I started smoking since my teenage, got addicted to cigarettes. Spent my whole life fighting Cigarettes addiction. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

Amen God bless people. Save your health save your mind. Life is better without heroin, cocaine, alcohol and cigarettes. And you have more money in your pocket. God bless everyone who has rejected the devils intentions to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes etc which can cause so much damage to health.

Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏

Congrats! I'm really happy for you that your wife decided to help you. I always admire those who beat their addiction. Knowing it's possible to fix your life knowing there's people out there that have done what I thought was impossible gives me hope I will make it through as well. Those who share their experiences don't know how much it helps when you're about to give up, it gives you the strength knowing somone who actully know what it's like to go through this tell you it's possible, it's not the same somone telling you you can do it when they have no idea what it's like, but hearing somone who knows what it's like that helps a lot since you understand it firsthand and made it out gives so much hope. so thanks for sharing.

I am in a similar boat but with kratom instead. I was addicted, quit surprisingly easily, and then 4 years later I started taking it again because my girlfriend and I were going through shit and my buddy just purchased a store which sold kratom. I totally regret going back to it. I've been doing it longer this time than I did initially and the addiction is significantly worse. I should've recognized that I was just going to get addicted again but there were so many other things going on at that time that getting addicted to it wasn't even a thought in my mind

I relasped multiple times honestly. The first time I relapsed after a year of being nicotine free. The second time I relapsed after being nicotine free for 14 days. The third time after 6 days of withdrawal. Now is my fourth attempt and I am currently on day 10. Honestly I regret not staying strong during the second attempt, the second attempt was treating me more kindly than this one, all I had to worry about was the cravings, sore throat, and coughing. Nausea and migraines were only reserved for day 3. Now, its day 10 and I woke up feeling nauseous today.
Honestly, all of this could've been avoided if I never decided to pick up a vape after one year. I beat the addiction around that time, had no cravings, no nothing. I was feeling a bit stressed that day and decided to buy a vape, I figured I could always throw it out after 3 days or so. Boy was I wrong. No matter how many years go by of being free of using a substance, you will always be addicted to that substance. Never fool yourself into thinking you could just have a little taste and be perfectly fine afterwards. You never are.

10 days cold turkey without nicotine and it has become evident that nicotine is my most addictive habit compared to weed, alcohol, porn, and video games (personally). The problem most people have is they celebrate too early like “I quit 48 hours ago! yay me!” Whereas I came into this knowing darn well this will be a struggle, 21 days is just the first milestone, a lifetime free of nicotine is the real goal because I want to be around as long as possible for my family and friends. Life is already too short, let’s look and feel healthy as long as we can because we all take it for granted now. I want this for all of us :)

  • @TheDanavanhuber
    @TheDanavanhuber Před 2 lety +16

I am 5 days vape free. I have been vaping since 2015 every day. I always thought I was just vaping temporarily. but 7 years isn't temporary. what helped me quit was the fact that I stay busy and vaped a juice that I hated for a while before I quit. it really helped me forget how great it all was. the positives as of right now outweigh the negatives 15 to 1. I can breathe easier. more energy. my stomach has stopped feeling so bloated. my throat doesn't need to be cleared a million times a day. and I love that I don't have to lug the big oily hunk of metal around. or have to worry that my vape juice will run out or my batteries will die. it's all gone. the anxiety gone. I still can relapse, but I know it's definitely the right way to go. I recommend to anyone who just picked it up to throw that shit away asap.

Relapse is unacceptable because addiction ties to a version of myself I no longer want to be, and because I know, deep down, that addiction solves none of my problems - only worsens them. After two years of heavy nicotine and weed use I've though about this: When you are addicted, you take a hit to get to the place addiction takes you. Meaning that you don't wan't to be where you are. In my experience, this means, that addiction will always function as a form of escapism. When you feel like you wan't to be somewhere else don't downgrade yourself. Upgrade yourself.

I don't know man, calling the withdrawals "minor" is a bit of a stretch, at least if you are into it as hardcore as I was. It's one thing to have a week off of work and be able to ride it out but it's a whole other thing to do it cold turkey and work a job at the same time. I found going right up to the point that I start feeling like I'm going to crash and then just take one puff. I've got my consumption down by about 95% in 3 days by doing this and there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'm actually getting back to the point that it makes me feel worse when I vape, nausea and all that. Now I find myself going hours without wanting it. I'm hoping to have a totally nic free day this week and never look back. I'm sick of this nasty stuff, I'm better than this.

I am tired of having this nicotine addiction control my emotions and my frustration whether I have any more vape or not. I want to feel rewarded for not being a smoker and I thought vaping was that but it’s not. I am doing cold turkey because I dislike the replacements. I need to celebrate those withdrawals because I know I will not die without them. There is life at the end of it all and I want to replace those cravings with something healthier.

So this is the closest thing I’ve gotten to actually writing down my struggles in any form. Have been vaping everyday since the 3rd week of March of 2020. Every day 😳The pandemic just fueled my anxiety and vaping just created a perfect storm. I’ve been having throat pain for almost a month now and well anxiety has led me to worrying about the worse. And pain has always been a motivation for me.
Anyway, I watched the tips and advice you gave, and it some how seems like it just really gels for me 💯 hoping it’ll be something I can cling too when the waters get choppy with the withdrawals happen. I know it’s not much but it seems like the longest where I didn’t negotiate. So putting it here, last time I vaped was 3:30 am last night, nearing the first 24 hours.
    Let’s seee… 🤞🏼

Hey just a tip for anyone who has struggled. In my last week of vaping I switched to 0mg liquid, and grabbed NRT lozenges. I let myself vape as normal with the 0mg, and stuck to 3 lozenges a day. I didn't vape and use the lozenge at the same time. After a week I was reaching for the vape a lot less, and wasn't worried if I went somewhere without it
It was a lot easier to go cold turkey with a reduced desire to grab the vape

I’m not gonna lie I’ve been in a dark place for a while (who hasn’t In these times) but the realization of I’m doing this literally made me cry. Not sad tears but happy ones. This is a big step for me and I feel like I’ve opened a new door in my life. P.s I’m 18 and I’ve been vaping since 7th grade and this is my first time trying to quit. Wish me luck y’all

I loved your video and I am sure I can do it. I have been vaping for over 6 months now and lately attempted to quit it. Vaping started as part of hangovers with friends over weekend and slowly became my habit every few hours. This is first time when I feel addicted to something and it's surprising to see how my hands are being manipulated by nicotine to drive my car and buy more and more. Even if I throw it away, I am going back searching for it. It is EVIL and will take control of everything. I am sure I will quit. May 4 2023 11:03 PM IST. Countdown begins now. Thank you so much Dr.

I'm on day 3. I tried to quit vaping months ago by decreasing my nicotine level. I had God awful withdrawals. The worst headaches of my life, nausea & insomnia. That lasted about 3 days & I went back to my regular dose of nicotine. 🤦‍♀️ Well, 3 days ago I found out I'm pregnant. I immediately got rid of my vape. This has been the best excuse for me to quit vaping. It's been so so much easier to quit this time. The insomnia is absolutely ridiculous... but I just keep reminding myself of why I'm quitting. I tell myself this craving shall pass & I will be healthier & happier when I beat this addiction. My baby's health means more to me than satisfying my craving.

@@calebpeterson5427 it was rough that first week or so with withdrawals. With every day that passes, it gets easier though. I'd say after about 30 days I quit having cravings. Now I'll have a slight urge when I'm around family/friends that are smoking, but it's totally manageable. I'm so glad I quit! I feel better physically & mentally. Vaping is no longer my crutch in stressful situations. That's probably the hardest part is learning to cope with stress without nicotine.

I hit one year clean last week. Strangely When I started last year I wasn't sure if I would make. Now that I have made it this far, i seem to be having a bunch of cravings out of nowhere. cravings for the head rush. something about the cold weather approaching makes me crave it. But I really like the thought about the money being reinvested. There's been many dates this year that i would have been broke for if I was still vaping!

Thanks for the vid! I've quit multiple times before, but really need it to stick this time. To anyone looking for things that might help, I have found great success with super minty/menthol cough drops as a transition. I do not want to utilize nicotine gum because I want to get nicotine out of my system completely, however, the thing I enjoy most about smoking/vaping is the throat hit. Cough drops are really helpful in this regard! Hopefully, that might be helpful to someone, as I know it has been for me. Good luck everyone. Will be nice to be on the other side and watch the side effects slowly begin to disappear.

Relapse is unacceptable because it doesn't worth trading a month of guilt and paranoia almost driving myself crazy. this is my 16th day of quitting. the first week was really hard physically and mentally. I was having muscle cramp all over my body especially around my neck sometime even hard to swallow, it was the worst part physically, i can't even breath sometimes. After the first 7 days digestive system seem to having a hard time processing any food I've consume, have to go in to ER. After taking some medication seem to be better. Until the craving still persisted, but only when I'm doing something related to vaping like watching the rain fall, listening to music while driving, and just listening to my favorite song in general. I guess when you have been doing something religiously for far too long it is really hard not to miss it, just trying avoid those feeling and activities for now. until the craving dies off, I'll be able to enjoy watching the rain, listening to music again with out nicotine.

Nicotine Patches did help me. I’m sure it’s different with everyone, but cold turkey I always relapsed eventually. By eliminating the physical addiction of vaping and having the vape on or near at all times I was able to forget that I needed it long enough to get through withdrawals. It took like 3-4 weeks of patches to transition to cold turkey, but it worked for me. I am 3 months currently off nicotine.

December 13th, 2021. 7:30am. I am 26 hours into quitting vaping for probably the 6th or 7th time in the 6 years I have been vaping, I smoked cigarettes for around 5 years before that. This morning seems better than yesterday morning, I was almost sad to be quitting vaping and I just had to tell myself that this is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. other than the fact the I got very little sleep last night, I don’t think I slept for more than 30 minutes at a time. And when I did my dreams were WILD. I feel different about quitting this time, I am in the mindset that this is my only option and I cannot go back to vaping. I’ll check back in a few days. Thanks!

Relapse is 100% unacceptable bc no matter where I am or what I do or who Im with it doesnt change the fact that one puff has made me relapse into months of smoking several times, and if I am to get anywhere close to my goals I will have to stay clear of ALL of the behaviours that lead me back into addiction, not just some of them. I want to be a firefighter and for that I literally have to pass a stress test that is hard on the lungs. Im making a choice, and i need to keep myself reminded of that for the rest of my time.

I'm tired of the lingering cravings, the anxiety, lack of drive and the depression this has brought on or exacerbated. I no longer want to be obsessing over getting a new bottle of juice or pods or taking a few more hits before bed. I am excited to reread this comment in a few weeks no longer requiring a vape for my daily functioning.
