@@AJ-xv7oh yeah but you can’t play it on anything newer then a ps3 and xbox 360 on consoles.. not everyone still has their old consoles therefore we can’t play it
Honestly, the demo world looks WAY better than the actual game. The lighting in Gotham and the darker sky makes it feel more like nighttime and everything isn't always foggy. There's also an awesome crime in progress where Black Mask's thugs rob and bank, and they REMOVED THAT? What??? Also, the Anarky and Deadshot missions look way better in the diamond district, and it seems you can grapple to taller rooftops. I liked the feel of the game more during the time period this video was released because it looked better, and unfortunately still does. However, the story is top-quality and the best of the three.
I agree, the demo looks so much better. I was really looking forward to gliding onto taller skyscrapers. The Anarky mission looked better and was wondering hat happened to the bank mission. Also did you see that train pass at 5:30. Where was that?
Your right. The Deadshot side mission had a way better location in the demo. It just felt out of place where it was. And as for Gotham, the city actually looked alive. The trains and the lights made it look believable. But in the real game Gotham is a ghost town filled with thugs. But still an awesome game anyway.
It's a matter of opinion. Personally I thought the stories were exactly the same in quality. Neither was better than the other. I will say that in my opinion Arkham Origins story was executed better. I still think that the Arkham Asylum story had the best atmosphere and pacing.
+Triton K175 you could say that about any sequel for example "people would of liked temple of doom more if it had come before raiders". thats very stupid logic
MC ape I was just trying to spot all the things that are different between this demo and the final game. Even the lighting and the overall look is different.
gd game, but this is different: 1] you don't patrol alleys for an objective 2] you don't stop a crime where people invade banks 3] deadshot and anarky 'most wanted' are in different places
Why does the demo look so much better than the full game. And that crime in progress mission where black mask thugs robbed the bank and loaded the trucks full of bags of money was awesome, why is that not in the full game????? And what happened to the cool train @ 5:31??? I want the demo now :)
This game looks really good and I personally really appreciate WB Montreal for simply growing on Arkham City and Asylum and not changing the formula that Rocksteady worked so hard to build and perfect with their two critically acclaimed games. WB shows not only Rocksteady respect by doing this but also the fans. Can't wait to play this on day one and I also can't wait to see what this franchise will do with the next-gen systems in the future.
I think it has to be taken into consideration that Batman went into the events of the first two games relatively unprepared (the Joker's trap in Asylum and getting arrested/imprisoned as Bruce Wayne in City) so he had to make do with whatever equipment he had at the time. This time the story seems to follow him from the outset so that may be an explanation why he has better gear.
When it comes to trilogies it's always hard to expect something better especially when you're not sure it is what you want. I loved Asylum and I loved City, but for both of those I had expected to love them. And honestly, with this one I'm not sure what to expect. I'm hoping there's even more to the game play like there was in City, because while I'm glad they haven't changed the formula too much, as a die hard Batman fan I still want more.
story was good, batman took me out of the mood often with his excessive brutality though, but the main complaint - nothing new was added and Gotham City felt dead in comparison with Arkham City
There was no need to add anything new, they did a redesign of the visuals and art and that's more than enough, they improved the animations and IMO the story is the best out of the 3. Batman was supposed to be brutal, he was younger and angrier, it's the most interesting representation of Batman out of the 3 games.
There's running trains too, man these guys just screwed us over, big time, it makes me so angry. It's like they hate their fans and have a good laugh about it behind closed doors, so so angry
Ide like to respond to all the people that posted their idiotic comments. BE THANKFULL, this game is a masterpiece and you have to be an idiot to come here and post otherwise. Spoiled kids!
Thx for the explanation guys. Either way he still looks awesome. I was hoping they would include the beyond suit again. A lot of ppl hated the way it fitted but I loved using it.
I think the best thing about this game is that its sort of an early Batman. He's new, in Asylum he already had big rivalry's with all these villains, but now we get to see how he develops these rivalry's. Its exciting. Also we see how Gordon and Batman develop a mutual respect. I'm sure they will add tons of Origins nods that we don't even know about yet. Like maybe we'll see a Dick Grayson beginning to be Robin? Maybe we'll see nods to Batgirl, a child Jason Todd? Its exciting to say the least.
He already had the sequencer at the beginning, the warden gave him a card that he scanned with then sequencer so he could disable the asylums security gates.
My theory is he was more reliable back then on the gadgets because of his lack of confidence in his fighting abilities.. you also see that he gets in a fighting stance opposed to just walking up and cracking skulls without worry.
OMG, I REMEMBER THIS. Man I'm upset they removed that MASSIVE Anarky bomb in the Diamond district. THAT would of been an awesome puzzle opportunity. Love the train too.
Ben's comments are pretty fair when you think about it. True it's not completely cut and dried - after conquering the Asylum why does Batman not have the line launcher as standard kit on his belt but I guess he's a reactor of sorts. He only yanks out stuff when he needs it - like the city municipal codes were there in the Bat Computer yet he only asks for them when Penguin traps him and the disruptor device was in his belt but he only uses it when he needs to take out freezes gun.
I think the reason is more so because he wasn't prepared in Asylum or City. In Asylum he was only expecting to take Joker there. In City he was taken captive as Bruce Wayne, and got all his gear from a capsule. In this he is in Gotham, and most likely has time to prepare, and if not, he can just go down to the Batcave to gear up.
While it hasn't been confirmed, Kevin Conroy accidently leaked that he was working on a game as the voice of Batman. Since Kevin is not in this game, he is probably working on Arkham 4 for the Next- Gen consoles with Rocksteady.
I'm super hype about this game, but I hope they have added in more counter animations for fighting against the martial arts thug. In this demo, when he flips them in the air and then kicks them in the back happens entirely to frequently.
I wonder if you just left the bomb to blow up at 5:27 would you get a death screen or would everything just continue as normal but that building is now lots of debris.
Well, they did. Batman's stance is more aggressive than his stoic stance from City. The ground takedowns will occasionally use both fists to the temples rather than a single punch to the face (or... groin). They didn't want to change the mechanics on us, but what few changes they did make are signs of progression and narrative focus. You want it to feel familiar, don't you?
Man if Rocksteady is working on the next Batman Arkham game at this moment, on the PS4/Xbox One, I definitely can't wait. The map, scope and game-play would probably double the Arkham game's so far.
I think rocksteady is working on Next-Gen Batman game and that's why they handled the development of this game to another developer. Like how SuckerPunch handled Sly4 to another company while they were working on Infamous: SS
I hope there is going to be a local co-op mode where you can play as batman and robin I remember playing like that on the Sega genesis with my older brother.... good times
Batman has more of an idea of which gadgets he needs. Besides, the detective mode is actually more advanced in the later games; in Arkham Asylum, all he needed to do was flash a few objects and track it all down from there. Here, he had to use a much more complicated process.
The answers to all your questions is yes, and Deathstroke, Deadshot, Bane, and Copperhead have all been confirmed we're waiting on the next 4 to be announced.
The grapnel boost is in arkham origins yet it was a prototype that was first used in arkham city. It makes no sense and there is nothing you can really argue about that!
(this is for the first part of your comment) no, he wears less armor because he can't carry that amount anymore but when he was younger he was more agile and stronger and thats why he can wear heavier armor....whatever, i agree with you.
I feel like there is too much snow so every environment looks the same and they don't have to work that hard on detail when there is so much snow, but I could be wrong.
The Origins story line simply features a more aggressive Batman. He's suit is armored and he carries a lot more gadgets than in Asylum and City for good reasons. He's against assassins and organized crime this time so he needs more protection.
correct me if I'm wrong we can't control the batwing... so you call it and I'm assuming you'll have like a cut-scene and then your on location... so i dunno i guess we'll have to wait and see
This game is FUCKING FENOMINAL! Lots of additions and build ups from previous installments. I really like how enemies can now counter as well and we can counter those counters. This is going to be awesome!!!!
I like to think that this was a younger batman who was really cautious and wore a lot of armor and brought his best gadgets and then in arkham asylum and city he is a bit old and maybe not as physically enduring as he used to be so he wears less armor and is also has become better with his abilities so he doesn't feel the need to bring as many gadgets since they slow him down
I wish Arkham origins would get remastered
For real👍

I imagine that Arkham Knight will give us the best of both worlds. Also no way was Arkham Origin's story better than Arkham city's.

Its funny i saw a train coming by in the demo but in the game there is no train...
MC ape I was just trying to spot all the things that are different between this demo and the final game. Even the lighting and the overall look is different.
Raul Reyes yeah you're right, if they had released the game like the demo, then i would have been a little more statisfied!
gd game, but this is different:

Mike Bobby also, no trains in the final product
they need to stop demoing features that never appear in the final game. the bank robbery crime in progress and the trains. don't become Ubisoft
yeah, i just completed the game for the first time then came back and watched this...it looks better than the final game
@@roosterjackson7258 Jesus man that comment was old
This was the original game on the ps4, they just ended up scraping the next gen version and releasing the half assed ps3 version
Bank robbery is from the Cold Cold heart DLC.
Alot of hate I see for this game...Worth the 5 bucks I just paid for it, don't see anything wrong with it.

What did you think about the game?
What did you think of origins and eventually Arkham knight?
5:31 are there trains in arkham origins? Never saw any
no, but I swear I can hear one travelling around sometimes.
I know so can I!

Loving the new (well technically old) batsuit. It looks so much more badass and far less ridiculous than the previous suit.

Carlos Castanheiro and origins is even better compared to arkham knight!
Exactly bro
The guy playing this was rubbish
Watching this guy play makes me feel so much better =).
I like how after 3 games Batman still magicly slides around without moving his feet when doing combos.
this game needed mARKHAMill
Haha i get it

Yes i noticed that as well during the gameplay alot more he brutal and precise in the execution of his combat moves.
did the punching sounds change? cause they sound even better
Hey guys can anyone tell me if theres still the picture riddles to solve? Those were a lot of fun
This is an earlier version called the grapnel accelerator. It was made differently but made for the same purpose

I hope there are the bat vehicles and will you be able to kill with deathstroke cause I've preordered
This game is just something to please fans between Arkham City and the next-gen Arkham Game. The story elements of City won't matter.
Some say it was his first 2 years as Batman. Others say it was a handful.
Can't wait to play it
How is the grapnel boost in this game if it was only in prototype stage in Arkham City?
cant wait to play!!
Pre ordered the Collectors Edition a few days ago and I can not wait. I love the new Batsuit and everything, looks awesome
what was the unknown assassin part? i dont remember that part?.
Agreed i remember when the first game came out i was mindblown by the fighting system. Damn near perfect
He didnt talk abt combat. The most important aspect of core gameplay.
Pre ordered just now... Can't wait!!!!!
Downloading the beta right now, I am so damn excited!
I can't wait to see how this game stacks with Arkham City which is one of my favorite games of all time.
He already had the sequencer at the beginning, the warden gave him a card that he scanned with then sequencer so he could disable the asylums security gates.
Fantastic interview, from both sides
I'm not sure, but it seems when it comes to appearance, the computer readout looks "earlier version" like the costume, and I mean by appearance.

How do you jump over enemies to get behind them? I'm playing arkham asylum. I tried pressing X on Ps3 it didn't really work.
well I guess it's not connected with the video quality when there are no steps in the snow...
