I honestly think we will see it come back, as well as other games in this style like Tetris 99. Sadly it will be part of a official release as a compilation you will have to pay for.

Holy Hell, we (fiancee and I) didn't know about this existed at all. We have been playing our Series X and PS5 *physical like crazy since they launched. When I get home tonight I'm playing the Hell out of this and I'm damn good at Super Mario Brothers. I grew up playing it as a kid...so here I come. ;)

I don't think I've ever seen anyone skip the coin vault in 1-2 unless they were seconds from death, pro players try to get 1-2 as often as possible to grind for money and also to use the warp zone to skip ahead in the level queue.

Have you ever had the experience when it's down to one or two other players who don't make any mistakes. It's like when Laforce shows up in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. "Who are those guys?!" Even when I lose to them, I feel like Rocky: I was better than I thought I was to last so long against them.
God I hope they don't take it away from us. I've played it probably 20 times since the start. I've had a handful of wins. I just want it to continue like tetris 99. I played a lot more of mario than tetris. Please keep it going nintendo

For the most coins, you shouldn't use an item when selecting a course. If you start without, your coin count is doubled at the end.

I've played almost 8 hours and have 4 wins. It would be easier if I had a pro controller and didn't choke as often. I also have a switch lite so it's pretty much I'm stuck with joycons...The amount of wins I've thrown is crazy. The controls are definitely better to me then original in the aspect that they're tight. Definitely sad that it will be gone.
4 wins, that's awesome! Pro controller is a must in my opinion, it's tough to play retro Mario with an analog stick...

I'm hoping Nintendo releases a "full" version of this with extra options, play modes, etc. and sells it. I'd spend $60 on that.
It would most definitely need more features for $60 in my opinion. Wonder if they ever considered a Battle Pass type of deal... I love unlockables

It’s really too bad they are getting rid of this game, it’s repetitive but I think with an update they could make it better. Maybe change the way they select courses or add a no repeats until all stages are cleared. Also You missed the star in 3-2 . You passed it up and then said “I need a star” and it drove me insane.
I dont see why they are taking it away. Just leave it up loads of people play it.

I only watched a few minutes of this video and I still don't know what the hell is going on, or what this game is, where it came from and why Nintendo made it unavailable, it looks fun but what's the goal?? Can someone explain what this game once was? Kinda looks like something that someone would make in a Mario Maker game.

I've seen you play man, you kick ass! A lot of my losses were from passing the controller around playin this with the fam, otherwise 99% of the time I'm 2nd and my brain turns to mush cause the 1v1 battle goes on so long. Those damn ★★ jerks!
@@itsgruz Haha, I hear that man. I binged it for about a month straight when it came out. Total breath of fresh air when I first played it. I don't think I'd do as well now because I haven't played more than a few times these last few months and there have been a lot of (impressive) exploits found to basically play forever. They are very hard to do, but those double starred Japanese players seem to be able to pull them off with ease. Impressive stuff to see! I'm sad they're going to be taking it offline shortly. I'll definitely have to do another session or two with it this week or the next.

Insured I will not buy a switch with these awful practices. Artificial scarcity, digital scarcity, etc. They killed Mario Royale only to kill this too. At least they announced their intentions. I said if they did not shut it down I'd buy a switch that day. Fuck em.

It's really dumb they got rid of this game, Nintendo is so stupid sometimes, they could have just left it alone, but noOoOoOoO, they have to shut it off like dumb butts so we can't play it.
