The a6100 does have touch focus. The real time tracking focus that uses touch focus is working fine on the a6100..
Oh wow I didn't know that. Then for some its even less of a reason to get a6400.

Well I have my a6000 because of you and I am thinking about upgrading to the a6600 just because of the weather sealing and the size
a6400 also has weather sealing but a6600 has IBIS which is a fantastic addition 👌
@@TomsJurjaks oh that's right the a6400 is also weather sealed would be great addition to my a6000 i only use for Instagram and car photography and videography whens i time to learn. By the way what is the best Gimbal i could use for the a6000 under 200€?
I bought used DJI Ronin SC and paid a tiny bit more than 200€ @@taterandy3958 also because it was used only 1 month and came with 2 Year warranty. Im sure you could find one around 200€. Cool thing is that a6000 is extremely light so you can get the smallest gimbal possible (maybe not the one for phones but you got the idea)
*I got the Sony ZV-1 and then This Camera but not in the Kit Form. I bought the f2.8 and then the Kit Lens next. It's a Great Camera, Only had it for a few weeks.*

I own a Nex6 from 2012 and a Sel1670Z from 2013, excellent photos, very satisfying. But I am not a demanding user, I take 500 photos a year on special occasions. It's time to change Body. I see it doesn't matter for me, 6100 or 6400, just make it cheaper :)

Hey ASh, The a6400 came out just 2 years ago. I don't expect newer version coming out anytime soon. They are selling this camera quite well as far as I know. I would say - yes its worth buying. I got it from e-infinity for considerably lower price and I think it was worth every dollar I spent on it.

Hey buddy, well Sony a6100 is better as it has newer sensor and lots of features especially if you want to shoot videos, but it is also more expensive. If you only shoot photos then Sony a6000 will be a great option for you as a beginner :)

Sony a6100 was selling for 600 body only for quite a while
Can you tell me the best budget canon adapters for a6100??
As far as I know everyone is using Metabones adapter. Not sure if cheaper options will do the job as its extremely important your autofocus works perfectly.
So unlike the a6600, whose price gap is rather large for what upgrades you get. The a6400 is VERY compelling as an upgrade. For what you pay, you cannot beat it with the a6100.
Features like better materials matter a lot for long-term use. Weather sealing matters a ton if you plan to travel or take vacations to unknown locations. Color profiles mean much easier and better editing later if you intend to. The touch screen for focus is such a nice feature for photos and videos when on a tripod or any time you don't want to or can't look in the viewfinder.
Hands down, the A6400 is such a huge win for the consumer in nearly every way.
Im totally with you here Naouta. Very well put. Depending on country/region, especially now the price might not differ too much from one to other model and it definitely makes perfect sense to invest a bit more and get the a6400.

You can't go wrong with that camera and the Sigma 30mm. You will have both, awesome, super sharp photos and also epic video footage. The 4k... The 120fps - its gonna be so lit 🔥 Good luck and enjoy 🙌

Thanks a lot and yes it is! Absolutely amazing camera. It really surpassed all my expectations. I was thinking of having as a temporary camera until Sony A7IV comes out, but to be honest - the a6400 does its job so perfectly that I don't see the need to upgrade. Go for it!

a6100 still is huge improvement over previous serious @@flowerwall8686 it has 4K video, audio port and good sensor. Only thing between a6100 and 6400 is that 6100 is missing Picture Profiles for professional color grading. I personally rarely use them anyways you can judge my (latest) video quality yourself. They should not differ too much. Besides - its not the camera, but lenses you use thats gonna make the biggest difference. So feel free to get a6100 and when your budget allows - get nice and sharp lens or two.

@@flowerwall8686 I have not compared the 2 cameras side by side, but if you don't use the picture profiles then my guess is that the difference doesn't even exist. I don't think anyone could even notice it if even there would be a difference.
I want to buy one for video . In my country the price difference is 300$. Do you think that is worth in this price gap ?(I am not so sure )

what camera you use to film yourself? what mode and whaj lens?
Sony a6000 with Sigma 16mm f1.4. Mode, I guess its movie mode, fully manual. For videos when I am talking ABOUT Sony a6000 I use the Sony a6400.

It depends on what you intend to do @@imrin4059- if you want to take photos only, then there is no point of getting a6100. But if you want to do videos - a6100 (or a6400) is the way to go. 4K video, audio port, 120fps etc. Its amazing for videos 😍

You are right @@ag1805x I just checked the local store here in Denmark and its not available too. Strange. It might have something to do with supply. I don't believe everyone is buying the camera like crazy. Must be some problem on Sony's manufacturing side.
Even E-Infitity store is out of stock as well....
That's the only explanation I can think of. They are not supposed to go off shelf as they have been recently released.

No, its good! And actually I don't use the slog on a6400 so you can also just go ahead with a6100

For photos? Shoot in RAW, use Neutral color profile and reduce contrast and saturation to -2 and sharpness to -3. It will give you the most flexibility. You can check it here in detail czcams.com/video/rfFSAqnc9I0/video.html although its for a6000 but I have the same settings on all of my cameras.
@@TomsJurjaks i actually checked for the neutral profile...but couldnt find it on my a6100!!...there are only standard, vivid, sepia, b&w..
Check the video i linked, it tells how to get neutral. You need to select "custom" and there you can find neutral.

It sure does, but since a6000 is beginners camera, you rarely will find them with high shutter count, usually it’s low

It makes perfect sense if you gonna stick to photos. Investment in lenses is always a very good idea!
