let's just all take a moment to appreciate David Lovering's ultra-consistent and solid drumming. Dude has always been a powerful, tasteful, and dynamic drummer.
let's just appreciate how good Frank's voice is in 2022 .....one of the most innovative song writer of these last 40 years . Saw them back in 89 /90/93 & i was literally blown away
I'm 60 yrs old now. Seems these guys have been performing forever! So different. So good! Still killin' the shit out of it. Who would've thought that they could find a replacement for Kim! Paz is 👍💯💯 Long live THE PIXIES!!!
I know Kim Deal was iconic...but I don't think the Pixies could have done better than Paz as replacement. Her voice blends really nicely with Frank's, her playing is dynamic, she's got good energy and, style-wise, she's the perfect fit.
Set List ------ 1. Planet of Sound 2. Vault of Heaven 3. Nimrod’s Son 4. Here Comes your Man 5. Gouge Away 6. Human Crime 7. Monkey Gone to Heaven 8. Caribou 9. Hey 10. Gigantic 11. Who’s More Sorry Now ? 12. There’s a Moon On
Maybe I am completely wrong…and don’t mind correcting me…but they (Joey and Charles) have the exact instruments I.e. Telecaster and Gold Les Paul Gibson has in 1991 Bristol Comcert???? With Marshall Analog Tube Amps…Maybe I am hallucinating cause of LSD also…
Yep. Imagine that, real people in total joy. I hope Europe wins and a new reign of happiness and horniness and intellect rises again. River Euphrates is starting over again...
Barely even touch any of the songs. I can't help but notice they really just seem to play all the same songs constantly, even with a completely new album and new songs that they could be playing but no ... same old songs all the time, you think you will get them to play trompe le monde or even dig for fire? Oh hell no, expect only the same old songs over and over and over and over and over and over... kinda lame and disappointing
You see those kids all jumping together at 31:31?----that is why Western Civilization is both the prettiest and sublime-est of all civilizations: this music and happening is the perfection of the 3000 years of Ecstasy Religions of the ancients: Orpheus, Dionysus-Bacchus, Cytherea-Venus, all of them, we made the electricity and the electric guitars: the intensity of euphoria is at zenith for the human psyche, as well as melancholy, wonder, tragedy, revolt, anger, longing, awe, and all the rest of it: this is what rock n roll made. It is a monument to sensibility and emotiveness. From Muddy Waters to The Rolling Stones To The Velvet Underground To Jimi Hendrix To T Rex To PiL to The Pixies, Life thrives here.

This IS good
I look at all these kids, they weren't even born when I discovered the Pixies. I guess that's the power of music.
Thank you.
Specifically, the power of good music!
I just fell in love with Paz again during "Here Comes Your Man". God, the woman is adorable.
she is the best bass player replacement to Kim Deal - her backing vocals are just mint
Paz Lenchantin fit perfectly into the band.
Thank you so fuckin much for recording and posting this.
Great crowd, love the reactions and enthusiasm :)
Great ! Thank you!

I've seen them in Cardiff and they played 11 songs from the new album!
