46 year nicotine addiction.. Carton per week. I am on day 23 of being 100% smoke free. Cold Turkey.. I am taking it day by day.. Day 3 & 4 were the hardest for sure. I cried alot. I've cried often the past 23 days. As strange as it sounds Cigs were my friends. Always calmed me down.. So I thought.. Trying very hard to not over think anything and just riding out the crave wave when it washes over me.. I wish us all good luck on this very hard journey and may we all come out on the other end healthy, happy and with a bunch more money in our pockets.
Good luck Christine! 35 years of nicotine addiction here...I have tried to quit three times this year. Now it's my fourth attempt: I am not proud of that, but I don't feel guilty either: it is my own journey, and it's not a linear one. This is my day 3 of my fourth attempt...it's really tough, though I go one craving at a time (like you are doing). Motivation is at its highest and I am really trying to keep it that way... I am back at the gym now and planning on buying a bike :)
This is my First Day .🥇

After 50 years of smoking I finally stop. It is great feeling.
After 13 years of smoking.... I decided to quit smoking.... This is my 7th day ...and i feel good actually...
Update ?
Today is the day. I’m going to do this. The more I smoke nicotine the less I can eat and it’s gotten to a detrimental place in my health. Wish me luck. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.
You got this David, you're stronger than you know
They go away!!! It’s crazy that this information is not easier to find on the internet. I’ve been free for close to three months and I can’t even remember the last time I had a craving. S/o to everyone who quits or tries to quit.
8 year addiction, 23rd day nicotine free. It's starting to feel like I never had the habit. I still come back to this channel to reinforce my mindset. Thank You Doc. Keep reaching out to people so they also can break the habit and improve their quality of life.
He can break his 8 years addiction i can also break my 2 years addiction of nicotine
@@Haszer3.3Hey man, I hope you're doing fine in your journey now. I've been addicted for one year and I think the same way. Right now I'm having my last puffs and hope to be able to quit for good starting tomorrow. 👊
7 years since a kid and I cut it out cold turkey found out my woman’s pregnant and i changed overnight🙏🏽
14 year old nicotine addict here, I honestly don’t know what i would have done without your CZcams channel. I used to think the idea of quitting was so impossible and unrealistic and now you got me at the point where I think im gonna throw away the vapes today. It’s been 2 years I don’t need it to go on another one. Great video frank!
Heck yes!! Thanks for all the kind words. I am thrilled to hear this channel is offering the help you need.
Do it. Your at the age where its not as hardset in your routine. Its not worth it. Take it from someone who started at your age and is almost 30 now. You dont need the extra headaches that come with any sort of habit or addiction. Avoid them at all costs. I wish i did.
How you doing?
You should be in school kid! I dont knoe where u r from but im sure 14 is not a legal age for smoking/vaping
You aren’t old enough to be addicted. You have a habit not an addiction you’re 14 😂
Nicotine is so damn hard to quit, especially being sober from everything because it's my last vice. It's also acceptable in AA and recovery circles. However, the way I look at it is what's the point of being sober and then slowly killing myself and being addicted to nicotine. I don't want to feel like a slave to nicotine any longer. It's a beast of addiction. I've quit so many times, once for 6 months, but somehow manage to go back. This time around, I'm 17 days in and am having bad cravings. I'm not going to crack.
you got this!!!!
How’s it going
Osmar Castillo going well! I made it a month and a half and ended up smoking some cigars on vacation, but am now 3 days off nicotine again. However, smoking cigars doesn’t cause the same kind of cravings that come from pouches or vaping, which is weird. I haven’t really been craving any nicotine at all. I think if I say I’ll smoke a cigar occasionally, that’s not bad. I’d rather smoke a cigar once or twice a month if that, then chain vape all day long.
@@hitech0202 I struggle with chain vaping I’ll take 5 hits in a row then be like ok I’m done but then take 3 more it’s bad
@@hitech0202 I am going to share my piece of encouragement with you
Quiting Nicotine may seem hard, and many people can't do it. But if you do quit, you have just unlocked god tier discipline. And because people say its difficult and I DID IT, means that I am capable of achieving whats difficult to others.
So keep going. Unlock the discipline, better immune system, work ethic, motivation, save the money, clean the lungs. Remember the benefits and its easier. Find a positive escape. Like your favorite music, or sport.. I offer you this wisom aang
Im on day three with not smoking cigs. Im 36, started smoking when i was 15. I used to think i would never be able to quit, but i changed my mind set and im doing it. Best of luck to everyone out there choosing to do things different. Thanks for your videos

Rooting for you! Would love an update….
Been an vape and weed smoker for roughly 6 years starting at age 17-18. About to turn 24 and decided ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I recently quit smoking weed about 2-3 weeks and realized that only the first day was the hardest even though my mind was telling me that awful craving would last longer. I still have a small craving for weed but very manageable!!! I plan to officially make today the first day to choose to stop smoking my vape and hope others can gain something from my message. Thank you for helping me strengthen my decision to end a BAD HABIT! The Lord will provide courage and strength when we genuinely seek for it! Excited to embark a new journey for myself and hope to make my future self proud! 🎉
4 year addiction… Day 4 cold turkey… it’s hard but I remind myself everyday that I am in control and I want to live a somber life for me and my kids. They deserve the time that I have given to nicotine.
Are u still cold turkey or back on it
8 days no vaping, the struggle is real! Super thankful for these videos :-)
Stick with it, it will be well worth it. I stopped drinking alcohol and my desire for nicotine dropped drastically....Just a suggestion.
That's good to hear! I hope that now it's been 10 months without it! (Your comment is ten months old). I'm trying to quit too, this time for good. 👊
From my experience i could go 8-10 hours without cravings getting in my way. The key was to keep myself busy. (studying, working on my car, my computer)
It’s legit as simple as doing something else!
Being busy makes my cravings worse. Day one, laying in bed, watching safe content, trying to keep calm. Tomorrow I have to work. This scares me when I think about it. I'll try work slow, thank god I don't have to do a lot. My first days I will try to stay as peacefull as I can
Awesome!!!! I had a huge craving today , heart raced for a few seconds but I refused and kept saying “ it’ll kill you, don’t do it” after a minute everything calmed down
how long were you off nicotine at that point? and are you still off them?
Everyone embarking on this journey, you will be tested and stay strong. I found it ironic that when I decide to quit nicotine my buddies invite me to a hookah bar, or when I am a few days clean and all of a sudden I find a disposable vape in my backpack(when it literally wasn't there before!) or when I'm out in public and I see a guy blowing a cloud on the sidewalk. Maybe you just notice it more when you crave it more... But I also think its a higher power at work, testing you, maybe wanting you to fail, almost expecting it. Stay strong, What gets me through the first few days is the statement "Literally JUST DON'T DO IT", you just don't it. Boom addiction gone. But what helps me keep that strength up over time, remembering the amazing benefits of quitting. Remembering the lowered cancer risk, healthy lungs, healthier heart, more discipline, etc.
Oh and also realize how Disgusting it is.... All those chemicals, nothing cool about it. Realize how dumb, disgusting and unhealthy not to mention expensive it is
You need to learn to HATE vaping. Thats the only for sure way you won't relapse.
If you still have mixed feeling towards your old friend you're going to fail and do it again. If you still think vaping taste good or you enjoyed that old buzz it gave you will fail
Hate it
Thats what helped me quit and I hope it helps you
:) need help, comment below
Bro I think you’re ok to something. I just had another lapse and it feels so dumb…. It takes up so much of my mental energy beating myself up for it. I remember getting through the first few days and just telling myself ‘NO, it’s not happening’ every time I had an urge, that worked for me…. But now I find myself vaping again…. I know all the reasons why I shouldn’t but I manage to find an excuse every time…. Any thoughts?
So true
I’m about to quit vaping after like 4 years non stop. I was addicted to weed for about 4 years too but I successfully stopped by keeping myself busy. My game plan is to quit vaping and start gym at the same time and workout twice a day every day to keep myself busy and exhausted. Is this a good game plan? Please let me know
I’ve quit before like 3 times and just now this very moment I’m going back at it again. You’re absolutely right, what I did to remind myself not to do it was the coughing and hacking and phlegm. And once that was over with I became more productive, my mood improved, and I was just all around happier and more free. Wish me luck! I am committing to this
God is testing us, this whole life is a test, try this whenever you tell yourself you’re stopping something, you’ll notice how that particular thing will randomly come your way

Finding that moment after or meal or a drink where you still reach for your vape that isnt there, and there is a moment of disappointment... but it passes in seconds! And i put a piece of gum in my mouth or a mint instead and go on about my day.
Thank-you for all of your inspiring videos!!! I will keep watching them for the next year to stay strong.
I'm so glad to have found your channel. I've yet to "begin" but I am relieved there is hope as as having an analytical mindset, these videos are filling in the gaps between the feelings of anxiety about quitting addictions. You have a great communication style, no beats missed. Thank you!
Your videos are truly helpful. The part where you talked about the space between the craving and the reaction is so true!

Man, I’m glad I found this channel. I have been struggling for years now. Once made it around 6 months and I broke down. I will try this journey again and I will defeat this damn monster. Physically I feel terrible I keep going for tests to make sure I am not dying and nothing is ever found. . I’m only 35. And I need to make a stance at this. This is by far the worst thing a person can deal with on a day to day basis
Thank you so much for putting this channel together, I’ve found it very helpful :)
I started watching your videos about 2 weeks ago and quit nicotine almost then and there. I have had 3 lapses after lasting 9 straight days without nicotine. I had about 15 puffs of a vape over 2 days from a friend. Then the next day I bought another vape which I’ve had for the past 3 days, pretty much back to normal habits. I know I’m just making excuses for myself, and I already felt so much happier after the first 4 days of going cold turkey. I’m throwing my vape out today (again) and won’t be looking back…. God it’s so shameful for me to have these addictions….
Your videos are of great help !! Had been smoking for some 50 years !! Found I would be out of breath walking 30 metres. That scared me. Your videos, research, plain old will power and FAITH that God will help me, 1 gum a day, lot's of water with lemon and ice tea has brought me to day 44 of no cigarettes. I stopped being out of breath 4 days after stopping, that was mind blowing. I pray I can keep this up. Thank you for your wisdom and advice !!

I read Allen Carr’s book last year before my senior year of college, but I ended up vaping all through senior year. As soon as I got home after graduation, I threw away my capes and got rid of the weed. Currently on day 3 of no weed and day 1 of no nicotine. I’ve been in his book every night before bed because it really helps me remember why I’m a non-smoker now.

Today marks the 6th day since I quit smoking. I've attempted to quit multiple times, but this time it surprisingly felt easier. The initial two days were challenging, but by the third day, it became more manageable. It's worth noting that I smoked for nearly 25 years, concurrently with my coffee habit. Understanding that the withdrawal phase is temporary and not everlasting is crucial. Reminding myself that this period will pass and avoiding situations that could trigger the urge to smoke, especially during the first two weeks to a month, has been helpful.
Today is my 5th day
Man, you are doing god’s work! ❤
The last 2 mins was very deep, meant alot thanks ❤ day 8
To quit nicotine, I just smoked silly amounts of Weed (without tobacco). In three weeks I smoked in the region of about 250g of high-potency weed in pure form. I never suffered a single nicotine craving. And then stopping weed was easy. 25 years of trying to quit with tobbacco no luck. And then this method took absolutely no effort. And now I don't have any vices at all. It not cheap method, but it was very effective for me.
thank you bro 🙌

Really happy I stumbled upon your videos. I cant remember which one it is but Ive been binge watching your material. Something you said really resonated with me, which helped kick start my cold turkey journey from THC and nic. "Have you ever told yourself you were going to quit today, but end up putting it off to tomorrow, then next week? Well thats a sign of addiction, you become less of a man of your word". It got me upset at the moment so i took my last hits and threw the devices in the cabinet. Day 5 and these cravings are intense but im so happy im able to say no.
I forsure want to quit nicotine for good, but I would like to be able to use THC in a recreational manner that wont spiral me into my previous self now that I have the information on what happens when THC is abused. I dont have cravings for thc thankfully, i hate the cravings for nicotine, because you can literally hear your inner though negotiate with the addiction.
I quit using Zyn pouches a week ago. My Apple Watch sent an alert saying my resting heart rate went down from 70 bpm to 56 bpm.
One of the things that nicotine does is giving andrenaline and the things like that in the morning, without nicotine waking up feels hard for me. On one of my quiting attempts I did face the cold shower for the last 10 seconds and this did help me to wake up in the morning because of the andrenaline release. Soon I will quit again and I will be facing the cold shower again. Good information, I'm done being the lab rat! If the crafings hit I tend to go outside doing short walks to be in another mental state. The steps to go outside take long enough for the crafing to fade.
Thank you
I'm on day 10 of being nicotine/vape free!! 😄🙌 I've been watching your videos for about a month or so Frank... been trying to quit, could never make it past 24 hours lol. Then suddenly about 10 days ago I got HORRIBLY sick with a severe cold or flu. I was sooooo out of it. Zero energy, super tired, super sick. So I used that time to officially quit. I basically slept through my withdrawals! Lol. I keep coming back to your videos because I want to know that these cravings won't last forever. I get them randomly throughout the day, and you're right they don't really last that long. I'm just superrrrr looking forward to the day where I don't get them at all! Thanks for all your videos, they really helped me!
Coloring book pages are a great distraction and also great if you have anxiety. You can print off a few sheets for free on the web and you probably have colored pencils or crayons already, if not the dollar store or Walmart has them. It’s a great distraction.

20 years on nicotine (10 smoke, 10 vape) now I’m on day 51 without nicotine and I’ve gotta say, it’s barely getting easier. I get the craving less frequently but when I do I want it just about as bad as I did on day one. When I get frustrated at all my cravings come right back, and when I catch myself with extra downtime my cravings skyrocket. I’ll feel my mood start to pick up as I’m about to take a break at work or sit in traffic headed home, but then I remember that I don’t smoke/vape anymore and every time it still feels devastating and frustrating. A few times per day I go through various stages of grief and loss for my old routines. I’m having a pretty hard time staying quit but I know that I don’t want to go through it all again, I keep telling myself that maybe on day 60 (or 80, or 365) I’ll feel like I’ve never smoked before. I haven’t had alcohol in almost a year and that was a piece of cake, I can confidently say that I wouldn’t mind going the rest of my life without alcohol, but nicotine seems to have a stronger grasp on me than anyone else I know who has quit it. I’ve even stopped doing certain activities I used to do while vaping (editing videos, playing video games) because I know the cravings will make those activities feel like torture. Anyone here have similar experiences? I’m about ready to call a therapist or something to talk me through this 😐
I didn't reach day 60 but i went as far as 40 days -+2
The first week was hard
After that the craving started going away
But after a while it would come, and it would stay for days , it came at the beginning of 3rd week and stayed for some days ( i don't remember exactly how many days), afterwards it came in the beginning of the 6th week
I smoked.
But now, I'm trying to quit again, smoking is not good for health , it's not good daily routine, it's just not beneficial
And every smoker knows that
And i really think that it'll get better
Anyone else here quiting the Breeze? They are so damn addicting. Never smoked before, actually quit these last year for few months. Now on day 3, crazy feeling the pressure headache, extreme irritability, but feel so much better now having that run through my body all day.
Ngl your vids help man… this is my first time actually relatively succeeding at quitting nicotine. I’m almost a week in, and the first 2 days were hell. Is very helpful to hear that the cravings stop at some point. I keep thinking about the fact that the withdrawals is just the nicotine leaving my body
Now 2 and a half months in no nicotine in 5 years
Day 2! Wish me luck

1 year clean from 2 to 3 cans of grizzly wintergreen long cut a day. This video helped a lot.
23 years of smoking. Quitting at age 37. It has been two months and never felt better. No more feeling slavery to cigarettes. There are times I still want to have a smoke during social drinking but I replaced with sucking on a wood stick.
I struggled with nicotine addiction for years. I was more of a casual smoker, but I did enjoy it. I would often smoke Captain Black cigars instead of cigarettes too. Then I would get addicted to chewing nicorettes or nicotine lozenges. This went on for years and years and years.
I was always trying to quit with no lasting success. I would be nicotine free for a couple of weeks and then I would find a pack of nicorettes I forgot abut in my jacket and would convince myself that just chewing a couple won't hurt. It was a never ending cycle.
I actually quit just by accident, if that can happen. A few years back I decided to take a break from drinking alcohol. Once I stopped drinking any alcohol the desire for nicotine drastically decreased. I know that won't work for every person, but it did for me. When I decided to start drinking again I had no desire to pick up any nicotine product. About a year ago I quit drinking alcohol altogether and recently decided to give up all THC products too....Life is interesting!
Quit weed completely. Went back to smoking and vaping (tobacco and no-nic juice). Don't like how it makes me feel, don't like the addiction. Just listed my mod up for sale and tossed my cigarette. Back here again to make sure I'm ready for the cravings. There was a brief period where I quit inhaling anything other than air and I liked how I felt, even if getting there was challenging. Wanna get back there again. Let's fucking DO THIS.
Started smoking since 2013 when i was in 10th grade . And just before 5 days got infected with influenza H3n2 virus and didnt get any urge to smoke for 2 days straight and thats the time i decided that its the best time to give up . For now im literally getting wildest cravings , now im surfing videos to look for solution... I guess untill you have will to give up , nothing can stop you
I’ve been wanting to stop. I finished my last one yesterday morning. I quit cold Turkey bought a bunch of crunchy snacks and gum. I actually just want to stop this time I want it to be done. Good bye leave me I don’t need ya no more nicotine!! I’m not craving it they are dying screw you nicotine I drink water I don’t need you!

30 days in, last real craving i can remember was around day 17
I quit and will never smoke again. I watched this video right after throwing away all nicotine products and it was so helpful to know what to expect
You deserve more subscribers, thank you for what you do. I have been slowly easing off nicotine and am hoping to go cold turkey before the end of the month.
Nick!! Thank you. You will succeed my corned the Moment you decide you are truly ready to be done you will be done. But you have to be confident in your decision to be done
@@AddictionMindset appreciate it. I will let you know how it goes in a week or two. Also I changed my mind, why wait, I’ll try to eliminate nicotine now. I have found other happy healthier distractions. Again thank you for all of the videos. They truly do help!
Just tried the laser therapy acupuncture to help quit. Been on and off for a few years and never considered myself a heavy user until a few months ago. On day 3 now. The rage was so hard to deal with the first 2 days. Today I just feel odd. All my life I have depended on a substance, usually Cannabis. This is my first time being completely sober.
I am 2 months nicotine free (went cold turkey). Just last week I was flying high because I was going through all day without thinking about a cigarette. I thought I had this in the bag. However over the last few days I have felt like I am back to square one again. Constantly on my mind and Im having to go back and watch videos again to remind myself on how to cope with cravings etc. Why o Why does this happen?? Nothing has changed for me. I am no more stressed than I was last week. I cant put a finger on why this could happen and its freaking me out. Has anyone gone through the same thing or has an answer?
hi i totally understand you. i m on 15 days cold turkey. and it still feels like i am on day one. i m preparing for a competitive examination with high pressure on myself, which couldve been a trigger for me, so i try to stay indulged in my studies, but it still feels like im on the first day. maybe it will never go away, maybe it will always stay. maybe it is something that we brought up on ourselves, so might as well learn to live with it. i think of it as an unfortunate circumstance, and remind myself on why i actually tried to stop smoking, and continue on with my life.
remember that cigarettes are infact death sticks, and you have to give it up, no matter what.
@@nachikettchatterjeee6518 did you hold on, or did you start again?
going thru the same thing, 35 days without nic. will keep going tho
@@lmao7360 Yep. Still smoke and nicotine free for 6 months now.
@GSBarren Keep on going. I'm now 6 months free and it's a lot easier now.
This is helpful i already stopped for twomonths for four times now i know why i crack the thrid month hehe
You look like a young inspector gadget even your head shape is good. Recommend for Halloween costume or Cosplay. Also the video is helpful and full of good info.
5 days in. I'm doing pretty well. Sleep has been the main issue. I normally sleep like a baby, and I'm getting 3-5 hours a night. I know this will all pass though. I just paid a hypnotist 500!!!!!! Didn't work. I've been up and down trying to quit for 2 years, constantly obsessing and then when I go back using so much nicotine I almost pass out. It's a serious problem. But it's all over. These videos from Dr frank I keep listening to.
It's working to picture those nicotine receptors dying off. Another day! Victory is mine
This was literally my question. Thanks.
Also i wanted to know if there is a way to look at the triggers without thinking about weed or nicotine, like before the addiction began?
The only way is with time. In time that goes away, I promise
Love your channel! But I dont want to kill off my nicotinic ACh receptors lol, theyre too important. But I understand why you explain it like that!
28 years of smoking. I like smoking.
It's my second day and it suck. I got a small ashtray that I sniff and I hold a cigarette in my hand. I want to eat it. Once I've stopped for 8 months and it wasn't that difficult. Now I'm struggling. I don't have a choice, I'm forced to quit.
I've stopped alcohol 3 years ago. I will turn into an angel soon. 😒
No. For me after 30 day all urges were gone. It seemed like a miracle. But it really was around the 30 day mark that i litterally had zero urges
right now i'm at 4 weeks quit and my cravings arent bad until once i'm having a series episode. I feel that nictoine has really helped me cope with some issues that my brain cannot understand how to get over.. I really want to overcome this. I'm still going strong.
Best advice from Allen's book is realising nicotine does absolutely nothing. NONE. NADA. NULL. If you want that dopamine or feel happy, just try 10 pushups. Trust me instant relaxation. If the thoughts get overwhelming, writing them down in a journal or even speaking them out loud is way more effective than smoking. At the end of that cigarette you've not relaxed yourself, you've merely scratched an itch which will come back. Moreover you're no more closer to solving the problem or dealing with your thoughts than you were before.
Please realise that cigarettes do absolutely nothing except waste your time. Every moment spent taking a puff could've been used for a variety of activities that you enjoy(read dopamine release) or deal with your problems in a head first way instead of procrastinating. Take it from someone who had been addicted for 6 years not a single of my problems were solved by smoking. The only thing I can do is forgive myself because it was stupid to think cigarettes would relax me or take away the boring moments. Take the Easy way buddy. You're not alone.
