  • Watch us turn these old scaffold boards into our downstairs window-sills..
    These boards costs us £15 from our local reclamation yard, and we decided to transform them into some solid wood features, costing us £30 in total!

    Silicone would be better if it’s not being painted. Decorators caulk will go black eventually. Also you can get a wire brush attachment that goes on an angle grinder save doing it by hand just another idea…

    Use an old lollipop stick to smooth the silicone as using a finger transfers bacteria to it. Nice job

    It looks lovely. If its by a window it may get wet, so you shold waterproof it jic

      Thank you! The wood & oil can be used outdoors, so it should be fine

    I've used caulk - and over time it cracks. Might be better to silicone
