    In this video I take the DJI Avata 2 out for for its test flight with both the Motion Controller 2 and DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 and soar above the trees and hit gaps.

    I feel sorta like you do about the motion controller vs. fpv stick controller. I think if you want to retain more controllability, stable flight and get good cinematic footage...the FPV controller is the way to go. If you'd like to just perform some rudimentary dives, turns and Star Wars moves, the motion controller is a GO! BUT, make sure you make TIE fighter noises at least 60% of the flight when using the motion controller or you're grounded for 36 hours!

    Can you do a video on your simulator setup? What are you using for a controller, and can the goggles be connected somehow?

    • @flyingfilmmaker
      @flyingfilmmaker  Před měsícem

      I might, if there's enough interest. I just used FPV Skydive. Not super accurate at least for the Avata, but I used it because it was a 2 GB download instead 14 GB for Liftoff and I don't have a super great Internet connection. I also did a little in the DJI virtual flight sim on my phone. For the Skydive sim I used my RCN1 with a python script to use it as a controller until I got the DJI FPV remote with the Avata and then I just used that which works as a controller without any fancy stuff. I couldn't get the goggles 3 to connect to the DJI virtual flight app, and I didn't try with the computer either. You can definitely get good practice without it though!

    What video software did you use to edit (making the colors pop)?

      Davinci Resolve. Tutorial on it coming in a few days!!

    I have it with the motion controller. Is the top speed higher with the thumb stick controller?

    • @flyingfilmmaker

      I don't think so, unless you fly in manual acro mode, then you can break 60 MPH. Video on that coming soon 👍

  • @erlandfpv
    @erlandfpv Před měsícem

    Wow, you're good on it,maybe cause you have already practice proximity flyng on fpv simulator?

    • @flyingfilmmaker
      @flyingfilmmaker  Před měsícem

      Haha mostly because I've flown camera drones a huge amount. Flying in manual mode in the sim was actually confusing a bit at first because the controls work differently to sport/normal mode.

    I am thinking of getting one - looks so much fun
    Though what is that filter like that it gets applied to video of drone recording? 3:32 as example.
    Also, does it tell you when drone is getting our of reason so you know you need to turn and not go any more forward to end up losing signal and your drone?

    • @flyingfilmmaker
      @flyingfilmmaker  Před měsícem +1

      It's a ton of fun, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The "filter" is color grading. I've got a video coming soon showing exactly how I graded the footage in this video so make sure to keep an eye out for that. When the drone is getting close to losing signal it puts an orange then red border around the screen in the goggles. You can see it where I turn around after flying down the road.

      @@flyingfilmmaker is that something that drone does by itself or you did that in post?

    • @flyingfilmmaker
      @flyingfilmmaker  Před měsícem

      @@lukapavlesic7610 I did it in post in Davinci Resolve. I set the drone to D-LOG and then adjust the colors in post which gives a lot better results than just using the normal color profile in the drone.

      @@flyingfilmmaker I understand but honestly don't like it since you posted a drone review video and not your editing video... ^^
      I watched it mostly for drone to see how it is working and this doesn't give me a real picture of drone since you did video editing and filtering in post.

    I am like you,I just started fpv.i like the regular controller.i am old school.i have been building rc planes since the 1980's.😁🇺🇸🤠.

      That's awesome! Sounds like you've been doing this stuff for a minute. 😅 Seems like most experienced drone/rc pilots like the regular controller better. Going to be posting a video of my first manual flight in the next few days.

      I've tried several, but right now my favorite is CurryKitten. I've heard Liftoff is really good too, but it's a 14GB download which my Internet isn't quite up to haha
