a cam sensor plus the correct trigger wheel in order to gain the ability for sequential fire ignition and fuel injection. And removing the ugly/bulky stock distributor from the GE head.
This is the ultimate solution for you to get a fully functional 2JZ without having to spend $6500+ on a 2JZ GTE swap for your build. Or if you are looking to use the most out of your engine management system this is also the best way to solve the common trigger issue on the GE platform without having to swap to a GTE head. I will be offering these mod at my shop so if you are looking to get this done you can send me an email at bigboostshop@gmail.com and I can get you really good pricing on Brian crower GTE cams for the conversion as well! I have them for sale in my online store bigboostshop.com/ - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I love the content. I’ve learned so much from watching your videos. Keep on making the great content. 👍
awesome berto... seems like your one of the first to get the ge's into gte step by step process awesome... looking forward to your swap on how much hp its gonna throw out
There’s a couple videos on how to do this but I’m so glad you made one. I’ll probably end up doing this to my 2j in my is300 when I turbo it.
ALBERTO you the man .. I have a Sc300 non vvti and been looking for a way to get rid of the distributor.. Keep up the great content and hopefully you show the rest of this swap.
Best CZcamsr. Detailed and thorough💪🏽
Very detailed but straight forward , just subscribed !👍🏼
im excited for your channel to grow bro
Awesome job Alberto.....
Keep up the videos.. we miss them!!
Thank you so much for making this video and explaining it all so simply
Nice work Alberto! Appreciate your time and effort in producing these videos for us.
Tip: Instead of welding, use aluminum or teflon spacer cut to proper width to keep sensor away from camshaft. Drill 2 holes and thread them to attach bung to cylinder head with bolts and a proper paper/rubber gasket. Seal around bung inside the head to prevent any oil from leaking through bung hole to outside of head.
is there any website i can buy those?

Probably the best thing ever. LZ kind of comes off as a narcissist.

super happy exactly the video / info i was looking for! thank you
One of my favorite youtubers doing a vid on something I need to know?? BET
Delete this, we can't let GE prices go up 😭
That's why everyone says that "the ge isn't the same as the gte". Gotta keep the ge motor secret.🤣
isnt there so much of them?
@@husk1c There are a lot of them in the African American community 😆 I own two 2005 GS300's
@@MRMAN-wb1tv yeah man, no reason for the price to spike up haha
@@husk1c Lol. You're sadly mistaken WE JACKING THE PRICE SKY HIGH!!! 😂😂😂
Bro i really appreciate you sharing this content. I have a 1992 sc300 2jz non vvti and i just sent it to tbe shop. Going to ask them to help me.
Awesome work Alberto👍
This video is awesome thanks big boost
As I am literally asking myself how to make a gte out of a ge This video pops up 🤣
😬😬😬
Na-T conversations on GE motors will be the next craze, much more cost effective
Just get the GTE OEM OIL PUMP AND CRANK trigger. I am thinking of converting my gte crank trigger to the VVTI crankshaft trigger.
I have both blocks and I just did this to my ge while the GTE WAS IN THE CAR
@@ALBERTOBIGBOOST do you have any tips about the vvti na-t conversion? I’ve currently got two N/A vvti 2j’s in my garage. Or are the swaps relatively the same?
@@HAHAHHA97 VVTI GEs had weaker rods and pistons, just swap them out for GTE rods and pistons and you'll be good. There are other things to take into consideration (turbo drain/feed etc) as more people get interested in NA-T conversons there are better. Aftermarket products being developed for example, a few persons have developed adapters that would allow you to use an OEM GTE intake manifold on a GE.
Great guide guys!
Thank you I did learn something new today.
Thats what is all about! Thanks for watching.
I always use a vvti ge and build the bottom end 👍 3 in now. Cheap and good to have a few on standby. Love your work bro
I will admit vvti ge is the way to go but with this it gives hope to the non vvti ge’s out there which have to swap a bunch of stuff to work as they should
@@ALBERTOBIGBOOST Very much so bro, great info youve given. Wouldve helped out a lot on my first one that was a dizzy ge 👍
@@ALBERTOBIGBOOST but arent the non vvti rods thicker than vvti, so you still would have to do some head work anyway?
@@Bman2393 gte headgasket and forged internals man. Gte headgasket raises it up enough. They are thicker but the head flows fine. Read somewhere ge head has either bigger intake or exhaust ports and gte has the opposite, but thats forum info, not technical data.
Could you just use a non vvti
Bottom end and then Wack a vvti head on?
Love the time-lapse
I would be cool with it if you did the entire engine modifications without deleting shots but in time lapse form I really dig timelapse videos
Excellent video brother, Marco my boy lol hilarious
Great video 🔥🔥💯💯✌🏼 It would be nice having this engine on a brz 🤙🏼
The main man! Awesome!
Genius level status 👏
I always watch your videos, but I was never subbed. Needless to say, I am subbed now. :) Love the content man, im keep to chuck a 2j in m 328i when I Can afford to!
Thanks for the support💪 you should look into getting a cheap 2jzge vvti and start from there. Honestly is the best route right now.
@@ALBERTOBIGBOOST finding them for an affordable price here in Australia is an issue though. I may even go the 1j route if I can't get hold of a 2
Vamos a ti Big Boost!!!!!
“Hot Hot Hot, that got hot fast!” Haha that was a good one!
Nice to see Marco again. It seemed like he disappeared for a while
Yes we allways learn something cool from you thanks.
I love it it’s just a lot of work 😢
Any details on the vvti ge to gte setups? Ive had mine for a couple years and im now ready money wise to do do a build. Got the motor for a sweet deal and theres nothing wrong with it at all. I know it has the weaker rods and it has coils already.
Alberto muy buen video, el cover valve es de un gte?
Just like that.... Damn Cool⭐💯
great tutorial man i have a question. i bought the BC 264 cams. and they have those tabs but im experiencing two problems. on the intake side when the cam is on the timing mark the tab for that sensor is aiming straight down and so i have no idea how to go about that.
Secondly it looks like on my cams is a bit further towards the middle of the head and theres even more obstruction in the casting and its closer to a bolt for the intake manifold so im worried that it will obstruct the bolt or possibly actually hit it.
Now on the exhaust side it looks like it would line up properly but im concerned about it getting really hot and melting being so close to the turbo manifold. do you think its doable on the exhaust side ?
What were the results of this engine build, did the cam sensor work? I'm thinking about doing the same conversion.
Thank you!
@Alberto BIGBOOST so the vvti crank trigger wheel can do sequential spark?
Where did you get the flange for the cam sensor to purchase or do you sell ?
Wouldn't you get excessive oil pressure build up using a gte oil pump on a ge block? Leaking from the main seals either front or rear, because lack of oil squitters???
And second question please, wouldn't i have to weld in two cam position sensors instead of one? Because gte has two cam trigger sensors on Cam. Im keeping OEM auto GE ECU until i can get a piggyback AEM???
Got a question, youre doing this all on a GE non-VVTi, did you weld in the crankshaft position sensor under the tensioner too? Do most standalone ECUs need the crank position sensor for ignition or just cam position sensor?
How do you tune this. With a 36-2 vs the 12 tooth gte crank trigger. I have always thought of changing my gte crank trigger to the 36-2 vvti trigger for better resolution.
Nice work! Does anyone know where i can buy those gold washer and bolts used on the valve covers ? :)
Ничего не понятно, но очень интересно :) Nothing is clear, but very interesting :)
Bigboost I'm looking for info on turboing vvti ge engine and a walk through vid on steps to do this might help not only me but any gs300 owners. If you could help that would be great, thanks
Here before the ge goes up
Good video.
Time to get going on my is300 project
If you do not use the timing belt and turn the crankshaft, the piston will get stuck in the valve?
Do you then flash the gte engine software on the stock ecu or source a new ecu
Hey how you doing.? I have a 2jzgte non VVTi that's been seized because of water and been seating for 2 or more years with water in the cylinders. Do you think motor is not good anymore? I'm in NY I want to rebuild the engine but i just started taking the engine of the car. I see rust build up on the cam lobes. Just surface rust.! And in the head cavities as well. Valves are stuck. And crank doesn't turn at all.
Saludos desde Puerto Rico yo tengo un motor 2jzge y quiero hacer eso mismo donde puedo conprar la base del can sensor y el cracks sensor
Do you guys have a price to do the mod with the kit and labor?
whats the best place to sourse a GE motor? i am looking to sway a 2J in my 74 nova? also what trans would work just looking to cruise it, shooting for around 400HP.
When will you have these adapters in stock?
Ayo Berto, what's the going rate for a stripped GTE Cylinder head? Under $500 with valves?
Hey Alberto, where can we get a bracket like that?
I definitely didn’t knew about that
Nice! How much It will cost to rebuild my is300 2005? To make it a fun car for my Lil son.
Para montar el crank sensor hay q canbiar la bonba de haceite ?????
Hello, i have one question
I have a 2jz ge and i have one head 2jz gte
I can upgrade the 2jz gte head to the 2jz ge block?
Hey Alberto for vvti ge can you use gte cams ?
I like know we're cna find the sensor foundation or how can I get with you guys I have a ge project. I want to make gte
Just bought a 2jz ge for 1300. I have it on a stand in my bathroom and I'm slowly converting it to a gte
Is it a lack of both a cam and crank sensor? Or just cam sensor?
Hello I know this is an old video so I might not get a reply. But wouldn't just running the batch injection fix that issue? It really doesnt give us any preformance uprades to run sequential because its low end only. Mostly for fuel economy. Or is this simply to claim you have a gte and not to gain power?
Yeeeeessss! We got the first "tiiick!" Of the channel! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Can we use prp trigger kit, like rb
Donde montastes el crank sensor???
Where do you buy the cas plate?
How is the valve lash?
Are you running the stock ge ecu or you have a gte ecu???
Just checked your website. You're sold out on the bung (CAM SENSOR ADAPTER) ... Do you know when you'll get more in stock??
Hey I found 2JZ motor from is300 as GE VVTI is believed . How much it worth to sale it ?
I would love for you to build my GE!
Someone had probably already said it.. but there’s also the option of keeping your distributior and tossin on a cap if you go cop. Not as “pretty” but your ol distributor CAN act like a cam angle sensor.
Do you do this service for others? If so how much?
Does anyone know if you could silver solder a trigger on to the original cam?
Question how much would this project cost around?
Which reluctor wheel dis you use?
What valve covers are those?
Could you do a 2jz ge non vvti full na t build for us guys on a budget
Great video and info, where you guys are located? You can might be doing some work on my 2jzge, let me know when you get a chance, thanks.

Where to buy the cam sensor spacer?
Alberto, Question for a GE vvti head. would you consider porting the intake ports to the same size as the ones on a GTE vvti head for better flow?
Does the head gasket on the GE vvti head needs to be upgraded to the OEM GTE vvti HG to decrease the compression? I know it's 10:1 in the GE vvti and 8.5:1 in the GTE vvti.
The ge head already flows better but I was told that you wouldn't see a difference until 700hp
i found a pair of stock 2jzgte rods for 30k what do you mean cheap? i found some used gte rods for like 2300 and those dont include bolts or pistons from the gte. theres no way you can make a 2jzge into a 2jzGTE for cheaper. just get a gte from the get go or just dont get one at all
hello can i buy a cam sensor bracket for my 2jz ge nat non vvti
Alberto just beat Tommyfyeah Subs🔥🤣
What brand are those covers ?
Cant i just swap the the cylinder head for a GTE cylinder head on the same block ?!
Wait, so is there a cam sensor on the 2jz ge vvti head or not?
How much do you charge to pout a 2JZ GTE engine into a Nissan 300zx
If I mess up at any point will the car blow up? (Genuine questions)
Mr.Bigboost what cup do you recommend for welding stainless steel? loving the content. bought a stock IS300 2JZ last week to build for my 05' IS300
I like using the fupa12 from furick .
