YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT WE FOUND METAL DETECTING IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! Unbelievable!!

- Dumb Luck AGAIN!! We walked straight into a Honey Hole LOADED with early 1700’s coins. At first we were thought we found a broken CASHE or some sort of HOARD. We found plenty of Buttons & Relics mixed in the iron patch so we believe we found some sort of Trading Post or Mechant Site. This is our best coin day ever, but the best find of the day wasn’t even a coin. UNBELIEVABLE!!

Where are the videos brother? Found your channel and I'm hooked. Bought a Mine lab and want to get out this week. Keep the good videos rolling!
Hey Kurt , awesome video as always. There seems to be an issue with your Ebay link to access the Hoover boys merch. Is there still merch available or is there just a problem on my end
The Hoover Boys
This is so cool! Which state was this hunt? Also any suggestions for areas in Michigan for a newbie?
Why do they put a hole in them? A great day for finding coins for sure.
My 8 year old got a children's metal detector for Christmas. I go out and plant a few coins in the backyard for him to find. He has been watching all your videos. I watched a few with him and this looks like so much fun. I ended up ordering a proper metal detector for myself so we can start digging up history together.
That's wonderful! We love hearing that. Best of luck to you two
My grandsons got them for Chrismas too. They have a lack of patience. Ishoweed the how to slow down and was along the sidewalk and found a quarter in about 5 feet. Under ground.
Haha Holly! I did the same for my seven yr old Grand-son 2 Christmas's ago. I'd rather have a mtd in his hands than a darn video or cell phone...I'm sure you can relate! Take care and be safe, Mary

Why would someone choose to watch scripted reality TV when they can watch unscripted historical reality CZcams gems like this? Wow! 🗽
Thank you for the kind words and support! Means a lot
seriously.. can't stand fake reaction/drama...
YES. THIS.
This is why I dont watch t.v. anymore.
Most people are so far gone now they think reality TV is actual reality and they even act like it. Stuff like this is of no interest to them.
It's really cool and appreciated how you show 'clean' samples of what the coins you dig up would look like.
Thanks! Takes a lot of editing but I thinks it’s a great touch
I bought a cheap Radio Shack metal detector once... first run with it I found a gold diamond ring, I was hooked
Wow! Thats awesome
I had one as a kid I miss it. I've needed another one on so many jobs I dont know why I haven't bought one yet.
I, a simple property owner, looking for my property pins by using a rented metal detector, found a cool, hand made, 160-year-old nail.
Awesome!
I FOUND ONE TO IN THE BOTTOM OF MY FLAT BACKHOE TIRE. IT WAS NOT WORTH THE PRICE IT TOOK TO FIX THE FLAT. 🤔

You guys find a copper coin from the 1700s and say: “That’s nice.” I find a 1955 penny and I do somersaults for half an hour.
Haha😂 same but with a 1912 d a 1953 a1945 & a 1949 d
Me too !
Omg me too lol I’ve never found a coin older than 1970
Hahaha 😁 I'm older than 1970, calm down with that now😂🤣😂
I have2 but no double D.s
I haven’t metal detected in years but I’ve been watching a lot of these videos and it has revived my excitement to start back. So I’m going to blow the dust off my old White’s DXF Spectrum E and hopefully it will still work. The Battle of Stones River was fought here in Murfreesboro and I know Union troops camped less than a quarter mile from my house (in a subdivision) after the battle. So I’m certain they walked on my property at some time when this was a farm. I think I’ll start with my yard. I might even walk down the street and see if neighbors will let me hunt their lots. I’ve seen a lot of videos where you and others are in the middle of huge bare fields and finding lots of relics. How did you research to go to fields? Thanks gentlemen. Really enjoyed this.
I watch several metal detecting stations. I just found yours. This is the stuff dreams are made of! This is the best day I have seen yet! Inspiration. I love old things! What an incredible day of finds!
Thank you for the support! We've been lucky a few times
Old aqauchigger found a dropped money bag full of really old silver and other coins, he kept pulling coins out of the river bank,it was amazing

Congrats to all you’re treasure finds. It was so interesting to watch, and love the fact that you add quick little updates between finds that kept me watching to the end.I must say, the dynamics between you guys are hysterical!! One new follower for sure.

I’m so glad you take the time to share these hunts with us. Very enjoyable watching you guys.
Geez, thanks for making look so easy, if you need me I'll be over here digging clad and pull tabs😛

I’ve been binge watching ur videos. It’s amazing how in tune you are with your machine. Being able to tell what’s in the ground before you dig it. I can’t believe how much good stuff you guys find. All I find is trash haha. Thanks for the great content!
Thank you for the support! We dig tons of trash as well. Just part of the game
You guys should hit up my area. Played a huge role in the American revolution. 30 miles south of Philly. I have access to William Penns properties and Bassett Ice Cream property. Hancock property all of which are old farms from the 1700's. Xmas eve windstorm took my cousins barn down. It was dated late 1700's.

I think you've found the location of an old wishing well!!!
No ,the coins wouldn't be scattered in such a wide Area
It's fun to find a place like this. How you need to find out some history about the site. Great job.
Congrats on finding this field! expect to see you guys back there!
Thanks! We’ve been back
Can we please have our British coins back as they are part of our heritage. Thank you. lol. Seriously, great finds lads!
Incredible day guys! I wonder why there were so many holed coins? Hard to believe there were no silvers... Man, I love the history and fun to imagine what went on there. Great job!
A lot of Old coins were holed. They would string them together so they would lose them. Thanks!
Clearly didn't work that well :)
Congrats! This is one of the best detecting videos I have EVER seen! All I can say is WOW!
Thank you for the support! This day was so much fun
What an awesome day guys! I couldn't stop smiling, and I wasn't even there, well I was in spirit... Thanks for recording it for us, what a historical rejuvenation of all of those old items, coins and buttons, if only they could talk!
Thanks!
A really great day discovering so many historical pieces, perfection personified, onward & upwards to even greater digs. I gotta admit I wish I was part of this particular dig. So cool!
This video is a perfect example of why the Hoover Boys videos are the best!
Robert Jones oh bob!
Much appreciated! That puts a smile on my face
You damn near glossed over Bobbies USA. That button trumps everything. Even the liberty caps !
There was a lot going on. I agree 100%
I found an old horseshoe under 18 inches of clay in West Virginia in 2001 using a 12 ton metal detector. It was actually the guy grading my property for my new house who uncovered it. 😄
It's really cool to see people enjoying themselves doing real stuff. Cheers from Canada. :)
Thank you for the support!
That's insane. Just one of those finds could make a hunt. I can't believe you didn't squeak out any silver.
Thanks! Neither could we
I was there and I still don't completely believe it. Bob must have seeded that field 6 months ago.
Mind blowing, my bet is he time traveled to seed it. Patina was too real haha
Bobs USA lead pewter was my fave! LFOD Brad!
You are an enabler Brad. 👍🏻😂
@Carol Harris These coins were all lost 200+ years ago. Bob 'seeding' the field was just a joke. We don't know what used to be there, but money obviously changed hands. What's odd is there was no silver, at all, but we did get quite a few buttons and other period items. One of the most adrenaline pumping hunts I can remember... Thanks for commenting!
@Ronan Barthon What a silly goose! These copper-laden sites are out there, but they are few and far between.
Wow, so excited for you guys!!! Just found ya all and subbed. There's nothing more fun than finding treasures and when you have a day like you guys are having this day is extra exciting...It's not even about the worth (although that helps :), it's all about the find!!!!!! Take care and be safe, Mary
I agree! Unbelievable. A coin collectors dream. My first video with you guys. You helped me get schooled on the coins. Way to go. I’m so shocked I don’t even know what to say. Keep it up. God Bless.
Thank you Diana! This was such a fun day. God bless
Huge congrats... One of the best days I have seen on a video, so cool to finds sites like that.
Much appreciated! Thanks
Amazing finds... hopefully you boys re-hit that field again! Maybe there’s silver out there yet?
Yes we’ve been back. Did a good job day one
Rob is a god
Looks like maybe there was a camp site there, or maybe a massacre, something maybe real bad happened there? Some may be bured around there? WONDER if anyone knows the history of that area? To much in that area for there not to have been a battle of some kind.
@@super_steven_1776 no Heavenly father is the 1 and only God. Bless you and all of us Amen and Amen

WOW 🤩 what a fun hobby. I’m curious as to what the landowners get when folks find such relics? Do y’all pay an upfront fee to metal detect someone’s property or do they require viewing one’s find and maybe take several items for themselves? Do you check land records so as to help determine the usage of the property way back in time? I wonder if there’s a senior citizen treasure hunting group as this would be such an interesting adventure to join in on. 🕵️♀️
I’m concerned when y’all start rubbing off the caked on clay or dirt though. I find myself cringing thinking how many unnecessary scratches are being made. Shouldn’t you carry a water squirt bottle or small container with whatever solution might properly clean such? 🤷🏻♀️
That's were I'm getting it thank for the info.
Brilliant, great finds and you all were having a hectic fun discovery day. I'm from England living in the north of west Ireland now and on my land after buying the Nokta impact from your review I've also found George 1 to 3 and Victoria coppers . No silver coins yet, but what we all think a Viking silver ingot. Please send your coppers to the Bank of England as getting out of the European Union is costing us are arms and legs. Will you guys come over to one of our Uk big 3/4 day detecting events in the future. We would appreciate seeing you here. Great finds
Thank you for the support! I want to come over so bad. Just need the money first.
Well u guys have a new friend in SW Florida... Y'all are very entertaining, great mix of personality, skill, history and fun. Its amazing how much you find and U have to assume the ground collected those coins over a vast amount of time. However, I wonder just how and why people would so often drop coins... I understand coins were the main type of currency back then but something as small as a dime was worth fighting for. You would think they wouldn't be so apt to drop money..... U guys are awesome though
Bad tailors. Having coins in your pockets wore out the material faster, and the quality of the cloth isnt as strong as it is today, so lots of holey pockets. This also explains all the thimbles that are found, constantly fixing holes in pockets
Ian Anderson u know I thought about that but honestly that is a bunch of dropped change, over long periods. Im sure there was sacks and purses... Incredible... Thanks for your input
lou santacross This is every week Lou. So hold on and enjoy the ride brother.
Relicfinds with Baltimorebottledigger I already did the hoover boys marathon....
dropping that many coins usually involves copious amounts of drunken debauchery...
That was amazing I couldn't wait to see what y'all dug up next keep up the hunt Merry Christmas
This is great! Also, thanks for asking your Buddy to not swear, there are way too many f bombs on the tube these days. 😊

Wow! Good luck with the Airhead. Thank you for the support!
Your locations are amazing! The south lacks colonial anything and in alabama all the civil war sites are few and far between! Im super jealous! Congrats on all the finds and without a doubt you guys have the best metal detecting channel on yt currently. Ill be featuring you on my channel.
Thank you for the kind words and support! All the best
The Hoover Boys war was fought there, or an encampment. I would look for walls or possibly foxhole patterns. I feel it was the place of battle, and fallen troops left their mark with the coins fallen from their pockets
The South is full of colonial sites
That is an awesome video. I’ve found 1 copper and it was toasted. Def on my bucket list. Keep up the great videos.GL and HH.
Thanks! This was a crazy day. Best of luck!

Welcome to Coppersville! Great hunt guys.
I can't stop watching this one. Every piece of American history you guys uncover gives me chills. Just think about it... once upon a time. Patriots on the 13 colonies marched across miles upon miles , rain, snow, fought through starvation and disease under the command of general Washington's stout spirit, in defiance of tyranny, leaving thier wives, and children behind, many for then last time, so that we today enjoy our freedom, and liberty.
Every coin you uncover, every button and artifact once belonged to a patriot, our ancestors. Or thier counterparts.
I can hear those fife and drum in my head.
Ok, my moment is over. Wow..
It absolutely amazing to think about. I’d love to go back in time and see how these coins were lost. Thanks!
I need to come hunt with you guys for a day or two 😂 amazing finds guys, I’ve never seen that many coppers! Always fun to watch and see the excitement you guys have when you find each treasure.
It was a special site. Thanks!
That’s cool that y’all do this activity together. I hope you can mentor some young teens and bring them into your group to keep them out of trouble or depression from not having activities to do.

Great finds guys! I think Bill's cufflink shows a Tudor Rose. I think that would make it from a British Officer. Thanks for sharing and HH, Dave.
Nothing like detecting and finding coins And being able to find this amazing field ; always cover ur holes back up; that’s the way of detecting…Thanks for sharing these amazing coppers and buttons & cuff links. USA cool find

Found two pennies in the community playground. This is my first detector! ALSO: So VERY happy that I could also clear out ANY items that would be harmful to our kids! So you see, it’s not what you FIND but what you don’t find that is the biggest treasure! My 6 year old son and neighborhood kids can play in the sand and we don’t need to worry about something bad.

Damn, it looks like you guys had a lot of fun! Makes me want to get out the cheap little metal detector my mate bought on a whim from a garage sale, but is now gathering dust in a storage closet beside the washer and dryer in our utility room . :-p
Always worth a try!
Brilliant video guy's. 2 questions. Have you ever thought of using a drone to map an overview at the end of the day of your dig holes to map your finds?. This can give you a great insight into the layout of the settlement you are digging and give you an idea on where to dig next?. Also, if you find a new settlement site, are you obliged to report it to a historical society or government department so it can be added to a central historical record?. Being from the UK, metal detectorists are obliged to log in any significant historical finds with the local museum or historical records dept.
I look forward to following your other escapades, best wishes , cal ;-)
Thanks Cal. Great Idea with the drone. I need to get one. I wish we similar laws here. This was on private property. We told the land owner. It’s in his hands
That's awesome finding the same coin.. especially GOLD! @thehooverboys Kurt, I'd love to chat for a few minutes about how you got into making videos. I'm really considering trying it. Hello Guys,,
I am not a metal detector enthusiasts, well that’s not correct:? I am, but have never taken time to get involved in anymore specialty recreation activities than I became involved throughout my life. Do I regret it? Hell yes, but there is only so time in one lifetime and we do what we do and walk the path available to us. But, instead of just pontificating on the shortcomings of a lifetime, I was writing to say that the show was a pleasure to be able to participate in as an observer and now that I am going to be 73 and unfortunately having some mobility problems, I enjoyed sounds of the fields hunting Dove in almost all types of weather across soybean and peanut fields. The long views to the tree-lines that gently followed the slow role of of the coastal plains with the background tree tops giving up the steeper terrain and likely creek in the valley between. You don’t know how much you will miss the simple thing’s. But mostly my profession involved working with the historic Communities and their downtown areas and the history of our nation and everything associated with its founding is a passion, especially when you can hold it in your hands.
One last thing, “The Hoover Boys” name, is it tied to Hoover, Alabama or another state?
Anyway I thank you for an enjoyable and exciting days of beeps and excitement for all of you. A final question please? Do you give or offer the land owner some of the loot specifically since it was as old as it was on this day?
Best,
The old professor
Live free or die!

Amazing finds gentleman. I want to go find treasure with y’all!
I would say somebody had their money buried in the field back in day then they got killed or they had to abandon the camp real fast like and never came back for the money and over the years the plow busted and spread the money all over the area over the years!
That’s certainly not out of the question. Thank you for the support
Pamela Chadwell or they buried it and couldn’t find the spot again ...didn’t have a detector
A drawback to that theory is, if you were burying a stash, it would not have been all copper, and the other artifacts that was there is more indicative of a public place.
You'll know that guy when you see him all unbuttoned and his cuffs in disorder!
People used to toss copper coins in gardens to add minerals to the soil. Those coins were probably out of circulation, and worthless at the time they put it in the field.
Subscribed instantly, this dude knows what hes talking about.
