They are so deliberate in every choice they make, they’re so respectful of the original artist and pay homage often. They are perfection!

And no instruments aside from their voices. Its crazy the level of talent they have. Each and every one of them. They've won 3 Grammys. I would like to recommend their first Grammy win which is Daft Punk. Their budget was about $400 and was filmed in the apartment of Avi Kaplan (bass) and Kevin Olusola(Beatboxer). And now, you're FINALLY reacting to the group who I personally give full credit to for getting me thru the pandemic! I came late to the party with Pentatonix, discovering them about a year ago just as the pandemic was kicking into high gear. I'm kinda embarrassed to say that, not only because they've been around for a decade now AND are from my home state of Texas, but they've literally released 100s of songs during that time. But i've made up for it over that last year, watching EVERY video and downloading EVERY album...and now I'm a proud Pentaholic and will never go back! These have to be the five (really six, since Matt has joined and Avi left) most talented people on the planet. Just FYI, they worked on this arrangement of this song for a whole five years before they finally recorded it out of respect for Freddie & Queen. The day it was released, Queen guitarist Brian May shared it on all of his social media platforms with just one word written in the description box: "ENJOY!" That's the best endorsement anyone could get!
What's pandemic? Oh yeah the one they tell you that some of the body but it's a really of the Mind. The mass media group psychology psychological operation is working very well on people.
It don't matter when you heard about them. You can enjoy them now and that is all that counts :)

You NEED to hear more Pentatonix! Their voices are like heaven to your ears! I highly recommend Hallelujah, Imagine, The Sound of Silence and Amazing Grace. You'll never forget hearing them. I've been waiting for you to experience Pentatonix!

The are the best. Well that is my opinion and I have heard lots of singers, bands, a capella, from Motown and rock and roll. Nothing better than these guys. I'm 73 years old and have listened to almost every type of music that is out there. :) Love you guys and your reaction.

PTX Has won 3 Grammys for Daft Punk, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Jolene with Dolly Parton. Amazing originals like Love Again or off thier new all original album called The Lucky Ones is called Coffee In Bed and it's a mind blowing beatboxing and bass line from Kevin and Matt.

Great reaction! I have seen this before and been amazed for sure! Vocals are out of this world! I just caught on to the homage they are paying specifically at the 7:00 mark (5:05 mark in the original video) to Dr Brian May, Queen's guitarist, who is an atstrophysicist -as they voice emulate Brian's guitar solo, they are showing the perseid meteor to the sound of his emulated guitar - that is genius!

You two do a great reaction video. As the video plays you emote but do not drown out the performance. So many others have their own volume turned up while they emote it distracts from the performance. But you two are marvelous and do it well.
Yes please go down The rabbit hole. If you haven't done any PTX start with hallelujah, imagine, daft punk, Mary did you know, love again which is an original. Also the songs off of their home EP were all done in quarantine. In February they released an album of all original songs. The Shot of the stars in the sky is a Nod to Brian may who is actually doctor Brian may. He has his PHD in astrophysics. Always wondered why there were 4 shooting stars and not 5 because Pentatonix has 5 members. Then when I read in a comment about the starry sky the for shooting stars made sense
Listen to more of their music and you too will become a Pentaholic. You should listen to them do Amazing Grace, it is a spiritual experience.

What can one say ?
I like this version much better than Queen's anyday. Never listened to it from Queen's before but since I heard it from PTX, I'm hooked. That's saying a lot for me.
This is not going to be a popular comment but it’s honest. I was 16 when Queen released this in 1975. I am not a fan of cover songs. I only know three good covers that add essence to the original so this just doesn’t cut it for me. I know you have heard the original. That song was a rock opera about Freddie Mercury, who was coming out as a gay man to his mum and the world. The man he killed was himself. Being gay in the 70s could destroy you. It could kill a man. It’s the story of Freddie, that could and should be only told by Freddie. He wrote it, arranged it, performed it and HE LIVED IT. Even to those of us who are not gay, the message was... live your own truth. Be honest about who you are and how you live. To you guys, it’s a great song. To those kids, it’s a vocal challenge. To me, it’s a story only Freddie can tell because he spoke directly to my generation. Yes they have a talent but some songs are sacred and should not be copied.

You are obviously not aware of the FACT that both Scott and Mitch (who split the lead vocals on this song) from Pentatonix are also gay, and grew up closeted in EXTREMELY conservative Arlington, Texas. So yes, they lived it too. I have always been a big fan of Queen from the time the band started, and I still remember the day that as an 11-year-old when I heard this song for the first time and it completely blew me away. I don't remember ever having that feeling again until I heard the Pentatonix cover for the first time last year. Brian May LOVED this cover, and Freddie would have loved it too.
