CRAZIEST SETUP EVER | Compound turbo, billet K24, S2000

- We’ve all seen an s2000, but never an s2000 like this one! To start off, the car is swapped with a BILLET K24. The car also has a compound turbo setup running over 70 pounds of boost! (Soon to be 100+) This car is notorious for picking the front wheels up on previous setups, and the car proved that it is still very capable of doing that on the new setup! Not to mention in this video, the car breaks the record for worlds fastest stock chases s2000!

Little bit different than the mr2 being the motors up front. He would need weights which he bought sandbags for to help even his front end out. That and his strain gauge setup once thats dialed in then he will have alot more control on his wheelies

This guy is local to me and he is easily one of the best builders and tuners I’ve ever met personally. He builds more than just Honda’s. I’ve seen a tt coyote he built making about 1300 wheel and it was a monster

I have been telling all the CZcams drag racers to go compound turbo setup for the longest time and none of them took it to heart ! Glad someone is showing that I'm right ! Tear them up brother !
I love the creative solution - the turbos seem to fit together so well with the bumper exit exhaust. Impressed by the 150+ MPH in the 1/8th.
So much for getting on his dyno now.... Jarvis's is big time now.

Tractor pullers been running compound turbos for decades. As many as 4 turbos. And over 200 pounds of boost . And that is why they blow engines in half.

It’s interesting that someone can have something that appears to be a weird deformity or whatever you want to call it, but the people that know what it is think “man that guy put in some work and earned those” LOL. If you’re making a lot of power, compounds are the way to go for efficiency and heat management. They take a lot of work to get right but the results can be phenomenal.
Yea I'm not sure why you don't see more of this. It' should also spool very quickly
Compond can have trouble with the first turbo feeding the second turbo hot air, making the setup inefficient because the intake air can reach very high temperatures.
A intercooler or Water sprayer of some sort is often needed between the turboes to control the intake temps.
I think the only reason he can run without a intercooler between the turboes could be because the first big turbo only makes 1 bar or something fairly low, and the second smaller one does most of the pressure difference.
@@larsjrgensen5975 nup. Just run on methanol, and only a regular sized water to air intercooler is needed.

@@bss9829 Why? The current setup would do 1400ish at sea level, with the gates held shut.
His setup has the head room for a mid 7 power wise, keeping the nose down is their real problem, a more responsive compound setup would make it even harder to keep the wheels down.
I mean you're definitely not wrong but that's not always most efficient to run things at their Max capabilities, I guess I should rephrase what I said he doesn't need to have them but it would be pretty cool. I was just at cleetus and cars and seen the MR2 Wheelie, things a beast!
I love kyle's mr2 turbo setup but he should really start to mess with the nose sensor to keep the car down ! Is thought that its gonna slow the car down is just plain wrong! Lifting your foot is way slower than the computer cutting a bit of timing

Here in England we have a tiny drag community. I'd love if you did a "idiot's guide" to drag racing and the way turbos/drag setups work.
I love 1320 and I've bought your merchandise (super rare for me). I just wish I understood more about the scene in the states.
This s2000 is more relatable for me as we have them here. But the US 'traditional' drag cars, we only get as super rare imports. So half of them I've never heard of 🤣
