This is a great basic recipe and a perfect side dish. I make my meat and vegetables chock full of garlic onion green Chilies curry leaves tomato etc and prefer a simple, basic khichuri. It is also a very good meal on it’s own!

Your recipe is easy .. i will try .. came to your site as it said that you provide calorie count. Take off the 'weight' ... you mean.. many people say "take out the whistle". I like my khichdi to have the graininess of pulao. .... I find most pics of khichdi look like porridge. . I guess I will need to change the ratio of rice and dhal to water.

You can try soya chunks/paneer. Everything else that's veg has a very poor carb-protein ratio

Dietary fats have nothing to do with body fat. As long as you're in the correct calorie range and workout regularly, you don't need to worry about it! Our brains are made up of fats so they are an essential part of our diet.
