Flamu in this video: "I could play it better but I'm just playing for fun" (which is fine btw) Flamu in stream: "WHY ARE THESE POTATOES NOT PLAYING WITH THE OPTIMAL BUILD AND JUST TRYING TO HAVE FUN!"
Flamu, I love you content. I’ve never even played this game but I get a ton of enjoyment out of watching you crush it. Your attitude is great and I always find myself entertained. Thank you!
Ah, so that is the trick to using the white line on torpedoes, it's a prediction indicator, so in order to get the best use out of it is to give it some lead, taking into consideration speed and maneuvering! Very interesting, I just upgraded tot he Gaede in the German DD line and was looking for some tips and other info on the ship itself, thanks!
i had relative success from T2-T5 in german DD, and when i played my Gaede, I only had a 9 points captain, and i can tell you without CE, this ship is incredibly hard to play.
yes I feel you as I'm also grinding it 7.5km concealment and sluggish handling, it is just painful when fighting other DDs (especially those IJN ninjas)
So normally I put propulsion mod 2 on my dds to help move around in smoke and I find the ability to acclerate/decelrate quickly is at least as valuable as changing direction to throw off fire. However the Gaede feels very sluggish to turn and/or accelerate so wondering what you thought?
Flamu, what is your opinion on the fact that you need a tier 7 British, US or French cruiser, or a tier 7 or 8 French BB for the new operation? I think it kind of makes sense for the mission, as you have to shoot down a lot of planes and you're escorting an Allied convoy, but it feels way too restrictive. I have about 40-50 ships in my port, and out of all of those, I can only play one: the Atlanta. I wanted to play with a friend the other day, and he couldn't, because he did not have any suitable ships. Now, he just bought his first tier 10, and is about to unlock a couple other tier 10 ships, and as a mostly free-to-play player, he just doesn't have the credits to buy back a tier 7 cruiser and retrain a captain just for this operation, nor can he afford to buy a suitable premium ship. I believe that only including 4 tier ship branches, excluding premiums, out of the 19 tier 7 non-premium ships is a big design flaw. On top of that, out of the 4 available tech tree lines, one is a BB, and three are cruisers. What if someone just doesn't like to play cruisers and isn't interrested in the French BBs? It's bad enough that WG is excluding CV players from Clan Wars, and now CV players, DD players and people who don't play the Allied nations are excluded from part of Warships content as well? At least for the Dunkirk operation, which was French/British DD exclusive, WG provided us with ships to actually play them.
I rage sold the Gaede when it came out and then facepalmed when I remembered I bought the premium camo. Saw this video and rebought the Gaede to start a new commander. After playing the Aigle for a few weeks, the Gaede is very similar but it eats up Aigles when given the chance.
YOU ARE GOOD! ;) best CC of WoWS for my opinion. too bad many players today plays either "hide and shoot" all game, or "lets run and ram. everyone are looking for the DMG number and how many kills, and above all how do they look on the stats websites... oh... and the chat bullies, wish to meet one of them face to face! what about capping? what about support each other... what about playing the game like you do. Sruliko
zelf0moord0eend bingo. The massive 406mm shell actually doesnt have enough time to arm itself, which means it passes clear through without causing a citadel. You see this with Yamato against lots of cruisers too. You could see this with some cruiser AP shells against extremely lightly armoured ships. This will never happen against big battleships, however.
This is the ship I suffered the most. I'm a good player according to my stats. But this is the ship I hated most in the game. Hydro doesnt help, the gun reload is shit, so 150mm guns wont help you. I had good moments with it like in this video, but just try to get over this BAD ship ASAP.
Just got the Gaede but after a few rounds in it I can say that mine is cursed. Me and my wife double DD all the time but we had a pretty bad start with the Gaedes. Played a map with 3 caps. our Team goes A or C. We decided to rush into B for an early cap. The fucker who played the CV on the enemy Team raped us within 1 Minute of the game. 2 divebombers, 3x torp crossdrop and the round was over. It was insane. We joined with the same setup for another round and exactly the same thing happened. Not sure if cursed or totally noobish on my side.
Well, most german DDs has terrible rudder shift, tho they have small turning circle. It seems ok, but the ship is big. This often happened to me up from tier 6 to tier 9 im now.
It seems that CVS generally fly over the middle cap at the start of the game to scout... and attack if they see a DD trying to cap... I think that is why so many DDs rush to the edge caps. I'm not a massive player, but that seems to be the pattern.
1:47 - 1:55 I so hate it when CC's and the likes complain about people not running last stand on dd's (or whatever really class common skill) as if the average player is an idiot, CC's and super testers may have all the gold in the world to instantly retrain their captains but for the rest of us common mortals it's not always like this, actually more often than not we have to grind through the whole unlocking the Capitan again process for every new ship we move that Capitan onto, so much so that often times we spend more time with an untrained Capitan than with a trained one on several ships, i'd say from t6 onwards it happens. Other than that nice game
Save your captain exp flags for retraining you captains. Dragon Flags is the best. Camo also. Well, about the complaint, it may be harsh. But if it makes people to use the skill, it may serve the purpose. Tho it is two different things.
@rly nis: Not only did you not actually read his post properly, as he was talking about retraining his captain to a new ship further up a line and not training a captain from 0 points, you also managed to fuck up the point cost, as Last stand is a 2 point skill.
@Edhi Kurniawan: That's not at all what i meant, i mean if you have a 17 point capitan on say a yugumo and you unlock and buy the shima, but you don't have or don't want to spend the 450 odd doubloons to instantly retrain him (alternatively you don't have the elite capitan xp) to the shima you'll be running a shima with shit concelament, none of the skills that make the ship competitive for around 160-170k capitan xp and with a shima in such shoddy conditions i'm not saying it's impossible, just that it becomes a chore to do so flags or no flags you'll still be going at it for 30-40 games with an uncompetitive ship (unless you get insanely lucky and get like 10 Kraken games in a row). I feel much the same with T10 upgrades, like being forced to run the shima with 20km torps for the first handful of games, i mean i got to T10 why should i have to spend further XP to get my ship in tip top shape, especially for ship like the Shima which is pretty much useless with the 20km torps, unlike Kurfurst where the difference between the 406's and 420's is a purely personal choice which does not affect your ability to have a good game.
@rly nis: It's a 2 skill point btw, and you take one of your 19 point commanders and try to restrain him for another same nation ship, what happens then? no matter how many points that skill is it's still unusable, well officially it's 50% effective, which in the case of last stand is absolute horse shit because i have had an untrained commander on my Z52 and even though i had last stand the rudder would still show up as jammed and the ship would not maneuver
Cutting by half with credits and having the rest paid by commander elite xp (which you can sometimes get with missions/tasks) or free xp and you are fine. Or stacking every xp boost and commander xp boost so that you are retraining for one or two games at most. If most of the time your captain is retraining, you are doing it wrong. In addition, i feel the DDs and the CVs suffer the most with untrained captain so I usually pour more of my few ressources in DDs because cruisers and BBs tend to not be as affected by captain points.
Sorry but one thing i notice a lot on you and its probably the only real mistake you make is that you dont pay attention to the mountain icon which means you cant shoot over the islands... that has costed you precious reload time in many of your games that i have seen and its just a stupid subtlety that doesnt really change much but is good to pay attention to.
That's because the indicator is broken, sometimes the indicator is on and you can shoot and none of your shells hit the island, other times there is no indicator and you shoot and all your shells hit the island. its way too inconsistent so its just better to go for personal judgement whether or not you can shoot (EDIT)- its also sometimes worth shooting even if most of your guns fire into an island if there is a chance 1-2 shells will hit the target
Being sick sucks.
bless you potato king
Flamu T-66 is far more better.
well at least you have plenty of time to play the game ... looking forward to the Maass and Z-23 ... will there be a Z-39 vid this early from you ?
I find alot beer always worked,, it makes you feel relaxed and your nose stops dropping,, I know it sounds weird but yes beer.. And if your throat feels itchy,, some coca cola to burp hard.. Give it a try,, a beer for every camping bb
Get well soon!
Any tips for french BB captains ?

Even with Concealment Expert it is still a chore.

It took me a loooooong to grind through this to get the Maas... got killed early very often by CVs

lmao that spam on the minimap
i feel you bro
I don't have my concealment expert and I am really struggling with this ship right now.
Passive BBs hiding in the back or going out of their way around caps!!!! Are you playing on NA server again Flamu?
If you happen to find nemo, you could trust the white line
how can u put hydro there is not slot available to my gaede
BobInGreek Upgrade. The hydro becomes available after the Hull is upgraded.
If the 150mm was an option to all German dds above t5, i would play them
YOU ARE GOOD! ;) best CC of WoWS for my opinion.

Shits'n'giggles and still top score. Wonder how well you might have done if you were being serious, lol.
did they remove hydro from this ship?
You need the upgraded Hull.
Question: can you overpen a citadel ?
zelf0moord0eend answer: Yeahbsolutely. Happens all the time. Try and shoot a Pepsi at less than 7km with a Colorado at its citadel. See what happens.
Risheen Mukherjee i am guessing OP?

BENSON NEXT PLZ
flamu review the french battleship line
i really dont think the torps were plane spotted as they werent close enough.
cobrazax If your ship is plane spotted torps you launch will be automatically spotted
really? im REALLY not sure about that.
i need to fly like 1-2 km away from a ship to have a chance to spot its torps
Her's artillery reaches 33 against Koenigsberg 44. I understand that those two ships guns should be played in the same way.... or almost the same.
Cancun771 And gets citadeled easily
Finn with Flue?
its almost as if they are human
What did it mean when the Bogue "left clicked" you? And why did it annoy you?
I think he meant attacked... I believe when playing a CV you use left button to engage an attack
It was before the rework. CVS just clicked on someone to direct planes/autoattack
What? I bought it a month ago and it did not had hydro
dimitris vakas probably comes with the hull upgrade
what? fml , i gave up on this ship bc it did not had hydro, i will start again now i guess
B hull gets hydro
HAHA! Vengeance on that bogue
You all ways sound like that lol

Flamu, in a DD sitting in smoke complaining about people not spotting for him...
I cringed every time he said "mah throat is blasted". I guess that is just how my mind works.
