Rain, wind and only 13´C in july!
Mavic Air 2s is amazing! I flew this drone many times in the rain and snow before and never nothing happen!
Of course I not recommended that! If you will fly in rain YOU DO THIS ON YOUR OWN RISK!

WARNING!!! You should not fly your drone in the rain if it is not waterproof. Drones feature highly sensitive electronic parts that can short circuit!

Thank you! Sometimes we have to take risk. Then we have something to talk about. Few weeks ago I took to much risk and my MA2s died. But it was worth to risk all that times! I got many good videos and memories with this drone. Now I fly with DJI Avata which one is more durable 😆

Thank You! Yes, police guys were kind. I had some kind of escort 😁 That was amazing adventure in the rain. I was just so sad so my Gopro battery died and I didnt record interview with police 😅
@@gregwas3050 That's a pity but so long as it went well. I find my DJI Pocket 2 batteries (mic and camera) are not great for lasting for a lot of filming. Cold doesn't help!

You really pinned the mood by music and cinematic. I liked it. BTW I have just bought Air 2s fly more combo and plan to go kayaking in Ladoga lake where I will put it to test. Shall try to be at least 10% as good as you are ^). I had a feeling that Police in Poland is very kind indeed. I never has any trouble with them.. probably because I visited Poland only tree times and only once I passed over a hedgehog at night and worried that Police may catch me probably there was even an investigation but they never found me, next day I urgently left Poland. ^)

In alabama our lows in july r probably 88 and thats raining and at night. During the day u wont see it below 95 on average its triple digits
Did you set failsafe to "Hover", because if it RTH, i think it will crash to trees/branches. I like the way you fly

I'm wondering when it comes to the police control how it was proceeding? Were they verifying your drone license?
Good question! I live in Sweden and have now holidays in Poland. In Sweden police control was realy proffesional. They check my drone license (digital swedish system), id, and they could see my flight record on police laptop! 😳 And they was realy kind. Here in Poland they ask me just few questions and dont even want see my drone license... 😆 And they was also realy kind! 🤗

@@tony.elfatih I been pushing Air2s really hard most of the times. This drone survived rainfalls, storms, strong winds, many crashes but ice on propellers killed esc, drone got burn and fall down. I still have it. Half of drone dosnt work 😆 So I decided turn to FPV... 😍
Soo Rad.. Awesome job. I've really wanted to get an air2 S. I have a mini 3 pro so my controller will work with it. I'm sold now. Really stoked to see it works in the rain.!! Does it still function well after the rain. Either way I'm getting ready to order one anyway, they have used like new condition, super low flight time on eBay for really good price. Can't wait to get one. 👊🤙🤙

I didn't get a response about it. I just received my air2s a week ago. But I don't want to try the rain test with it. I'm going to check out the specs and see what it says about flying it in the rain. I'll let you know what I find out.

Dont worry about fly in the rain with Mavic Air 2s. I did it many times. Thousands times without any problems. But few weeks ago I crash my second Mavic Air 2s and totally damage again... Now I fly DJI Avata. But MA2s will stay in my heart forever! ❤️
@@user-xo1fu4ke2lSo sorry for late respond. So much thing happen now in my life. Just do it! My Mavic Air 2s survive thousands flights in the rain and snow! Just afyer flight dry tje drone. I fly 2-3 batteries in the rain. Then go home and dry it to the next day and fly again 😅 Good luck! 😁🤟

Wow! I would be horrified with all that water getting in the motors of my drone! I have flown in the snow and it did not affect my drone at all but if your drone is unaffected by water, I say AMAZING!!
Brushless motors are waterproof, they are used on submarine drones. Battery is the weak spot, but there are videos of people pouring water from a hose onto the Air2s in flight, battery was fine.

Did it still work after getting wet?
Yes. I been flying many times in the rain and snow and nothing happen. Just after fly drone have to dry. I dont have that drone anymore. I had terrible crash... rip Mavic. Now I fly DJI AVATA 😅

How do you manage to fly in the forest with obstacle avoidance completely off?? It’s not a FPV drone, all you see is the tiny phone screen, no small bushes are much noticeable, there is small transmission lag enough to fly into a tree. If the connection is lost how will the return home function work with obstacle avoidance off?

Yes, that was risky. I did it many times. After some time I fly only with all sensors off... Today I fly FPV drone, this is my destiny 😎🤟
@@gregwas3050 I see that you took avata. Never tried FPV. I had Air 2 and now mini 4 pro. With regards to the fly and control flexibility it is definitely the next level. But the matrix 1/1.7 is sooo small. I shot nikon z6ii + DJI mini 4pro, and despite the resolution is the same, the footage from DJI looks as a crap compared to the full frame camera, I don’t like the quality. And it is 1/1.3”, avata is even smaller, but your previous Airs 2s has 1” cmos that is a way better quality due to the cmos larger size.
Btw, I tried obstacle avoidance flying in the tree with some small branches (without leaves), and it felt down two times, it doesn’t see the branches, so this so fancy 360 system is actually a crap. Can’t rely on it.
@@vavalexus You have absolutely right. Camera in Avata is... I dont want say shit but is nothing when you compare it to MA2s... MA2s is a great drone but Avata is made for absolutely another kind of flying. I try anyway do some cinematic shots with it but mostly Avata camera fail... Its a lot of work with post and you never will get same quality so camera with large sensor. This is compromise. We will see how it will be in the future, I just started FPV...
@@vavalexus Obstacle avoidance in the drone is totally unnecessary when you know what you are doing. It never help in critical moments. Imagine situation when you fly in the forest with OA and it sees a tree, then avoid it and hit a branch... When you turn it off you have 100% control.

I flew Mavic Air 1, Mavic Air 2s in the rain and never nothing happened. I do this same now with Avata. But I do not recommend that! 😆

DJI dont make official waterproof drones and nobody recommended to fly in rain. I fly a lot in the rain and its ok 😎
The only drone that is made for rain is the Xiaomi Fimi X8.
@@filipesilva1395 After that video I made about 30 flights in the rain with MA2s and its still alive 😎 FPV quad pilots use special waterproof seal spray.
