Thanks for playing this! It's always interesting to see peoples' experiences with the lua script. As for the warp to World 2-1, you were actually pretty lucky on the first warp you took. Warp Zones, no matter what pipe you enter, take you to a random world. Any world from 1-8, which I thought added to the uncertainty of things, making it more "chaos".
I did hope you had some bit of fun with it, though!

@@urkelheimer You would need a computer for it, yeah, cuz the lua script runs on a certain NES emulator.

check simpleflips...he does entire competitions...of course they are for super mario 64...but that games chaos edition is quite hilarious too

It might be worth making a comment here again for this, but there's been a few updates since this video! Some improvements were made to SMB1 Chaos Edition, with a few more variants of existing events. (Like music being able to slow down too, instead of just constantly being fast, and the random warp zones being visible)
It also adds a version of Chaos Edition for SMB2J as well in the download, which has its own little differences, too! I hope you can check it out again at some point!

@Gruz: Even though the goomba looks like bowser you can still jump on theme because they keep the original hit box, the reason jumping on it did not work, the chaos editon change it to full water level, plus swiming. If you see bubble comeing out of mario that mean you can no longer jump on jumpable enemies, and neither open ? block, and neither brake bricks even as Super mario even if Mario swiming his turn off. If Mario swim without the bubble coming out of mario, he can still jump on jump able enemies, and open ? mark block break brick as Super mario, or higher power-up.

Yes, you can jump over the flagpole in SMB1, and run infinitely from behind the castle. Thing is, the reason the end screen of a level in this game works at all, is because Nintendo hid a brick block as one of the tiles used for the castle graphics, thereby stopping Mario from running through the endless background walls that are behind the castle. You somehow break that block, and Mario will walk past the castle even if you touched the flagpole
This could pass off as an ASMR

I really like you Gruz and this was a nifty challenge but I notice you always take the 1-2 skip in pretty much every video.
I'd like to see you going to the rest of the normal stages in the game besides just the speedrun route, especially in videos where you're showing off game genie and I feel like it applies for this chaos mode too.
It was really awesome when the game forced you in to 2-1 hahaha and you were yeeted into the pipe for 1-3 later... I was really happy!!!

So, I've tried to run the script several times with no success, the only thing that happens is Mario flickers, but it's not really working, it doesn't even show the menu screen legend. Anybody knows it's I should use an specific version of the rom or something?
