So far the best, most direct and most detailed video comparison I've seen on YT. I've had my Air 2S for about one-and-a-half years and the Air 3 looks tempting. Advanced active-tracking, way-points, vertical framing, 360 obstacle avoidance, and the double camera are all important upgrades from my perspective. Thank you for comparing the noise levels. I'm pleasantly surprised the noise levels compare favorably. Thanks for sharing.

This is a really fantastic video, thank you! I have a second-hand Air2s that I picked up earlier in the year and impressed with the improvement in image from my original Air 2. I would love the Air 3 for the obvious reasons you give but currently can’t afford it. The battery life is the downside I’m finding…. All the best and well done on your quality work, sir! Nick 👊

Good comparison of these drones. The new Air 3 is one of my favorite drones, but the older Air 2s still has plenty of life in it. The 3x tele lens is the killer feature on the new Air 3. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, good comparison, thank you. One huge advantage of the Air 2s is that it has an SDK that lets the Air 2s do mapping applications using apps like Map Pilot Pro.
Thanks! Great point!!! That really makes a difference if you do mapping type operations. For that the Air 2S is totally sufficient.
Great comparison, I loved it. About the Air 3 sensor, each of 12 MP is not divided into 4 to produce 48 MP photos, this is the other way. 4 pixels (photosites actually) are used to produce 1 pixel (48/4=12). And yes the dynamic range is crazy, thanks to stacked design.

I'd add one unique feature of the Air 3 is you can turn off the bottom sensors which can be ideal in some situations. 2s doesn't have that.

Good point!! I ended up getting a Mini 3 Pro when I went to Europe last year because the Air 2S was missing that and wasn't under 249g

never judge the sensor on the air 3 because the air 3 has a stack sensor rather than the air 2s has back illuminated sensor so the air 3 has better low light than air 2s

Definitely not a A3 promotion video! I love my Air 2S but the Air 3 just does some things better. 🤷♂️
I own both and love my Air 2S as well, but the Air 3 does that many things better. It is what it is.
Air2S has DLOG not DLOG-M
No, Air2S hast D-Log m.
@@Dronfotographer you can literally shoot in 5.4K DLOG which I have done many times. The resolution 5.4k by itself doesn’t support DLOGM only DLOG
@@peacefulthrillseeker No, DJI has in the answer to an questions from a user in the official help center, said that this ist a mistake from DJI. When they introduced the Air2S they don't know the differences between D-Log and D-Log m
@@Dronfotographer I just tested it out now and they did change it to DLOG-M terrible how it looks now. I said it for a while that DJI screwed up when they made the Air2s because it looked better than the original Mavic 3 which came out six months after the Air2s. So this is their way of dumbing down their mistake and they wont make that mistake again with the Air3S and upcoming Mavic 4. We need more competition because DJI is becoming the Apple of drones.
@@Dronfotographer now if you don’t believe me then answer me this, why Didn’t DJI give the Air 3 a smaller more “advanced” sensor? That same sensor is offered in a one inch version on many Sony Cameras I checked. Im telling you DJI is not stupid and will make sure the Mavic line will always be superior to the rest of the lineup. Matter of fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they phased out the Air line in favor of the Minis in the future

Being smaller and lighter is not a good thing im sick of small drones go try to do a range test or fly in the winter...u wont go over a mile
Air 2S isn't that much smaller. I've flown both in winter and they'll go over a mile no problem!
Air3 is rubish exept 3x lense mini 4 pro is much better.and all your compares was wrong because air2s quality is absolutely better.
Air 3 video far superior to air 2s. Photos can go either way depending. Does everything the mini 4 does whilst not blowing away. Better battery, faster, more stable.
You should try flying the air 3 and mini pro 4 the same day and revisit your comment.
