I feel like the availability of inexpensive super bright android phones gives the N1 the advantage, that screen on the RC is small, dim, and it apparently has reduced range? I use a dedicated old android phone for the drone, not my actual device, its a game changer.

You didn't mention compatibility problems. Many android users have issues with apps not working. My Samsung A53 for instance .I phones seem fine

Hi! For some reason, Da Vinci resolve refuses to open any of the video I present it with. Even when exported in DNX HD with Gyroflow. It's starting to really make me insane. Is there a way to solve this?

May sound obvious, but considering the open aperture of the DJI Air 3, should I just use one filter, and leave it on, or should I change on the light conditions. I live in SE Arizona, where it seems the sun is ALWAYS shining, and the "friendliest" lighting is early morning and the evening... Also, planning a hyperlapse shot for the moon, and I'm curious about those settings... I subscribed immediately and plan on enrolling in ALL your courses. Great presentations.

Very nice video ! I had to he mini 3 pro for 1 year , sold it and now I have the air2s. I think I prefer the air 2s , looks more professional, stronger, durable, and the 5.4K it’s incredible. Just the controller I don’t like that much but we can upgrade.

Man! Now that I got my Avata 2, and FINALLY unboxed, and charged everything…I’m watching your videos with an all new perspective! Did the updates. Not quite ready to go outside to try flying yet, doing the basic flying setting, and controls for in my office! LOL Talk about a whole new flying experience and dynamic. My question is … how do you know which number to use? The higher the ND filter number the darker it is so I would assume the brighter out the higher the number? I would assume you would use only a few most of the time? Thanks for the video

If you were to buy 2 nd filters of this pack, which would it be? They cost a lot of money, I'd like to buy 2 for starters. Let's say we record in sunny day, mostly natural terrain.

completely disagree… its my favourite way to fly, three times zoom makes no sense for fpv, rage is amazing on air 3, camera too, the obstacle avoidance feels like you are in a F35 and you’ve just had a missile lock on you with the little red curved bars and beeps, plus you can go 75kph with the motion controller! and the motion controller feels like a joystick, i love how they locked the gimbal roll too so you feel the roll of the drone. I say well done DJI!

I have finally received the Air 3 drone. However, I will not risk such an extreme test with my new drone Air 3😀.

That tracking was completely pathetic. Even my Skydio 2 can't keep up with me on the bike trails. I'm going 20-30mph through tight singletrack in a forest. There is no drone on the market today that meets my expectations. When will we get a drone that can track a subject as well as an FPV drone with a human operator?

I think you may need to stop recording to switch cameras. Might give that a try. 🤷‍♂️ Let us know if that works.

Do you have dead pixels on your Goggles 3's? I'm returning a third pair and DJI insist dead pixels are normal and 6 is a low number.

Great video, you're one of the few I've found that mentions third part software, this can be a game changer. I have a Mini SE and flew exclusively on Litchi. I've upgraded to the Mini 3 and would like to use Litchi on this drone, the Litchi pilot software is in its early stages. So the RC N-1 is a no brainer for me. I have to say that it took me a long time to find the information that the DJI RC does not accept third party app. Well don Sir.

I think it’s an amazing piece of technology. I did notice you can still zoom in with the scroll wheel just not as far. My biggest problem was the screen was never bright enough unless you had a towel over your head lol so the goggles are a welcome upgrade in that respect. Thanks for the video there’s not many out there.👍

DJI is making baby steps, before the Goggles 3 arrived, your only controller option was to fly the Air 3 with the Motion 2. And now we can use the DJI RC 2 instead of the Motion 2 or Motion 3. But as you showed in the video, flying the Air 3 without the Fly app, and in its place the Avata 2 goggle interface software makes it an entirely different experience, and not in good way. Great video, and thanks for sharing.

I feel sorta like you do about the motion controller vs. fpv stick controller. I think if you want to retain more controllability, stable flight and get good cinematic footage...the FPV controller is the way to go. If you'd like to just perform some rudimentary dives, turns and Star Wars moves, the motion controller is a GO! BUT, make sure you make TIE fighter noises at least 60% of the flight when using the motion controller or you're grounded for 36 hours!

Great review. As long as you can't control the drone with the RC2 and use the goggles as a second screen I'm sticking with the old fashioned way. Pretty annoying that you can't use all the functions and have a totally different interface

That was a good assessment. The deal breaker is not being able to use the 3 X zoom. Probably DJI may do firmware updates to bring this to the Goggles 2 and 3. I have read that you can use the zoom function in the Mavic 3 Pro in the “explore mode” and motion controller in the Mavic 3 Pro.
