"Beater Bomb" is a household name in the street racing world. It's commonly known as a one of the fastest small tire cars in the country, but what many don't realize is that it's not necessarily the power-plant that wins races for this Fox Body. We've been filming Joey and the Beater Bomb since he started racing on the streets, in this Episode of 1320Stories, we get the full back story on the Beater Bomb Mustang, and a little insight into how this car gets the job done on any racing surface.

Great racer. I have a signed poster of him racing Billy from SRC in the Falcon at Da Pad. He's also the reason I gave the oil-less turbos from Comp Turbos a try and I've never been happier. Being able to position a turbo in any orientation is a total game changer when it comes to packaging.

Hearing of beater bomb about a year and a half ago makes me a proud owner of an 1982 4 eye fox with the 5.0 302 with the 4 speed manual. My dad bought it when I was 1 year old off his best friend and handed me the keys on my 16th birthday. Still rust free (we live in Ontario canada) and has been off the road since 08 because of dads growing family. Started and ran every year so it wouldn’t go bad. Needs a nice restoration but still has 96,000 original kms on it. Loveeeee that car that’s why I’m a gear head today
People that aren’t from Ontario can’t understand how big of a feat that is man. Our climate is bad enough and then add all the road salt and 3 year old vehicles have rust.
Lucky to have one. Here in Nova Scotia I see a foxbody on the streets once in a blue moon and it always puts a smile on my face.

That’s why that cars never seen the road past October until April as long as it’s been in the family and it never ever will😅🤣 the restoration is getting started in the next year or so by dad and I and it’s getting completely blacked out with a nice B303 cam🤙🏻
@@allan775 I’m blessed to have acquired it for sure. Same I rarely see them here in Ontario but sure love it when I do! We have a local around with pristine condition 93 fox that’s painted orange and he runs fat radials in the summer it’s a sick car
I’m 20 now and almost 4 years ago i got my 83 4 eye 5.0 for my senior project. Love the car and can’t wait for the next stage of the project

Love Beaterbomb. One of the most feared cars. Things just an animal. I’ve always respected Joey’s work ethic and take care of business approach, while still maintaining that humble, fun having vibe. Always a good video when he’s racing.
Joey you're the man and a fine example of sportsmanship to follow. Friend of mine who is very successful in racing also preaches that 90% of what it takes to win is done before you arrive at the track.

The launches that guy puts down on the street show how much further he goes then others, neat to see the long history of the car, that rollcage is amazing!
Glad to see him giving more open giving interviews and backstory about his self if u watched him from time he started he didn't make it eazy to like him it was the competitive side of him but over the years he's changed and it's alot cooler to see but he still keeps that get what u give get respect if give respect ..towards one's who wants to see him fail at end of the day it all about having fun doing something u like doing with family and friends and making new ones along the way that share same interest 👍always injoy his content hes earned his respect

Love Joey's moto and when watching "WORD ON THE STREET PODCAST " WE GET TO HEAR ABOUT THE NEXT CHAPTER IN JOEY AND THE GREAT BEATERBOMB...when I'm bored, or hear car talk I have BEATERBOMB on my playlist to just show how mind numbingly fast the car is when hitting top end speed, INFACT I've seen many many foxbodys set up with the front travel and speed thereafter..IMHO, that because of the BEATERBOMB set up and single turbo...that a great record 30 wins - 3 loses, and 1 if them was the falcon at the pad...Joey even helped the falcon out with some parts before the race....this Joey is going to have a everlasting effect on the next generation...WEATHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT JOEY, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU BECOME THE ELDER TO THE NEW DRIVERS AND ITS NOT ONLY YOU MY FRIEND ...CAN'T WAIT FOR 2023 RACING FOR YOU TO START...

Yoo Joey, I started watching 1320 at the same time as you're featured. I remember that's how I got into cars and racing. I was still in high school at the time and now I am almost 30 and still love street racing have a street/strip car that I love thanks to the motivation from watching you and 1320

Bought my first foxbody when I was 16 back in 2004. 100% stock other than exhaust. And I’ve been hooked ever since lol.
Joey and his team put in the work and it shows. Nothing is by chance in ANYTHING competitive, if you want to win you need to work your ass off. He does and it shows, Beater Bombs record speaks for itself.
Beaterbomb and kc max are my favorites. Both good money makers.
That man is the reason I came back to street racing, Joey seems like a humble great guy that has earned his bragging rights someone to idolize!
Humble... in a way I suppose. He is like a couple dozen other guys I know who live near him that race, he is understated but gets in their heads in other ways.

Pretty damned good video. I've been impressed with the Beater every since I first saw it on the internet. He keeps working at it and it keeps getting faster. Like he said - there's always fast cars out there somewhere. Love to watch Beater Bomb and the Hoskin's family. Hopefully Joey and Billy will get to race again and both make it to the finish line this time.

I enjoy this content. I didn't grow up in racing. I didn't have a dad that shared the hobby with me. I've grown into the tiny knowledge I possess and learning the history of such a huge player in the motorsports community is rad.

I remember the old days when Stormin' Norman paid ROUSH to build his convertible and we had Gene Deputy with the Texas Turbo. Those two started the foxbody craze, and then Ronnie Crawford engineered the 347 - I miss those days but thankful to have seen and met those gentlemen at the track.

I mean there’s not a ton of mystery motor setups, it ain’t hard to build a super powerful race engine, but hooking like he does on an unprepared surface, that’s where the magics at.

My brother had a second Gen firebird esprit with a 400 GTO Judge engine in it.
Kids at his high school would actually pay HIM to want to race him. The car was so powerful and fast that our father had to detune the engine.
5.0 foxbodys had no chance against him.
Beater bomb is one of my favorite street racers. Hearing him talk gave me a better insight into what that race program is all about. I respect beater Bomb even more now and will continue to cheer for him at the races I catch.
A few cars are notorious in my lifetime of racing, red demon, godzilla, and beater bomb. Great episode.
