My god. What a badass girl. Not afraid to cover from the best guitar player in the whole world. She does great!!!!
It’s sad when young musicians are criticised when they are performing live at a big festival for missing notes or not sounding like the original artists but are putting on their own interpretation in a spectacular way. They are not a tribute band and over the years many artists have performed other artists music in their own way. These girls are good and can hold a big stage really well.
yes it is thought they were great
Who the hell complained about that? These gals FRIGGIN ROCKED IT! The energy was off the charts! And that base player is nuts! Love them!
My only critique for Haim is, please do some original stuff with this massive stage vibe! Make it and I’ll buy it!
OMG - if there is one thing we've learned on youtube, it's that those classic rock bands - or any bands - are very careless on stage. Sloppy playing, so-so singing. Except for the energy, and maybe volume - they often do a terrible job!
I find these ladies not great, but damn - they pump out the energy! They did a good job on this song.
who is criticizing?
I’m 67 and to be honest thought this would be disappointing. Bloody hell I was wrong. They did this with so much energy and style while adding their own flair to the song. Really enjoyed this performance! Great Stuff!
me too!been a fan ever since ,i stop by because this is a peter Greene song,ye pretty good performance
Your first instincts were correct, they're shyte.
singing is whack in this they also miss a really important note in the intro repeatedly. I still enjoyed it and its really good.
I had no idea that song was from Fleewood Mac
Hi...I'm 68 and WOW I totally agree!! I think Peter Green would have been so proud of these amazing ladies!!! They put a real HAIM twist on it and nailed it!!
This was an old school traditional kick ass live performance...pure energy and groove.
Damn straight! :D
"This used to be", it is true and still remains a master piece. But now I witnessed a massacre...
and zero technique. She's unable to repeat even the riff with the right notes.
I was digging it until that beautiful ringing feedback from the guitar, then I fell in love with this performance... and at 3:00 when she starts plucking that open bass string, adding to the rumble of the drums... and the closing jam! 4 1/2 minutes of joy.
Agree. The haters are very full people.
I think these young ladies did an excellent job on this song nothing better than old rock and roll it's nice to see the younger musicians singing the old songs
I've watched and listened to this performance a whole buncha times. Fresh and electrifying every time. I love it!
sad, i could not even get through it once!
Takes guts to pull a song this old out to a crowd this young! They did it justice, that is for sure!
Agree
Nah, it's an absolute banger. Anyone can rock to this song.
A great jam is a great jam no matter when.
It is a wonderful version of the song and it takes a lot of courage for any band to play a Peter Green song. Cheers Bravo!!
They
Not only are they playing Fleetwood Mac, they’re playing Pete Green Fleetwood Mac. Phenomenal.
Yes, the Peter Green era ! Accept no substitute.
Good call!
The only fleetwood mac that counts, mate.
No Part two? Oh well.
Dreadful nol talent lot the same bkring
I will always love Haim. I met Este when she was a hostess at a restaurant in 06 and while I waited for my table we chatted about her band with her sisters in which they were struggling to get gigs after doing a short-lived Disney show. She is a sweetheart and extremely talented.
The most bad ass version of oh well i ever witnessed. Awesome!!
How many have you witnessed? 1?
I am a 54 year old guitarist who has grown up with and performed this song,so naturally I had to check it out. I don't mind saying, they did a pretty freaking awesome job to me! It's not a song meant to be taken seriously and they get that. They're having fun with it and it shows, all the while adding their own twist to it. Hat off to them! Plus the fact that they know this song says they've done their homework. I'll say this though....that bassist makes some pretty epic stage faces!
The Queen of Bass Face!
The reincarnation of Angus Young!🥴
It don't mater if you heard it back when "Mac" had done it or not. The ladies played it like they owned it and did it justice. Well done.
Check out The Rockets version
These girls kicked ass and I'm a 72 year old Bassist
Ehhh? That's a bit of a reach, but then You probably never heard the original nor part 2.
simps everywhere ha ha!
He is 72 years old I’m 74 and saw Fleetwood Mac 100 times
Fabulous cover! I didn't expect to see such exuberance! They really captured the feel of the sixties and left a taste of it in the twenties! Great job!
I had never heard Haim before. Stumbled across this video the other night. Now I can't get enough of it. Love the false ending and then everything just explodes in the finale. And I am in love with the bass player and her insane energy.
Me too!! ❤
Very underrated band, deserves more spotlight 👏
Look, if you have never played a show on stage, you just do not know. These ladies are playing their hearts out. It's all real. Great energy.😎👍✨
They're epic. Those girls can't do a thing wrong
I was their tourbus driver for their spring summer tour 16.
I have been entertainer coach driver for 25 years and have never worked with nicer Kinder professional people, I hope to work with them again sometime
I love that these girls are just girls having fun playing music. No ego, no rock star persona. Just nice girls.
They really are good at what they do and they are sweet beyond belief, I can just tell! Glad you had a good time driving them around, I could only wish!
It's great to hear that in this day with all the negative people out there that these girls are good people who are good at making music.
They seem awesome. Glad to hear they really are.
Jeffrey, could you kindly recommend a promising coach company...drove rig for a touring band, but wanna get in the bus. Thanks, TJ
This is awesome. Channeling the true meaning of the song. Great ambassadors of Peters music and keeping it alive and relevant. RIP Peter Green.
This video was the first time I’d heard “oh well” 7 years ago now.. and since then Fleetwood Mac (both Peter greens and the more modern FM) have become my all time favourite band! I am Fleetwood obsessed 100% crazy!!
Audacious and well played live cover of a classic. Not many can pull that off, Haim did.
Played in the true spirit of the original, no need to compare
Great point Hilary - well said ✌️🇬🇧👍..
Well put. Cheers
Right ! So much ‘comparing’ on YT .... just enjoy
Darn right Hillary! When I first heard this, I loved it because they did play it in that spirit of the original. When I expected that extra solo and jam, there it was! Yea, R.I.P. Peter. I know this version does him proud! These girls, sisters (which is amazing too!), and the rest of these excellent musicians, have done this song originally by Fleetwood Mac, and all the people involved in the original *very proud!* Great jam girls! And guys! ;) You are talented musicians obviously in your own rights! Look forward to hearing more!

@@dennismohican599 Peter would have loved it for sure...when you do a cover, do your thing and let the chips fall where they may....occasionally that leads to magic
That wonderful rock energy continues to be passed on down through the generations. Great interpretation, loved it.
I agree Eugene. Rock and Roll has always been about attitude and energy. These ladies were haulin' both.
Haim blown away! Danielle has that Gibson SG screaming. These ladies really put on a show.
I have the same exact guitar and I couldn't remotely make it do what she's doing she's a great guitarist
@@kevinfryer6372 I'm not a musician at all so you're still light years ahead of me haha. I'd only seen their music videos so the live performance surprised me...these ladies rock!
To their credit, 4 mins plus of guitar driven rock and no tremelo picking, dive bombs or tapping to speak of.
As said, in the spirit of the original indeed. And a sun had its hat on too, making me feel warmer just watching it. For that alone on this cold, blustery UK night, I'm grateful.
Great to hear a song 50 years on.......well done, guys! This Fleetwood Mac fan likes you loads!
I see what you did there, creepy guy.
It feels GOOD to see a young rock band!
I can't say I've been a huge fan of all their music, but holy mother of god do they show their chops here. I will be paying more attention to these talented women!
I so love this performance - these sisters ROCK👍🎸💥
RIP Peter Green. He must have loved this, as he was never afraid of being a bit experimental.
I did not know Peter Green had gone to the Happy Hunting Ground...Last I heard he was trying to make a comeback.
these girls prove rock 'n' roll ain't dead yet ... and it's okay to do it your own way ... love to hear more stuff like this from this band. keep on rockin' and stay loyal to your self don't change in MTV Dolls.
Oh yeah xSchmitterSx. Right on. There's no kick ass rock like this anymore. Put your own stamp on it and rock it hard! Classic song, done their way and they should be proud. Maybe ColdPlay or Dave Mathews could have done better??? NOT!!!!
Haim the bass player can play circles around Mcvie. she toured with Jeff Beck for two years. I saw the original Fleetwood Mac play Oh Well in February 69. Haim's crew held their own to Green's Fleetwood Mac. I really doubt the critics ever saw Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac

@@shariklein5883
MOT?? None of the definitions make any sense.
These young people are doing a great job with a fantastic song. I'm old enough to remember Peter Green with Fleetwood Mac. These folks are really giving it some oomph!!👍😇
Don't you just love it when a band take a near impossible task of taking a great song and making it there own!
Roll over Peter, I hope they do other songs off "Then Play on" by FM.
What a fantastic version of a fantastic song. Great energy and dynamics. And superb tone from that SG.
It's great to hear Haim's cover of this classic. And I give them much credit for capturing the feel of it. RIP Peter Green.
I'm 65, reasonably wide traveled, and this is the best female band representing their genre I have ever heard. Excellent creation, ladies.
How much is ever? more like never!
Check out Fanny bud. 😇
@@rodkirkbride2230 For sure! Those ladies are criminally unknown - what a band!
This is REAL music......A 45 year old rock song (at the time of this vid) and it still is freakin kick ass.
Jesus, if my daughters had a band like that I would be so proud
Sounds like you are really ashamed of your daughters now? ;-)
@@justgivemethetruth No, idiot.
@@fredmila
True, I am no idiot. Sorry you cannot take a joke, but why put out a stupid statement like that that basically just says your daughter can't do anything you are proud of. Think about it, or maybe think about it next time you open your yap.
@@justgivemethetruth You're the one being stupid, this isn't a comment about his daughters, who he's no doubt well proud of in their own right. He's just saying these girls have done an awesome job. Pull your head in.
@@thomidog9047
Sorry, but you are just ignoring the total meaning of the original comment, like of all the things to say to be a sniveling positive mouse but not even give any thought to the actual implication, and the daughter would probably wonder about it because it was a ... er, not the smartest comment he could have made.
I loved this in the sixties and still love it now at seventy years . May God bless and keep rocking on in a positive manner .
Paying homage to an already great song while simultaneously making it your own is the essence of a great cover.
It’s hell of a rocking version of Oh well. I love these girls
Lovely to see these young musicians acknowledging music history, a very influential song, most in that crowd probably never heard it - love it
probably true, although the more die-hard Haim fans in the crowd would have been well aware of its origin, as Oh Well was a permanent fixture in their set from 2012 to 2014. I was there (9th time of seeing them!), but remember the original from when I was young!
Great to see them reviving it. PG would have been proud. RIP
In what universe do you think that most of these rock fans haven't heard this song?
@@jg3019 I don't know just an assumption but this wasn't exactly a major hit that got any radio airplay beyond the 70's FM era. I'm 50 and heard it many times back then and learned to play it and loe it but I wouldn't expect most kids today at age 15 or 20 buying tickets to see Haim have ever heard it.
@@204776439 yeah fair enough. You're probably right. Sorry I got so aggressive 😀. It just infuriates me that there are people on this earth who haven't yet heard this masterpiece!
I was listening to Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac 50 years ago... I'm impressed with this cover! Stellar job capturing the energy, tone and vibe of the song. Well done, indeed!
I'm just glad that the youngsters appreciate good music enough to have a good go at it in their own way. Greetings from an oldie who saw the real band play it live.
OUTSTANDING
One of the greatest songs ever written by a very troubled man. Peter, may you have found peace at last...!
I agree this tune was performed by the original Fleetwood Mac, but it's covered with Peter Green's fingerprints. Black Magic Woman, Rattlesnake Shake, Green Manalishi, this tune, there are so many amazing songs Mr. Green wrote and performed that so few people know of, or at least know Fleetwood Mac were the originators of them. Peter Green is (was?) an absolute genius.
I hate to say I've never heard of this band til this very moment.. .. But these girls can jam... Great cover of this legendary fm tune... Wow!!
Hey dude I'm with you my feelings exactly
Skyy2 me neither but mannnnn they did a good job. Love this tune
Well, Haim are pretty world-famous now...
Jamming old school is an art indeed
They suck - just a lot poor guitar playing, poor singing & hair flipping...
This is pure musical fire !!! It just can't get any better than this... just love it ! The guys from the FM have to love the way they show respect to this piece.
Well done Haim, I love you !
This band did a great job covering “Oh Well” and when I look on stage I see women and men.
Their energy is awe inspiring
It's great to see young people rediscover the rock music I grew up with. They really seem to enjoy it.
Yeah, unfortunately there is so much modern rubbish people gotta go backwards to hear how good music really can be.
@@chrisdee5032 Right you are mate.
This ABSOLUTELY ,BANGS !. nothing to criticize here. She is totally spanking that SG.. it's awesome.
So great to see young musicians actually, you know, playing instruments. No green screens, laptops, samples, lip syncing or T&A dancing. Rare and very refreshing
Real show, real musicians, real music, guts and glam, I thought FM was dead, great cover!
Oh man, good stage presence, loved it.
There might be rock hope for this new generation yet. Good on them for bringing it
Of course, why'd you think otherwise? Still plenty of people into rock.
Just discovered them.
Great, high energy, total commitment and great music!
Reminds me of this lyric:
Out there in the spotlight you're a million miles away
Every ounce of energy you try to give away
Wow, stellar! Gave me goosebumps... Such energy. Everyone on stage gave 200% and you can feel it. Wish I had been in the crowd rocking to this. Well done! 👍
I Love These Girls. This Song Is Great. I'm 55, and I'm Diggin' This Tune. These Chics Absolutely ROCK!!!! Live Long And Prosper, Ladies :)
One of my favorite songs and such a kickass cover! Peter Green is happy.
This was great. Didn't think it would be. Good to see younger musicians playing this with the flavor of original .
These girls tore it up. OMG
This makes me remember rock and roll is still a thing, and a beautiful one at that.
To be fair, this is a great version of the Fleetwood Mac classic! Not sure why anyone would give it a thumbs down!
I have to listen to this every time I visit CZcams, excellent performance...
This band Rocks
I remember being obsessed with this cover of them in high school! long live haim and fleetwood mac

Haim? Freaking Awesome!😳🤯👍x 10
Literally 1 of the most entertaining bands I've ever seen, been going to gigs for 30 years + They play all types of music, they were so entertaining when I saw them.
Great cover, great performance. Way to bring something older to new generations of music fans.
These three sisters always put on a great show. Their energy is fanatastic.

They are BRILLIANT. I AM A BLUES MAN BUT THOSE KIDS SENT TINGLES ALL OVER MY SCALP AND SPINE WITH THERE VITALITY AND ENJOYMENT. And they can REALLY PLAY!!!!! That is one of the best performances of music I have ever seen. A work of ART.
easily pleased huh . . .
Just bloody insane 😳 these girls know how to rock that's for damn sure. They look great & so relaxed. Awesome
I saw them live at Austin City Limits Festival in 2016. They are for real. Sadly, female bands often get dismissed as gimmicky, which is unfair, but these ladies brought it live. They are more pop sounding as a band than this song, but they definitely did this justice. Takes courage to bust that tune out on front of a modern festival crowd.
I saw them live in London and they were amazing, love their stage presence 🧡🧡🧡
Just stumbled on the band.
Got the grab you vibe.
Right music
Super stardom.
I think the days where female rock bands were seen as 'gimmicky' are long past. Try to listen to Dea Matrona (girl rock trio) from northern Ireland. They do this and a lot of other older rock and are absolutely great.
Gimmicky... yep, in this case. Look at the clothing style. If you think that wasn't intentional....
@@colaboytje explain how clothes women wear everyday esp in their age group is a gimmick. They could fit into the audience. You are actually taking the fact that you find them attractively dressed and turning it into an accusation against them.
This performance kicks total ass. Love the attitude, stage presence and the way they just take the song and make it their own and if you don't like it whatever but if you do jump onboard and let's rock. That's rock & roll. Get some ladies.
I am 58 i know this song. Look in the audience they have no clue.
Great version. LOVE IT
