The battery drain is intentional to preserve the health of the lipo battery.

@@MattyDCCollins Ya, maybe carry a car power inverter.
Obstacle avoidance doesn’t work well if at all in very low light. The intelligent batteries start draining automatically to spare your batteries from damage. None of what you brought up is a negative against the drone. If you complain about the air2s it should be about the short flight times.

@@MattyDCCollins I’ve got an air 2s as well. I’m taking it out tonight. I’ve never shot low light with it so I’m going to see how it compares to my mini 3 pro in low light city enviroment.
This video solidified me choosing the air2s. I appreciate creators like you doing the leg work and putting videos out there like this, so i dont have to waist time and money.....now can you give me a crash course on when to use my filters and color grading lololo

hey buddy, i'm thinking for a newbie the mini 3 pro would be best because you don't need a license... it's still a great drone and it shoots vertical natively!
Still need a license if you’re using your drone to make money. If your flying for pleasure you don’t need a license unless your flying outside of G class airspace

Honestly, I love having a drone BUT, if it's between that and a new camera - I'd pick the camera you'll probably get more use out of it :)
Its very simple if you do for professional reasons weight and money is no issue then get the Marvic 3 pro.
If casual user for holidays days or hiking get the mini 3 pro . I think the air series is a nuisance. why in the middle then you have to get license like a bigger drone
I appreciate your response Johnny. The license was really easy to get it took 1 hour and was $10 and now I have it for life. The Mavic Air 2s is much better quality than the Mini 3 pro which is why I like it and it's still small. Shoots in 5K and has a much bigger sensor which is great for low light performance and takes incredible photos. It's also way better in windy conditions than the Mini 3 Pro.
@@MattyDCCollins Don't think its for life not every country is $10 .Every country got their own laws . Have you got the mini 3 Pro before we talk. I took the mini 3 to the mountain windy no problem . You can't tell the difference in term of quality or low light between the 2 . Yes i got the air 2 it has problem with low light but mini 3 solves all the problem longer range and windy no problem .Nobody need 5k when you're watching it from your phone . it take too much momories and longtime to edit . I only take 1080 not even 4K . Its good enough for recreational purpose . Better just get the Marvic 3 Pro for the best quality if that what's your after . The air series are waste of time . it can never beat the Marvic and too heavy for portabilbilites

2s is the beast and best quality for drones. Amazing strong with lovely 1’ sensor. I have mini3pro but 2s looks better for wind and camera
