i'm a zillion years old and have been to several Mac concerts; This gave me goosebumps, thank you for posting Florence's one time performance of the chain.
Some people are impossible to please. I don't really even like Florence and the Machine but this is an excellent cover. The talent and energy is there, and you can see the whole band is into it., as is the crowd.
How could anyone like this song and dislike this performance? It was from the heart and they did the song justice. If you disliked this video you probably got mega blocks as a child and never legos and still cant let go off that disappointment.
The cover was great, it was not identical and they took their own version which i find fitting, they seem to enjoy themselves quite a lot. Also, the camera work is great, i bet a lot of the cameramen know the song, many of the camera changes were on time and on relevant song changes, they are so good they are capturing what we want to see, changes between the faces, the instruments, the hands, the expressions, even the stomping barefeet and the spontaneous dancing.
You know concert footage gets edited, right? Like they film from all angles and then put together something awesome like this so the angles change with the musical timing. ❤️
Victor Lugosi You ARE missing the point. They’re not playing it to try and outdo the original. They wouldn’t cover it if it didn’t mean something to them or had some impact in their life. It’s a form of paying respect. That may be too hard for you to comprehend.

No matter where you hear this piece of music you know exactly what it represents. The last two minutes of this song transends music. Formula 1 came home last year...
Wow, a lot of haters. Here's two things to consider: 1) This band will be the first to admit it doesn't sound as good as the original; 2) Still, it sounds better than 95% of the crap on the radio today. So ask yourself why you're hating.
To me the only thing wrong was the Aquestic guitar wasn't high pitched enough (but that's normal cause fleetwoods was special made for that song) and the bass wasn't high enough and was a little to deep other then that they did fine.
+DaFuq no he said in an interview once that his Aquestic guitar was special made and had its own tune and was able to change how high or low it could go. And he did the same for the song that was actually so posed to be the chain it was called keep me there it was the second chain song the first was called butter cookie but they never made it to the concert just to one album but there both VERY rare to find cause only did one recording. Sense they had the chain made. The song keep me there had the same music to it but it more mellow and had different lyrics. In my opinion it was there best song idk why they didn't just put it out instead of the chain, or put both out.
Very interesting cover. She put her soul into. Needless to say, a lot of people probably didn't like her voice, but I think it's unique. So is Stevie Nicks voice. She had an amazing energy on stage, and I think, it was an overall great performance.
Nice tribute by Flo + company of a great Mac song. Gotta give her kudos for covering this. Fleetwood Mac was the music of my teenage years and 20's, very little today compares to the music of the 60's and 70's. I'm glad I grew up in the 60's and 70's with some of the best music ever, but glad to see artists in succeeding decades put out great music, and Florence Welch is definitely one of them.

To people saying she cannot sing, have you ever listened to her other songs? Especially "No Light, No Light"? Because I've never heard such a powerful voice before. I get it. Some people like the original version of this cover better, and that is okay, that's what we call "tastes", and they differ from one to another. This is a cover, of course it would be different from the original, that is what a cover is about. Liking it or not is up to you, but saying that has horrible singing skills is both disrespectful and false. Please listen to her original songs before making such a quick judgement.
She can definitely sing. Florence is so talented but this is not the right type of song for her. She would have needed to lower the pitch in her voice in the non chorus parts.
Beautiful as always. It's a shame Flo doesn't want to cover it again. Her technique got even better, I feel like a recent version would be transcendental 😍
I've been playing the euphonium for nine years and bass for three, but that's bass clef, so I'm lost in all of this vocal stuff. What I meant by my comment was it's obvious that the Fleetwood Mac version is better; this version lacks the harmonies and general passion of the original. However, Florence isn't an awful vocalist in her own right, and while this isn't fantastic, it's also not horrible.
NateSpurs then I'm unsure as to why you commented on my original comment in the first place? It had nothing to do with the musicianship of either band, I was just stating that I enjoyed both Florence Welch and Fleetwood Mac. Never did I once say anything about Florence's backing band. Thanks for coming out.
You were implying EVERYONE should chill out. Well not everybody here is criticising the vocals :) I think the bass is the main issue that's all, and it really is very bad. Anyway, as you were ;)
I truly believe this song sounds amazing on any cover by any band, never gets old, and i'm sad because i listened it for the first time ever while whatching Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2
Florence is fantastic, she has a beautiful voice but I also love the fact that she does a cover specifically for that gig. All those people are getting something that has never been seen or heard from her and no one else will ever get to see. Thats pretty special!
Almost everyone who covers this song comes to tears. My god "If you don't love me know, you will never love me again" just says it all ! Florence and the Machine CRUSHED IT !!!! so fucking talented!
I absolutely love Florence, and I love this song. If only I could have been there to listen to it live. Also to the people who say it's just horrible, how?!?! Yeah they're not Fleetwood Mac, and of course they will never top the original but that's not the intention. They're paying tribute to a band that inspired them. Florence is a unique vocalist, and she brings a very different texture to the song.
Unique texture is one thing. Hitting glaringly wrong notes is a whole 'nother thing, and that's why it's horrible. There's too many crap bands today, and apparently crap fans also, who can't recognize musicians with terrible ears.
I wouldn't say it's terrible. The band nails it, but Florence doesn't have the right phrasing, timbre, or tone to convey Lindsey's vocal delivery. She also misses a ton of notes and sounds flat at times. Florence is a great singer in her own right, but when you measure her versus Lindsey Buckingham or Stevie Nicks, especially when she is singing one of Fleetwood Mac's songs, it's not difficult to understand why people would be turned off of this rendition. I liken this to The Smashing Pumpkins covering Landslide. The voice isn't good enough with certain vocal phrasing or techniques to even come close to delivering the essence of the original song. A couple examples of covers I think are better than the original: Machine Head's "Message In A Bottle," Faith No More's "War Pigs," Pearl Jam's "Last Kiss," The Spinners' "Working My Way Back To You," and Rush's covers of "Crossroads" and "The Seeker."
I love the original song and I love this cover. They're both amazing in different ways. Shut up and reevaluate your life if you can't see the true musical beauty of Florence's voice.
Have no clue who Florence is but thank yooooouuuu thank youu for covering this epic song, so the youth of today have a chance to hear it!!! Really great!
I wasnt there, but i can feel the energy. Ive seen her in concert. I touched her dress. This means a lot to my southern roots. Im glad. Pure energy, as every great aartist is.

What I meant by my comment was it's obvious that the Fleetwood Mac version is better; this version lacks the harmonies and general passion of the original. However, Florence isn't an awful vocalist in her own right, and while this isn't fantastic, it's also not horrible.
I was alluding to the musicianship itself hence the accusation. I have no real issue with the vocals.
Only just found this , Love Florence and The Fleetwood Mac ... this has just made my year .x
Florence is fantastic, she has a beautiful voice but I also love the fact that she does a cover specifically for that gig. All those people are getting something that has never been seen or heard from her and no one else will ever get to see. Thats pretty special!
Very valid point rachel. It makes the performance even more special. Having seen fleetwood mac live, flo does this great song great justice.
Almost everyone who covers this song comes to tears. My god "If you don't love me know, you will never love me again" just says it all ! Florence and the Machine CRUSHED IT !!!! so fucking talented!
I so wish there was a studio version of this! She absolutely killed it in traditional Florence fashion ❤❤
Done the original absolute justice Florence and the machine, your band, your singers, all of you, flippin ace. Thank you ❤️🌟💥🫶
Honestly Florence is the only person who I’m ok with doing a cover of Stevie. Both are such queens!
@@gr8guitarplayer every note she hit here was on pitch, maybe you don’t like her tone? It’s certainly different from the original anyway
@@gr8guitarplayer you're being dramatic
3:48 every F1 fan knows that beat and bass line all to well.
one of the best cover version!
Florence is such an amazing performer. In absolute control of every single word sung.
I love the original song and I love this cover. They're both amazing in different ways. Shut up and reevaluate your life if you can't see the true musical beauty of Florence's voice.
Ditto to your comment, Grace! :)
Hi
Flo has an amazing voice , 20th. Century Kate Bush
It's a COVER. It don't need to sount exactly like the Original.
I'm on your side with this. Great!
love her dance moves
What an homage to FWM. Beautifully done!!!!!!!!❤
Have no clue who Florence is but thank yooooouuuu thank youu for covering this epic song, so the youth of today have a chance to hear it!!! Really great!
70℅ of the audience didn't recognise this song until the base solo...."oh yeah, it's that tune off the f1 racing on the telly..."...lol
The other 30% heard the opening guitar riffs and were like HOLY SHIT!
David McDonald yup
Aye, holy shit this guy is mangling it.
it is truly one of the best bass lines of all time, no matter where they learned it
I see bass written as "base" all the time. Like bass players don't already deal with enough "respect issues" in this world?
Such a great cover.. she is sooo talented the band did a wonderful performances!
I’m a big Fleetwood Mac and Florence fan and I had no idea this existed. I’ve been listening to her for over 10 years!!
I wasnt there, but i can feel the energy. Ive seen her in concert. I touched her dress. This means a lot to my southern roots. Im glad. Pure energy, as every great aartist is.
She is so perfect live, saw her at Leeds Festival and was by far the best performer there!
I just love that they covered the song. It shows their heart. And you can tell she draws influence from stevie. Kudos to the band too
When a great singer sings a great song = GREATNESS 🖤
I get chills everytime listening to this, miss these outdoors concerts!!!
