2.5 years off nicotine, 5 months off Alcohol, and beginning to question my relationship with Cannabis. Blessings to everyone.
Everyone is different but in my opinion I think I can quit nicotine while still smoking weed occasionally, it’s actually easier for me to not hit nic when I’m high and I get a more relaxed mindset about it
@@DumbldorWizzard Absolutely, it played a huge roll in my success in quiting. Instead of going to the vape shop for a "puff bar" (remember those?) I'd pickup a Delta 8 vape or some shit.
@@jakethasnake3524how did you stop nicotine?
@@AliKhan-wh1rg I recommend the book "the easy way to quit smoking by Alan Carr" and that you consider a talk therapist to help with the mental withdrawals.
@@DumbldorWizzardyou're not there yet. I thought the same as you and I totally love weed. Fortunately, I moved abroad where weed is very expensive so I stopped it... Rn I'm going through nicotine withdrawals and I think weed is also equally pointless.
I’m up to 6 weeks with no nicotine thc and 2 weeks no alcohol I’m still fighting through my mind and body trying to convince me that I need it but keep telling myself that I don’t and I’m sticking to staying sober. I keep trying to tell myself a year from now I’ll feel great and I’ll look back and just smile and realized it was worth it my life is worth it. Thank you for the content and reassurance
you got this!!!!!
My wake up moment was a few weeks ago when my dad survived a major heart attack in his early 60s. I’ve always been health conscious about my diet and exercise. However, after serving in the US Army for 9 years, I picked up smoking and eventually switched over to vaping. After a good look at how I can improve my own health decisions, I decided to throw out the nicotine for good after over 6 years of use. I’m going on two weeks nicotine free and I have to say, it’s been very liberating and after the first few days, I’m not even getting the cravings. To anyone else battling it, I believe in you ❤️
I’ve watched a lot of your videos over the year out of curiosity but this is the only one I could relate too I think. Actually have my attention now and I’m going to check this book out. I’ve been telling myself that I know I don’t need to quit and that nothing will probably force me to stop unless I want too. This video reassures thoughts thoughts I had. Thank you
it's very simple. You have to go cold turkey and realize your brain is rewiring itself. Have a craving? Do an activity. It will help the rewiring. You will learn to do things you used to do without the nicotine again and the anxiety will decrease in the long term.
I feel like the worst part is that after your finished with your first vape, you probably haven't been actually buzzed since your first vape. Like at this point your not even doing it for the buzz your doing it and you don't even know why.
I've had that same thought of dip, I literally don't remember the last time I got a buzz from dipping had to have been at least 12 years ago. I was just like what is the point? Sometimes I don't even enjoy the taste anymore
i literally didn't even like the buzz. I just liked the taste, and the oral fixation. which is why it was so stupid that those things made me think i should be addicted to nicotine lmao. welp, day 6 here i go
best content i've come across in this field. thank you 🙏🏻
Listening to you list off all of the minor inconveniences involved with maintaining the addiction and realizing I do those exact things is a huge reality check. I just threw my last vape away and will be quitting. I’m nervous but ready to be free from this. Thank you!
you got this bro, it’s all in the mindset
The first 3-4 full days of no nicotine sucks but if you get through that you will feel like it’s easy
how’s it going???
@@SoloDoloh great don’t even get urges anymore
@@Jaiden181 awesome. i’m on day 3 cold turkey, it’s not bad at all physically. just feel like i have a bit of brain fog, that’s all. The only part that’s tough is going to the gym. I thought if i started working out more it’d help me get my mind off it, but the vape shop is right next to it so every time i go to the gym i get reminded of it 😭
I used to believe in "addiction" until I quit smoking cigarettes & weed after 35 years, then I realized it was just a "choice" ... clean 6 years. The only thing that helped with cravings was MOVE!!
Hardest was having to learn to drive without smoking. It gets easier. Weed withdrawals was HELL.
Love this, and I fully agree.
Movement is so important. I should make a full video on that
@AddictionMindset movement is the real to recovery in my experience
I hope I can quit chewing tobacco like you congrats
@@robertrob3399 cold turkey!
Really? I've smoked weed everyday for 10 months ans now I've been without it for almost a month no problem. Vaping on the other hand has been really hard to quit. Its day 3 for me and my brain is screaming for nicotine!!!
Great video bro!
I just wanted to thank you for your videos. I quit smoking tobacco 10 days ago and today after doing some deep thinking about my inner feelings and thoughts I’ve realized that have 0 withdrawal symptoms and 0 want to smoke whatsoever. At this point I truly believe I’ve kicked the habit and now have the willpower to never smoke again. because of your videos and most importantly your words I had the knowledge about symptoms and withdrawal the strength and the motivation to get through the hellish first 3 days that normally would best me to a pulp ending with me smoking again. You’re doing amazing work and I am a testament that your videos work for people. Keep up the amazing work you modern day saint!!!

thank you, i was encorouged by your channel to quit and watch your videos to stay calm
Absolutely brilliant analysis, & wonderfully clear presentation.. I am not a user of nicotine or any drug but will forward to those whose health is impared by it. Thankyou so much.
My husband died from alcohol abuse after having mouth cancer through drink and smoking. I've given up smoking weed.
I can't believe how relatable this was. Day 2 of no nicotine. Threw away my vape yesterday morning. Hadn't bought any new pods in a week but up until yesterday had been getting every last drop out of my existing ones. Everything you said I was able to relate to and it helps to know I'm not alone in any of it.
I threw away like fu3king 5 or even more vapes and will always buy another at some point
Vapes are way harder to quit. Ive quit smoking a few times but the vapes i cant do it. They're too cheap taste nice. And i really feel way more breathless on them. I hate these dam things
@@monopolybillionaire5027 Man after the first 4-5 days, it really does become a lot less jarring compared to the first day. Instead of actively thinking of it as bad, try to actively move away from the thoughts and impulses of nicotine altogether. Never let yourself believe that the quitting process is insignificant or that it ~should~ be easy.
This is spot on.
so helpful on my journey tysm☮
I smoked constantly for 9 years vaped constantly for over 3 years. And have been in pain for the last 7 years. Constant bladder pain issue abdominal pain issues. I’ve come to the realization the only way to stop the pain is to stop everything!!!! I just quit already feel a ton better and I’m not going back!!!!!
This is very helpful
One of the best channels on addiction, really love your content. used to take IQOS and already free for almost a month, challenging but doable.
Do you have any information on heat not burn product? like IQOS etc? I really want to know how damaging this is in order to keep going. perhaps you can make a video on it.
Many thanks!!!
Happy to make more content on this. I will say this if a person must use nicotine I typically recommend nicotine salt pouches like ZYN. That in my opinion is your best form of harm reduction with regard to quitting smoking or quitting any inhaled form of nicotine
I am going to start watching you when I have a craving
Started with the gum and moved on to the vape. Threw my vape out 2 days ago. No real urges. I never have urges unless something stressful happens. So now I need to not jump on it in those situations. Made me feel like sht.
The good thing is I’ve only been using it on and off for 5 months. This time I want to make it permanent and the first step was admitting to myself I’m addicted to it and doing it here and there is not possible.
Thank you for this. I relapsed very recently and I’m now planning to quit again.
Don't be a baby and Quit
I went three years without it, relapsed two months ago and it’s waaaay stronger this time.. I’m quitting with you, let’s do this
I don’t think there’s an issue with doing it every once in a while. The problem is doing it nonstop every day. I’m on day 4 without nicotine. I don’t plan on never doing it again though. It’s just not an everyday thing for me anymore.
I quit vaping in October and stopped smoking 3 years ago. This week has been so weird i have never wanted to smoke so badly 😢. I've even enjoyed smelling cigarettes from other vehicles in traffic jams. I'm glad I found your channel because I quit thc tomorrow morning 🎉❤

I am 6 days into quitting nicotine cold turkey and I have had no prolapse… hopefully I’ll stay strong.

I don’t feel like I need weed tho now but every time I get done with a cig now after 15 min my stomach hurts
Welll just prayed for my self that I quit nic I just had my last cig about 20 min ago I can do this already getting and craving
Ive been sober 4 years. 7 days no thc, 5 days no nicotine. im still mentally withdrawing from the nicotine, but its getting easier. thank you.

I'm getting help for this on my phone.
You have too overload the system with a NRT product like lozenges, but you must do more or equal the amount of nicotine from vapes, cigs etc
Been 2 months off nicotine and tabaco now drinking just turned 21 and smoking marry Jane love life

If they started smoking when they was 10. And smoked for 25 or 29 years. Or smoked 30 or 40 cigarettes a day. What they say about quitting smoking by age 40. Might not still go for them
4 days clean from weed edible . I’m tired of using the patch and gum. The patch makes me bug super hard
The gum and lozenges . Are very shit when you have gum and dental problems.
I'm 28 days no nicotine but I accidentally got addicted to chewing gum. update: I went to the dentist and they told me I wrecked my gumline.
Sugar gum or tabaco gum?
Well, you are 28 going on 29 days no nic. That's awesome!
I have been smoking for 25 years. My lungs hurt everyday and more than likely I will have a heart attack. I'm only 40.
Quit smoking 5 years ago. Wasnt so hars.. But 2 years ago i started taking nicotine pouches. After 3 months i was already on the strongest in the market. 25-30mg nicotine/pouch.. Quitting nicotine pouches for me is much harder😢
Im turning 17, been addicted to nicotine for less than a year and a half. I quit for three weeks but a bad day happend and I relapsed, this happend around 13th of March. I've been trying to quit again and again but somehow I just continue to relapse cuz of the withdrawals, but I just know I'm gonna quit one way or another.
keep trying. you got this! I went from 3 days to 10, to 15 to 30 and now 4 months deep.

I did Grizzly for 10yr. Smoked cigars too. I quit. The best thing was how far I could shoot a clothesline after I quit. Before I jus dripped.
Stopped smoking a month ago after years of smoking a pack a day. What I miss is the communication while smoking with my buddies. I know it sounds stupid, but something about having a chat with a cig hits different
😂
Yo I feel you bro but for me I think the best feeling is chatting with a disposable vape with someone but the number one feeling has to be when you sneak a hit of a vape in a bathroom somewhere it gives me a huge buzz
@@VerzyWars have you gotten a nicotine withdrawal from vaping before ?
@@alexissanchez3009 well as of right now the last time I smoked any vape or cig products or any type of nicotine was since November of last year 2022 and I can’t really remember any types of withdrawals except extreme hunger at certain times where I would just eat non stop and be hungry not even a hour later. I would also be irritable sometimes toward certain people I think is a possible withdrawal more then usual. Hunger tho is a definite sign
@@VerzyWars so you been clean from nicotine don’t lie man 😂
im just so tired of being at work or anywhere and running to the bathroom every 30 minutes to vape, and getting irritated when the bathroom stals are being used and say "im just a nervous pee-er i cant pee around people" when really i just want to hit my vape, im going to try out nicotine patches tomarrow i really hope they help, i feel like i cant quit because of my job, i feel like i could do it at home without any stressor but if i were to withdraw at work id for sure relapse, i hate how short it lasts its such a terrible addiction, partly because nicotines effects are so short lived and you constantly need to run back for more.
I used to be in the same situation but I was able to quitted cold turkey.
Quit vaping about a week ago!
Big big props
I quit smoking weed 2 days ago but now I’m stuck on the nic I need your help got any tips because I’m trying man but that nic grab me by the ball so has tho elf bars past 5 years
I be getting tired of the flavors n I throw them smh
I’m 2 days without Zynning. I have been going through 6 packs a week for two years. I can tell you this isn’t fun, but it’s not horrible. I’m hoping they stop being so bad on day 3. Any advice guys?
Hey mate, cravings are bad for the first 3-5 days but after that you really start to forget about it and get back to being fully present in day to day life. Just try and keep yourself busy and avoid stressful situations for the first month as that stress will cause you to want to relapse as a coping mechanism. I've been clean for 80 days and I've very rarely thought about nicotine unless I'm in an extremely stressful situation. Be careful with alcohol as well as I started to drink more beer as a 'replacement' for a couple of weeks but it's a slippery slope so just be careful and don't substitute the 'addiction' with other substances. Now I'm at a point where I think back to my nicotine addiction and can appreciate how it made me feel but I don't desire to buy some as I can recognise how much it was destroying my life. Good luck
Idk what shit they put in zyn, but the withdrawls have been bad
Them late night stomach cramps were brutal lol. I’m on day 4 now. The cramps are gone but man those sucked. Kept waking up at like 3 or 4 am for the first 2 days with the worst cramps lol. I’ve only been doing them for about 7 or 8 months. I can’t imagine what someone who has been using them for years would go through.
I started because im terrified of Dementia/Alzheimers.
Im three days into stopping using nicotine pouches, a habit of 5 years. I feel over it now tho, there is no better time to quit than today. Reply to this comment in like three months and I will update. I promise i still will be going.
Did you have any withdrawal symptoms
Update please
How many addictions have you had? Weed, tobacco and alcohol too? Just interested to know
My primary issues were weed, nicotine, adult media and energy drinks. I am making a video about alcohol soon, was never addicted but my relationship with it was not good. I will say that
@@AddictionMindset My husband died from alcohol abuse and tobacco consumption. These addictions are a curse
I went about 5 hours without using my vape after I had thrown it away. I felt so dizzy, my heart was beating fast, and I was craving it like crazy.. I ended up ordering a new one. I feel so disappointed and so sad. I tried to quit many times before, no luck so far. What makes it worst is that I don’t have anyone I can talk to about this.
Not sure if you’re still battling with this but I know that feeling, I’ve quit more times than I can remember just to go back within a couple days, for some reason this time is different I’m a week free from nicotine although I felt sick as hell, most of this week, it’s been all the more reason to quit and stay quit, it’s all in your head. For me personally it was the fact that I’ve told myself I’d quit a million times and i would always cave in, vaped since 2018 daily. You gotta be tired of it enough. If you’re not tired of it you won’t quit for good, but if you really wanna take care of yourself you know it’s best to quit. So quit. I wish you as much luck as I’m having
@thewildwestpimp your right I was vaping for so long untill one day I threw up hitting a vape that was empty from that day on never touched a vape

I don't think I'm addicted to nicotine, but to this chemistry cocktail in finished cigarettes, pure tobacco has almost no effect on me, it just increases the pressure for a "normal" cigarette, Who knows, maybe I'm addicted to some special radioactive waste that is only in industrially manufactured cigarettes...devil's stuff..
Same,I went from cigs to vaping, still getting the nicotine but still had big withdrawals from the cigs.I think it's the chemicals I'm the cigs that's more addicting.
Yes, the other chemicals are in there so that the nicotine (concentrated chemical from big corp's tobacco plants that have been genetically engineered to be stronger already) works faster and harder.
Watching this when I’m trying to quit is not helping it just makes me want to hit a vape more lol

Real facts
why quit nicotine?
it’s bad for the brain, decreases your quality & length of your life
From my experience. It’s expensive. You don’t actually need it. And its super inconvenient. Causing more stress and anxiety. Also the effects of nicotine on the body are mostly negative. Higher blood pressure higher risk of diabetes and heart disease. It also stopped having any affect on me because i was sooo addicted. So then you need it just to feel normal. Its terrible and not worth the money or time for the 1 min buzz. Take care of your body you only have one.
Why be some substance's bitch?
Nicotine should be outlawed.
Why should it be outlawed just because you can’t handle it?
This guy is so over dramatic
I disagree that most nicotine addicts have money to spend. Statistically speaking people that use tobacco are in the bottom 50% of the financial bell curve. These people will buy cigarettes instead of food. I’ve seen it all the time in low socioeconomic neighborhoods
When you have great friends who loves you and really wants you to quit smoking then it becomes so much easier to quit it 🫶🍀
