Which one should I go for(if I am planning to use it for at least a couple of years)?
Will the a6000 going to be outdated after a couple of years(considering that it was launched in 2014), or, it can still give really good results for a couple of more years to come?

I have owned the a6000 for 6 years and have used it extensively. If the price dips low again on be a6100, I will probably bite. Hopefully all of the new series will drop because I would sure love that IBIS on the a6600! Thanks for another update. Keep up the good work!

Is there any solution of my a6000 monitor it shows inaccurate color than viewfinder.?? My copied files from a6000 is accurate on view finder.

I’m still waiting on my a6100 w/ kit lens to arrive. Purchased it mainly for vlogging. First legit camera purchase in my 38 years (owned tons of smartphones though lol). However, I am thinking about getting a manual lens so I can see what I can do. Saw some videos on them and they are super intriguing.

Sold my Canon 7D years ago to make the switch to mirrorless and bought the a6000 for the same price I sold the Canon, ~$300. I loved that little camera and made me a Sony believer. Once I outgrew the camera, I sold it for like $275. I also sold my Sigma 18-35mm lens, (I LOVED that lens too) and the MC-11 adapter. I moved up to the Sony a7 iii, already had a Sony FE 85mm 1.8 and purchased a Samyang 35mm 1.4 and have been happy.
Every time Sony releases a new camera a start drooling on the new autofocus capabilities. Then I remember that I shoot a lot of vintage lenses and I use the camera mainly for shoot stills, so my a6000 is more than ok.
The a6100 is the absolute best bang for your buck camera on the market for video. The M50 is better as a hybrid for those who need to shoot stills and it's much easier to use. I use both daily. Great comparison TCG
Not in the market for a new body, but just enjoy seeing you make videos
I would prefer to pay a bit more for the A6100. For moving objects focusing was frustrating

A6100 had been awesome. Got it for a major deals as a kit on bnh, less than 600. Newer tech then the a6000.
from what ive seen in plenty of reviews, A6000 does amazingly well for photography purposes.Video recording then for sure A6100. Prices have drastically increased but then again, Sony is a great brand and also, many have jumped on the photography wagon. all comes down to supply and demand (people will pay just to say they have a Sony.)

Just a tip for the videos, put sections in them, it's already half of the video and you keep talking about the price, which is gonna be different for the people watching it in the future I don't care about the price, I want to know what's the difference and how they compare in quality in video pictures and features.

If you do get the a6000, or another camera that has a tilt screen but not a flip screen, UURIG makes a great mirror attachment that slides into the hotshoe and lets you see the screen quite well from in front of the camera
OMG, thanks a lot! I've an a6000 that I rarely use and I was disappointed I could not use it for some amateurish vlogging... now, for just 19 euro I can get this little cheap thingie and work it!

I just bought a a6000 for 350$ with the Kit lense. I did not want to blow up my Wallet thats why i bought a used one. Im very happy with it :)

Having had the A6000 and recently upgraded to the A6400 the AF is leaps above.
I have tip for you. Update the firmware on a6000 (2019) and you’ll be amazed how better it gets. Btw I also have both of them. ❤️

Got the 6000, the 6300 and the 6500, I ALWAYS use the 6000, still an awesome camera for what I do with it, not sure 6100/6400 are absolutely needed, especially for youtube stuff.

the a6300 is just better than the a6000 in every single way
and the a6100/6400 have much better auto focus
In our city you can buy a6000 with kit lens used for 250 usd. 500-600 a6300 with kit lens. I am real estate agent and starting to become a photographer. Last 4 years I shoot myself, a6000+12mm f2 rokinon+ speedlight with li ion battery. Rich Baum and Nathan Cools channels and in few months I started to get good results. Starting to think about working also as a interior photographer. If you don't shoot fashion, wedding or portrait then a6000 is more than enough. Instead of a6100 I would recommend a6400, even used. Better video specs. The rest is same.

Little did we know the prices would keep going up. a6000 is at 550-600 and a6100 is at 850
Right now in my country the a6100 is like 900€, which is over 1000$ :D a6000 is like 450€ with a kit lense which is just above 500$. So i think I’m gonna get the a6000 and some additional lense after watching this video😂 Even a used a6100 is like 750-800€ (so almost 1000$)
