- Watching without headphones is worthless really... Comparison video of stock exhaust vs a Flowmaster Super 44 (kept stock resonators ) on my 2016 Ram 1500 Sport. Start ups, revs, accelerations, and highway. All stock except for the new exhaust (well, and the running boards).
This is the 2016 special edition sport in Stinger Yellow. I call it my Rumble wanna-Bee. Super 44 sounds start at 1:35 - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Even stock Rams sound better than most trucks.
You couldn’t be more wrong
Just bought a 2014 ram sport and this video convinced me in snagging one of those mufflers! Thanks for making the vid!
@Bill I have the same truck and after watching your video last week I picked up a super 44 and it's getting installed tomorrow while I'm at work. can't wait to hear it. thanks for posting the video
mcbean mcbean hey that's awesome. Once you get it on let me know how you like it.
Good gravy that truck sounds amazing! I do believe the Super 44 and Hemi were made for each other!
I agree!
I have 2019 1500 Ram 5.7L & have the flomaster super 44 as well , I kept resonators & mine sounds bad ass well 🤙🏼 nice truck bro! Sounds great
Great vid, getting this on my truck next Friday
Nice. I was looking at the 40's and saw the Flowmaster vid at SEMA describing the different mufflers. Now that I saw your video on the 44's I'm sold. I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Crew Cab I literally just bought in Sept with only 6945 original miles. Its a brand new truck inside and out. Thanks.
Sounds like a great truck! Enjoy that super 44. Would like to see a vid after you get it installed.
Great video. I just got the exact same truck, 2016 Sport in stinger yellow. Only 34k miles. Gonna grab this muffler now!
Great video. Because of this I made the decision to go with the Super 44 and no resonator delete. Sounds perfect!
That's awesome! I think Flowmaster should give me a cut of the sale! haha!
Awesome video man. I’m thinking I will have to order it for mine
Exactly what I'm doing on my 2021 Ram Express 3.6 4x4 regular red night Edition. Super 44 leave Resonators. Thnkyou!
Just bought this muffler for my 2017 big horn hemi. I was skeptical at first but a lot of reviews are great. Cannot wait to install
I hope to hear it! Post a vid!
The_Real_iDad hey so! It’s been installed for almost 2 months now and it sounds a lot better like the mufflers been broken in! The only downside is the drone BUT it’s not overly annoying lol I also lifted my truck with 35’s now it’s looking pretty sweet
@@michellemetanad7299 Hey! that's awesome!
@@michellemetanad7299 that’s awesome I didt the same thing got the super 44 and cut out the resonators it sounds bad ass on my 2019 ram 1500 big horn
Great video very informative and helpful as I consider one for my 2014 RAM Laramie. Awesome comparisons in and outside of the cab. Yours sounds great!
Jason Simpson thank you! Good luck on the search. Lots of nice ones to choose from.
Bill I love the sound of yours but I've been thinking of the Flowmaster 50 because I'm a family guy.
2 Questions about the 44 : Will I be able to keep a low profile picking the kids up from elementary school and also while sneaking into the neighborhood at 1:30 am?
Will my wife be able to talk my ears off on a long highway trip at 80 mph?
If you can answer yes to both I'm going with the one you have
Jason Simpson I understand your dilemma and shared the same. I have 3 kids I drop at school every day. You won't be low profile with the super 44, you will be heard no question. That low bassy rumble will turn heads everywhere you go. If you live on a quiet street people will know when you come home. I have no problem having conversation in the cab though. I keep it under 2k RPM and creep down the street when I come home. Cold start in the garage vibrates my walls. My friend has a 50 HD and he loves it, that might be better for your situation.
Sounds awsome!!! I think that's the best sound for those trucks
very sweet truck their, sounds great too.
Stock sounded way too tame. Flowmasters sound awesome!
DogDaybreak yeah I would be ashamed.
Excellent video
This is bad ass thanks man you just helped choose
I made up my mind after watching this video. Got the super 44 with no res delete and kept the stock tips. Amazing sound and deep rumble. Super 10 woulda been too loud super 44 is just enough. Thanks for the video.
moses rho glad to hear. That deep rumble is addicting.
@@w3bexec why didn't you remove the Resonatorz Do they serve a specific purpose? Someone's told me they Doo
@@40streetblack79 they tame the sound some so it’s not crazy loud and annoying at cruising speeds
Sounds awesome I got a 40 series on my 2012 dodge last week.
Nice truck dude. Sounds great!
Thank you! New video coming soon with an exhaust update after 14K miles and tires/wheels.
2020 Ram Sport with Super 44 and resonators. Sounds like a beast. Glad I kept the resonators on though.
The Flowmaster Super 44 on your truck is it a direct bolt on? Or did you have a exhaust shop install it and run new tail pipes also? Do you know the part # for the super 44 on your truck? It sounds great and I want to do the same to my girlfriends 2016 Limited.
Damn nice truck.....I really dig that color. 👍 The Hemi sounds great with that exhaust.....it was way too quiet with factory mufflers. The 5" tips look amazing too. Nice job on that whole set up.
Sounds Good!
haha nice vid man.. was deciding a few months back what to get and this video had me convinced ordered mine on amazon for 115 bucks and i love em, gets lots of attention #ramlivesmatter
Headed towards Greeley for a bit! Just bought the outlaw. Flowmaster was the way to go.
Sounds Nasty!....Love It!!!!....Ram Baby Yea👍
Awsome vid. This video is making decide I'm going with a super 44 on my hemi. Keeping resonators just like you. Loved the sound and would be happy if mine sounds like urs
He deleted the resonators though. No point in going with an aftermarket muffler if you keep the resonators. Cut them out, trust me you’ll want to
@@joshua.johnson he didn’t delete the resonators, he said specifically that he almost did but changed his mind right before install and was very happy with that decision
@@ryangallagher3291 That's exactly 💯 what he said! Alot people say the resonator keep fumes & gases from entering the engine also help the air flow naturally threw the pipes & exhaust.
Will be picking up my ‘19 1500 classic quad cab 4x4 5.7L and first things I’m doing is a K&N in the air box and a SUPER 10 series just like my ‘04 hemi Durango.
I have 19 ram classic too but mine is a v6 should I get the super 44 or the 10??
My resos’ were deleted (on a more tame Magaflow system) and the drone at lower rpms can be VERY irritating. Wish I’d kept mine on. (I’ve had Flowmasters on everything else I’ve had, so I know them well). 🇨🇦👍🏼
Which super 44 did you get? There are a few different options
I just purchased a Bighorn Ram 2019 that has the 5.7 Hemi. Is this Super 44 loud on the inside of the cab? As in a scale from 1-10? 10 being extremely loud inside? Thanks sir.
Hi. Speaking about the super 44 and interior. How loud it is will depend on if you delete the resonators. If you don't know, the resonators are just before the end the of tail pipes (they look like a large tube). If you keep those, the interior would be about a 6 in my opinion. I would say stock is about a 3. Removing those however (like in the case of a full catback system) you'll for sure see drone inside which will get annoying. The interior shots in my video, you can hear the exhaust for sure, but you can also speak and be heard very well. Turn on the radio and you won't hear any exhaust unless you are laying on the pedal. Hope this helps.
How's it going I just came upon you vid. I got a 5.7 I just put a 40 series on and I love it but not as deep of sound I was looking for. Do you know if the 44 has a Noticeably deeper tone then the 40. I'm thinking about switching over?
Hi! The only other person I know who has a flowmaster has a 50. So, I am not sure if its deeper, but for sure its louder, and whatever deep you have now will for sure be louder. Mine is a deep loud and shakes the walls in my house when cold started in my garage. My dog knows when I am 3 blocks away.
I have a 2014 1500 that I put 10 series on and removed the resonators. That was the way to go.
Sounds Sweet.
I prefer the slightly raspier sound of the 40 series, but your truck sounds awesome.
I love the truck. I've got the same one and I stuck dodge stock black 20s and it made the world of a difference for looks. Sounds sick by the way
Thanks man! I bet the black wheels do look great. Everyday I get a compliment and I bet you do too. I have similar wheels planned. Have to save :)
Hi bill what's the part number you have for the flow master super 44
I am sitting in my dads but we got it flared out real nice very aggressive look.
I'm thinking of getting this for my 2016 1500 5.7L, any modification to the truck or exhaust that I should know about before buying? Also, did you get the 3.00 center in and 2.50 dual out?
This shit sounds amazing 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Did you use the offset inlet or center inlet? I just bought a 16 and am going this route as well
Awesome sounds man. Just a question, what model of super 44 do you have. I'm trying to get it from Amazon and keeps telling me it won't fit on the stinger. Thanks!
Hi Adrian. Thanks! I got super 44 model number 9430452. 3" center inlet, 2.5" dual out. I had a local shop put it on. Not sure how much trouble they had or what changes they needed to do. Looking at it though it all looks like all typical welds to me.
Love the Stinger Yellow Package! Just wish it had black rims, then I would have gotten it. I'm sure I could have ordered one but I saw my '16 Sport Black on the lot and bought it the next week. I made it 1 month exactly (around 835 miles) to the day until I changed the muffler. Flowmaster 50 Series on mine and kept the resonators for now.
The black is really nice as well! I agree with you, the chrome wheels are not my favorite. Saving the money and working down the plan. Exhaust, floor mats, level, wheels/tires (20" fuel offroad with 35" duratrac), intake, maybe flares, etc. Its like plastic surgery... when is enough really enough. Haha
did you use these tips with stock resonators? were the length of the tips too long in length for stock resonators? working on same set up but trying to find 5 inch tips with the length short enough to be welded on with stock resonators.
Yes, stock resonators are still installed. The tips are about 13" long from end to weld. On the passenger side, because of the spare, the tip goes into a reducer which is directly welded onto the resonator. On the driver side there is more room and their is pipe between reducer and resonator.
thanks for the reply. i just got the 44 but left stock tips for now. guy at the shop told me that i would have to find 5 inch tips else where for the size to adjust with the stock resonators in there.
Where your windows up or down when you filmed the after exhaust driving clips I'm still trying to decide whether to go with a 40 series delta flow or the super 44 thanks
Hi austin maye. All windows were closed.
Have you towed with anything how did that sound? Was it annoying? I’m considering this muffler but I tow frequently.
James Armstrong hi. Yes, I tow a 24’ boat with it pretty often during the summer. Crushing is fine but while getting up to speed can be a little annoying.
The_Real_iDad thanks for the reply. How does your awesome wife like the sound under weight, not to ear bothering I hope. Just prepping the sales pitch for my wife Lol.
@@jamesarmstrong9411 Its a subjective topic of course. We can still easily hear each other over the RPM's while having a conversation and I always engage tow / haul. Right after install it takes a bit of getting used to but eventually you do get used to hearing some background roar. No question, you will notice it. I also turn off MDS (see my other video for that) which for sure helps when at cruise speeds.
Sounds amazing! I want to ask you, I know its 3" center inlet but what about the dual outlet is it 2.5" or 2.25"?
Hi. Thanks! The outlet on mine are 2.5"
Besides the muffler did you add something else?? I would love to make mine sounds exactly the same.
@@ismaelcabriales1521 Nope. Just the muffler and 5" tips
Hey man sounds great where did you get your 5in tips?
I got them at the muffler shop I had put on the Super 44. Just some generic rolled tips they had in stock.
The_Real_iDad how much were the tips
Great video! I’m in the process of getting one, but my only concern is if there’s any drone when cruising?
Vince Teo Hi. Thank you. I’ve replied to other people who’ve asked the same and I’ve kind of dissected the drone question. It just depends on what people consider ‘drone’. To me it sounds like more of a hum. In my videos you can hear me talking and I am at normal volume for comparison.
The_Real_iDad okay thank you, I appreciate the reply! Fantastic looking truck btw
I have a ram but what do i need to buy just the exhaust or new pipes?
So I currently have true dual catback exhaust on my 14 ram. Lots of drone noise, esp when towing my boat. It doesn't sound good at all inside the cab, just sounds like someone with shit exhaust from the inside lol so at moderate rev, how is the drone. I like what my exhaust sounds like from the outside, just not inside and I'm looking to quiet it down a lull bit and was considering on going with this super 44. Your exhaust is basically what mine will be if I get the super 44 put on, so when you are pushing 2500-3000 rpms how is the drone noise?
1terraforce Hi. The only droning I get is right around 2100-2500 but it’s not bad. The in cab sound I hear is generally pleasant. Did your catback come with resonators? If not, I bet that could be the bad sound in cab. Check out my other video on MDS, I’m driving around and talking and you hear the in cab sound in comparison.
The_Real_iDad thanks for the info. No there are no resonators
The truck sounds amazing sir. Considering maybe doing this for my 17 Hemi 😉 One question, how is the drone at regular cruising speeds? Is the sound comparable to stock where you can cut off the radio and hear just a little bit of everything? (From the motor, to exhaust and road noise) Or is it a little more aggressive and very... “Exhausty” for lack of better term..? I have a buddy with aftermarket exhaust on his Silverado.. Sounds loud and awesome on the outside, but it’s also loud and deafening on the inside of the truck.. You practically have to yell to talk it seems. Just looking to see if this is a little more practical. That is... Until you WANT to be heard. Thanks for any input!
Eric Lindeman Hi. Glad you like the video. The interior sound parts of the video are with the windows rolled up. In the cab with the super 44 it is certainly noticeable and it is louder than stock. I have other videos where I am talking at normal volume while driving which may help. I can have conversations just fine with passengers at normal volume when cruising and accelerating. The only time I get any drone (and everyone’s options on what is and is not drone differs) is when I’m hovering around 2- 2200 rpm and at certain times when MDS is on. I turn MDS off frequently.
The_Real_iDad awesome, thanks for the response bud. Good info always helps!
nada como el súper 44 saludos desde México
Can you tell me what size and kind you got for your truck? I am getting my father a late gift...
What do you mean that you don't have no stock resonators do you have resonators or not along with the Flowmaster
Can I like the video 100 times?
My sound like the same I got 2014 ram I haven't took the resonators off tailpipe I'm thinking about it would it make it louder
I had the super 10 and had to remove it due to drone. How's the 44 series? I'm not worried about when MDS kicks in. Every one I have owned I shut that down. It's a joke.
I don't get much drone at all. I mean, you hear the exhaust for sure but is not what I would consider "drone-ish". I kept the stock resonators on though which I am sure help.
How do you shut down MDS?
Sounds ok. I've got a 2015 Hemi Ram, ya want bad ass sound, take off the mufflers, have just a straight pipe welded in place, trust me, sounds MONSTROUS. Gets EVERYONES attention.
Nice Ram.
Great video, wondering where you got those tips at?
Thank you. Called up my local muffler shop and they had a decent selection of tips. Got them from there, $40 each. These are no name 5" rolled stainless, and at 13" long you can't see the reduction or weld down to the pipe. In my opinion the 4" stock tips look cheesy from the side or angle since they are so short.
this is exactly the sound I want from my 2015. I know its the flow master super 44, other than that, what else does it have? what kinda set up is it?
Jorge Cendejas originally I was going to do the full cat back but instead just did the muffler and tips. So on my truck is the super 44 and the 5 inch tips. Cut the stock muffler out and replace the 44 and cut the stock tips off and replaced with 5 inch. The stock muffler is huge and you'll need to add some pipe to make up length. I kept the resonators on which are closest to the tailpipes.
Jorge Cendejas forgot to add. I had my local muffler shop do mine. I wasn't confident that I would get the tips centered perfectly and have it nice and solidly attached if I did it myself. Cost me $150.
Bill thanks for the info... really appreciate it! hopefully I can have mine sound exactly like yours.... thanks again!
Why do you advise against deleting the resonators ?
does it make a whooshing sound when you step on it? I have a single in single out and when I step on it let's say to pass somebody it has a loud whooshing sound coming from the muffler... mine is dumped before the axles
Joshua Carter Hi, I haven't heard anything I would consider "whooshing". I hear the rush of the engine, fan, alternator, etc. is your sound exhaust related?
respect
I did the same I knew it would be loud. That's why I kept mines. I notice your eco light kick on I put mines in 8 gear it never come on unless I stop the engine. But nice choice. Where you get the five inch tips.
im really leaning towards the 44's. The guy at fm suggested the 50 series hd. are the 44's mild enough to still be a daily driver? Like to church with the family?
Hi. Its pretty subjective. Everyone seems to have a different threshold when it comes to the daily driver. Certainly the 44 is noticeable in cab but even at high RPM when accelerating I am able to talk and hear passengers. Mine is a daily driver and I do take my family to church. I get some looks but as long as you keep it toned down and under 2500 RPM you should be fine. I don't rod it around in the parking lot. The sound did take some time to get used to. Cold starts in the garage.. its loud and it vibrates the walls in my house. My friend has a 50, he likes it. Its pretty mellow but sounds nice. It will only get to near the level of the 44 in the cab at the higher RPM range. All that said.. i can tell he's jealous of my 44.
Thanks! The guy at fm said the 50 was a direct bolt on, no welding. Plus its stainless with a lifetime warranty. But i watched a hearing test of 8 diff fm mufflers and the 44's on ur truck sounded the best. The guy at the muffler shop insist i delete the resonators. I don't think so!
Yeah. I am pretty sure if you run the 44 and delete the resonators, you will probably be "that guy" in your neighborhood. I also think you will get quite a bit of drone. The only time I get what I consider to be any kind of drone is when MDS kicks in. I plan on a new update video soon since I have had the 44 on for 14K miles now.
Kool. I'll be looking for that vid. I also have a k&n cold air intake im installing as well. They say that's gonna add a different tone in addition to the fm i choose
The_Real_iDad thanks for the video, I was undecided between the 40 series but now leaning towards the super 44 after watching your video.
I have a 2019 ram 1500 classic v6 what would you recommend the flowmaster 10 ,super 40 or super 44 its single exhaust I just want to make a lil more aggressive but not to over due it
You will never have the V8 growl in a V6. If you want it to sound aggressive go back and get a hemi. Even a strait pipe V6 wont sound like this sorry to break the bad news to you.
@@Crash-xz6hw holy shit did u figure that out urself??
Dwayne St John Someone had to do it for you, clueless.
@@dwaynestjohn5324 well I wanted an aggressive sound so I got the 5.7L hemi. Obviously you're lawn mower of a V6 isnt going to sound aggressive at all because it's a V6 regardless of what exhaust you try and put on it. Best you're going to get is the delightful droning fart sound a BMW makes. If you knew anything about cars you would have known that and not be asking how to make your V6 "a lil more aggressive" you twat.
I’ve heard it on a 6 & the super 44 will sound just as good with a 6 cyl. Engine size doesn’t matter with these mufflers.
I swore the Mechanic threw a super 44 on my 2013 RAM but after hearing yours I think I have either the super 40 or regular 40 cuz it's definitely not as deep as yours. pretty disappointing but your right bro Got Dam it sounds sexy!!
hi. you have a very beautiful truck. I love the yellow colour too. wats your 0 to 60 time in that truck? do you mind making a video?
thanks
TAIMOOR T the Hemi is 7 seconds to 60 stock
I recently saw your video and went with the Super44 on my 2012 Ram 1500. Had the muffler shop weld mine into place and replace the tips with 5 inch as well which are super sexy. I will say the first week or two the muffler was very aggressive and loud but after having for nearly 2 months it has toned down tremendously and is nice on the low RPM range but really wakes up when you give it some! Thanks for the inspiration. Hope you don't mind I copied you pretty much. Love your Truck BTW!
Jessie Lee hey, that's awesome! I'm glad the video was helpful to you. Did your mileage go down (like mine did) because you can't help but rod it? Haha.
Bill, Well to be honest I also put a K&N CAI and a Diablo Trintiy tuner on the truck so I actually can not STOP hot rodding the truck since then! lol Which does really suck down the fuel mileage, but it is so much more fun to drive now! I love my Ram!
Sounds good! I have a 2016 Stinger Yellow as well....I call her the War Ram....I need to upload the before and after with my Borla with 5 in. tips...I'll post a link to my page...I got got rid of resonators and all!
I have my 2014 ram for two years and last year I put the super 44 on if I didn't take the resonator off do it sound better with the 5-inch tips in the resonator some thinking about getting bigger tips I got stock the craziest thing when I'm driving on thedriver side I don't hear the muffled as much but my wife drives and I'm sitting on the passenger sideI can hear the muffler real good
Long tube stainless headers and delete cats. Leave everything else alone. Still quiet, but a noticeable power gain without the drone!
How’s the drone?
That drone at the very end of the video, that's your MDS kicking in. Maybe you knew that but my 2006 Dodge 1500 does the exact same thing. The the sound is 100% identical as well. I have both of my resonators deleted
Yep, you are spot on. I usually turn off MDS using the max gear method and I make a vid on it. Not sure what model years are applicable, seems 2016 and up based on conversations I've had. czcams.com/video/LL9GgClbeFE/video.html
Hey Bill did you get the one inlet with two outlets or did you go with two super 44
Jesus Gonzalez Hi. My is single in and dual out.
I have the AP VX series on my 2018 rebel and no drone, of course mds kicks in there is.
I have the Flowmaster Super 44 as well. I have a 2017 Ram Rebel with 5.7L HEMI V8 and it sounds perfect. It has the right amount of deep bass, throaty, and roars when revved. At the same time, its not annoying loud where it will piss off neighbors. And, I also did not delete resonators.
Great comment! the super 44 is excellent.
Any performance increase and does it have any popping noise on fast acceleration?...sounds great
What kind of 5inch tips are they ? Thanks
Hey there! I love the sound, love the truck. From one yellow stinger fan and owner to another. I was wondering if you'd be able to send me a link or put a link in your description showing EXACTLY what kit you bought. I wanna be sure I'm getting the right stuff because that's the sound I want :) thanks in advance ! And thank you for your videos ! The MDS disengage video helped me too.
Hi. Thanks for the comment. I cannot recall what part number super 44 it is. This is not a catback system. I bought the muffler and had my local shop do the swap out. They had to add some pipe since the stock muffler is very long. The tips I bought at the muffler shop and just some no name stainless tips. It's nice and secure on the hangers, nicely welded, it's just better when you have a shop do it. Left the stock resonators on which are right in front of the tips.
Alright perfect ! Thank you for taking the time to reply.
Oh sure, no problem. Post a vid when you get it done. Would like to hear it :)
Will do !
I was supposed to have the flowmaster installed today but the appointment has been moved to tomorrow, but I was reminded about the MDS noise when the engine cuts down 4 cylinders and how that noise it makes when in 4 cylinders would be amplified aswell, how was it for you?? Does it bother you or it's not that bad. Either way I'm going to have it installed because I have already purchased the flowmaster but I'm curious.
Will this be quieter than straight piped I had my muffler removed on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 L and it’s way to loud! But sounds good.
Oh sure, much quieter than straight pipes. You'll love the tone.
I have the 44s and deleted resonators. The drone is the worse part. Watching this video it seems even with stock resonators there's interior drone. I have a Hemi 5.7. I may install back my stock resonators or order flowmasters resonators for this application. But I love the hollow chambered sound and don't want to lose that. Decisions.
RealEstate INsider I heard the 50 series helps a lot with drone
If that thing was a single cab with that same setup, I’d daily
Installed a Spintech Super Pro 9000 best sound in my opinion and disabled MDS with tuner
I want the Super 44 too, I have the 2017 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7L And stock muffler ain’t cutting it! Would this size fit mine?
Hi, it should fit. And your Laramie is going to sound awesome.
I swear by the super 44, its been on my jeep wj ho 4 6years now and counting, to those who question the annoying drone or the loudness then I advise you to shop for a nice quiet V6, driving around daily the 44 is quiet and has a great tone especially on idle, some people think im running a hemi, the look when I tell them its just a little Chrysler engine bud
Do you keep the resonator or delete it?
@@paullee4014 Keep your rear resonators on. Unless you want an unbearably load sounding truck....
I see some Colorado temp plates 🤔 greetings from Littleton 🤙
How would this sound with longtubes would it raspy
The exhaust you put on, is it a 3" center inlet with the 2.5" dual outlet?
KingOdie98 yes
Which one is louder with resonator or without resonator? Educate me please ty.
Von Jeric Torre without is louder
its been year or so with your exhaust, I wanted to know now that you've driven around with it quite a bit does it still sound good? does it get annoying? really looking into getting the same exhaust system and before I do I would just like to know
Juancarlos Garcia Hi. Good question. It’s been 16 months and about 23000 miles since this video. The exhaust still sounds great, deep rumble and a rich roar. I’m planning an update video soon on the exhaust and changes to the truck for the die hard subscribers I get messages from. As for it getting annoying, it does happen occasionally depending on the circumstances. The sound can and does turn heads and sometimes I’d rather be inconspicuous. It’s way more good than bad though. To this day I still look for people in Honda’s with an open window and roar on past giggling a bit.
ya the resonators make all the difference ,but still sound like a race car with em on ...
I was really stuck on super 44 or 40 series I want a nice deep rumble wasn’t sure which one would be the best
Can't go wrong either way. The super 44 will be just a bit more loud. All just my opinion of course.
Do you think you could link where u got this exhaust thank you
Link also please or model number of muffler
How was the sound affected by leaving the resonators? What's the benefit or advantage?
Hi! The purpose of a resonator is to cancel out a certain range of sound frequencies. The ranges that are cancelled out are those that are considered not pleasant to hear so the resonator eliminates that frequency. Noises that are canceled are the harsh noises or ranges where the exhaust note would be a loud droning or buzz. Outside the cab, the drone sound is mixed with the rest of the frequencies and not a big deal. However, INSIDE the cab, these frequencies can be a constant annoyance. Overall, its personal preferences. I prefer to not have that 'noise' in the cab.
@@w3bexec Oh. Ok. So basically the resonator also eliminates the drone you would hear in the cab then. Right? I have an 07 ram 1500. I want to put a super 44 delta series (flowmaster) on it. I saw a video that showed some small resonators on each exhaust. Mine comes with the one big bulky resonator and the single stock exhaust. So to avoid the drone in the cab I should leave the resonator in and then install the muffler right?
(The flowmaster is one inlet and two outlets.)
@@isaiah6131 Hi. I'm not familiar with your model at all but my gut says yes, leave it on. If it is not enough exhaust tone for you then its simple enough to remove the resonator. Just cut out and replace with straight pipe.
@@w3bexec thanks
@@w3bexec I was wondering if it's a 2 in 2 out since it's dual exhaust planning on doing the same to mine sounds great
When I was watching this the old dodge truck passed my house. A diesel very loud and it whistles
Wow
Is it an offset 3" and 2.5" dual out? or centered 3" and 2.5" out?
mustangcobra1789 Hi. It is a centered 3 and 2.5 dual out.
Sliding under my 17, it looks like I should buy an offset in/dual out. Did you have to bend pipe to use center in?
Is this just the muffler swap or is it a full exhaust swap?
Hi. This is a muffler swap and tip swap. Except for a piece of pipe to make up for the length of the stock muffler (you'd think it comes off a bus) the pipes are stock.
you shouldve heard the super 10 I had on my ram 1500... it was CRAZY
Cisco Blank Super 10 series are too aggressive i have the outlaw on my 16 ram 1500 and it's too aggressive sounds like shit at times
Ryan Feeheley I got the 40 series with the resonators deleted on my 2012 Ram love it. Drones a little but not bad.
Cisco Blank The Super 10 sounds very manly with that awesome growl. “Tampon Boy’s love that soft mild Fudge packing sound. Lol
It seems a lot of people can not tell the difference between "then" and "than", "their" and "they are". LOL
