- As often as we see our pal Stuart from T1 Racing Development out with his s2000, it never seems to be often enough! We can’t remember the last time we ran into him and he wasn’t actively breaking records or doing something insanely impressive with his daily / race car! Stuarts chariot he takes to work is the same work horse that he runs 8 second passes at the drag drip with, and now nearly 200mph in the half mile! Stuarts s2000 is a WILDLY impressive work of art, and we’re always happy to catch him getting faster with it! This time we ran into him at the Indy Airstrip Attack, put on by Shift S3ctor and Revolution as one of a handful of 1/2 miles they put on across the US.

I have another level of respect for people that dont swap perfectly good motors and figure out how to overcome the limit everyone else hit and stopped or swapped. Much respect dude
The engine is his limit tho.
That’s why people have swapped them out for something different.
The engine scene is a lot different for this type of racing- than say your backyard drag racer- say like where ole Cleeter started. Some of these people have no qualms dropping $120,000 on a Steve Morris engine and it’s supporting mods- put it to $150,000 plus.

Rolling with the F22, smart man. Honda owners always roll with a k-series or b-series, but the F22 is such an underrated motor. Which is why I'm keeping/building my F22B2 97 Honda Accord. Great strong motor, already set to turbocharge.
It’s a great motor for s2000’s, but if you ever have to replace it it’s worth 6x your car
Swap it. The dohc f series are awesome. Sohc not so much unless you want a car for you gma that’s gonna pass emissions

A rear diffuser is more effective and less drag than a top mounted wing. If i was him I’ll ditch the wing for a nice diffuser.

Have always been a fan of one of the only RWD Honda models ever made, yet seeing this car do run after run after run on boost and seeing zero mechanical failures is a real treat. Curious to see if different race spec classification would be required to up the game and stuff a boosted K24A into the car, and how much easier it hits/passes the 200MPH mark.
K wouldn't make much more power than F22C, maybe bit more torque in k24 guise. Crank on FxxC series is stronger obviously..
I'd just LS swap it like mine. They are ultimately faster with less than 60lbs more weight (T56 trans)..

The s2000 came with the perfect motor in it. Swapping to anything else will just hamper the performance of a light quick little car. Especially an Ls. The Ls has its applications. I just think the weight of a large v8 would disrupt the cars balance to much and also up the power to weight ratio anyhow. Have a look at the S2k Brent is building on Pfi tuning. Type in youtube search "pfi tuning Sho Nuff"

You are talking bullshit lol. I have an LS3 S2K fully caged/dry sumped etc only one in the world with the soft top and FIA homoglation w/V8.
It weighs 60lbs more than stock (almost all in gearbox) and retains 50:50. LS has lower CoG to boot.
It has 3x the torque of the stock engine, at idle. If you honestly think you'll get a stock one round any track faster, I have property on venus to sell you.

I had a T1 resonated test pipe on my ITR swap Integra, shit was like $500 but totally worth it, was the best mod I ever did and set my car apart from the typical sounding Honda with straight pipe

I really respect people that don’t swap their s2k’s. It’s mulch harder to make bigger power and be competitive on the 2.0 so props to him for not taking the easy way of 2j or ls🙌

The Honda S2000 is my favourite mass produced car. THIS S2000 is my absolute favourite car! I wish I owned this exact one.
Beautiful is the S2000 and very impressive to see an drag car with a spoiler instead of the drag wing for drag racing purposes
Man T1 is badass at all they do!! Around 10 years ago they built a turbo kit for my buddy Jeff’s S2K and it made 701hp to the tires 100% bonestock except like injectors and fuel pump I believe...black AP1 we called The S2K from hell 🤙🏼
That breakup through the low to mid range is keeping that s2000 from hitting 200 before the 1/2 mark.

I put down a 187.67 mph pass in my 67 Firebird. It’s got an Lexus LFA power plant- the 1LR-GUE V-10 and a 6XD 6 speed dog box, Currie Enterprises quick change rear end, Strange Engineering LSD, 40 spline axles. If you’re on Instagram take a peak 🇺🇸💋❤️💕🥰
P.S everyone needs a Mo in their life.
My racing revolves around 600+ inches & big turbo's but this little Honda impresses the shit out of me. Advice, find more mph on the outside. Put a 2" splitter on the chin spoiler, put a row of VG's on the back of the roof, lose the park-bench wing & add a decklid extension with fences. If you still want more put a full belly pan under it with a rear upsweep. You'll be looking back at 200 & you might need a bigger gear or a taller tire.

Next time he should try wingless, but with a low drag rear diffuser. Would probably produce just as much down force, but with less drag. Lighter wheels would also help

Had that 200mph easy with better aero. Still basically stock body, and open front fascia. Closed front, rear mounted intercooler, and that would be 200 right there... flat floor for a few 100 more dollars and tinkering for a few more mph i'd guess
