4:17 that is incorrect, all the names crossed out aren't for steroids. Asafa Powell was never caught using steroids, the administration that governs performance enhancing drugs has a list that includes drugs that they think can be used as a masking agent. So if you take the wrong supplements, or take over the counter medication to fight a cold, chances are it may contain something that can be used to mask the use of steroids. So you can fail a drug test even though you're not cheating. That's why they recommend you look the list of ingredients in any drug and match it with their banned list, and if you need to take something for a cold you must declare it. If you didn't let them know and it shows up on your test then they consider you a cheat even though you didn't test positive for steroids.
@@Paulafan5 Yes and no, WADA has a long list of ingredients they consider to be masking agents. New things keep being added to the list, I'm not sure how athletes are even able to keep track of them. So if you take a pain killer honestly just for pain, and you don't check to see what's in it, you will fail unless you let them know in advance. There was an athlete who thought it was OK to drink an energy drink only to find out there was something in the energy drink listed as a masking agent.

I remember the UK commentator either Reg Gutteridge or maybe Jim Rostenhal referring to Golotta spotty back and unhinged behaviour as a side effect of being on roids, when Lennox blasted him down and he attempted to get up struggling against the ropes , a total look of shock on his face
BOXING MONKEY Maybe so, when it comes to Sports competing against the best who already use Steroids, PED’s & other methods to gain an edge, I don’t doubt most use it. Including Lennox, Floyd was caught with the IV & not agreeing to Pacquiao’s testing contract after the fight for $5 Million. It’s hard to believe there’s nobody who does them.
If they keep samples and test them years and years later like in athletics . . . . boxing Greats like Holyfield and Jones could end up further and further down that ATG List
"A knitted sweatah... A KNITTED SWEATAH"
I love that he said the names😂
Lennox is right Jamaican food Rocks!
When Evander first fought Moorer that's when his build drastically changed and it was obvious he was on peds. It killed his stamina and speed tho, it was never the same. Watch Holys fights pre Moorer, like the first 2 Bowe fights, the Foreman and Dokes fights, there's a huge difference in his build and his speed and punch output.
He was on steroids and other stuffs his entire career as Heavyweight, the only difference is the amount he used. As you said, against Moorer it was just ridiculous how much Holyfield was using...
@@nimaakhtarkhavari8766 possibly. His early heavyweight days up until the Bowe fight he was barely 205 lbs & very lean. He didnt look much different from his cruiser days. Then after he lost to Bowe his physique changed drastically
@@BrownBomber92181
he was on steriods since 1989
@@curtizjamezjackson111 You think so? He was still very lean, barely at 205 up until 92. Then seemingly overnight he was almost 220, had bulging muscles and his workrate and stamina absolutely plummeted.
@@BrownBomber92181
no i think he was on steroids 1989
his bench press was 190 lbs in 1988
and his trainers said in 1989
he hired bodybuilding coaches and probably bought roids too
then it increased 375 lbs for 12 reps which makes up 1 rep max of 525 lbs in 1990
in his bench press went from 190 lbs to 525 lbs
in just 1 year his bench press increased by 335 lbs while his weight increased by 15 lbs only
so i think he was on steriods since 1989
he just upped the steriod dosage for the tyson and lewis fights
Joe what do you think about the Billy Collins Jr VS Luis resto fight?
My favorite era of boxing
Prime Lennox Lewis with Manny Steward in his corner could defeat any Heavyweight of any era
Definitely, great power plus boxing skills
I couldn't stand Lewis when he boxed Tyson! I'm glad I watched this! Good dude
Lewis was always a good guy. It just sucked seeing Tyson lose.
That was probably it!! I was 13 I believe when Buster beat him and I actually cried ! Not sure why but I did! To see a hero like character lose to a Buster
Why Lewis is just better . I think short people Stan Tyson . Yea Tyson is great but being big long and authodox is better.
Is Lennox pretending he never juiced??!! 🤣😂🤣
You cant build muscles on your face
Trt belfort : hold my beer
Lennox is a cool guy
evander lol i still remember watching his fights when i was young and was like how tf do you get your shoulders the size of basketballs?
Alright kids. You heard it here. Joe Rogan says use steroids!! 😂
You can improve your neck, to decrease your punishment to the head. I believe it's the snap of the neck which rattles the brain, the punch does damage but the snap back of the head does way more damage.
I love russel peters for talking the truth about evander. Everyone else sweeps it under the rug
Long time since I heard someone say bully beef.
😂😂😂
Lennox so cool , true champion. Respect from Greece
3:00 EPO wasn't around I think '91 Lance Armstrong (cycling) started
Lennox looks in better condition now then when he fought.
In his pink sweater ? Ok.
based on what?
You gotta be kidding lol
@@DB_Cooper. thats not lennox lewis bro
No he doesn't. Stop it.
SUSPECT?! Lol, how about guaranteed without a doubt. Let's see, it was the 90s. His opponents included: Holyfield, Morrison, and Tyson. All were juiced to the gills! Golota, Gotha and Briggs were close runner ups! Lewis himself was 98% deep on the sauce, too.
Tyson? Nope. Tyson was gigantic when he was 15..you could tell he always had the potential for size especially with his rigorous training.
@@thediaz07 You are ridiculously naive if you think post prison Tyson wasn't juiced, lol!
Lennox, show us the tapes of you and mike sparring! That would be awesome!
Steroids in boxing is a foregone conclusion. It's a freak show circus.
Right, but they are all using. Track and field is a joke. Same with cycling and weightlifting.
If you have a masking agent in your system it's to mask PEDs you're taking, right? Why else would you have a masking agent in your body?
@@Paulafan5 Yes and no, WADA has a long list of ingredients they consider to be masking agents. New things keep being added to the list, I'm not sure how athletes are even able to keep track of them. So if you take a pain killer honestly just for pain, and you don't check to see what's in it, you will fail unless you let them know in advance. There was an athlete who thought it was OK to drink an energy drink only to find out there was something in the energy drink listed as a masking agent.
Holyfield def used it when he came outta retirement briefly and those Tyson fights is what showed them roids
Jamie...you gotta turn the brightness down on the screen man Joe's burning his fucking retinas.

Yes.

Yyyyeeeeeeeesssssssss
you can put muscles on your neck tho
The Wedge - you can 100% add muscle to your jaw, face, etc.
neck muscles will help take a punch.

Steroids use is the reason I don't consider Evander Holyfield a top tier heavyweight. Some boxing people said Evander started using steroids back in 1988.

0:40 describes Anthony Joshua vs Ruiz 1 where in the corner AJ was talking about he doesn't feel fight.
Definitely true about Ortiz. Just came from Cuba too late.
He was a great great champion.
side note: l'm blindly convinced Bolt was into something too new for the regulators to know. His records and that chart is simply impossible
While im sure that is most definetly true, he is also a specimen.
Anybody got a sauce on that 18th place claim Joe made regarding TdF at 04:33 ? I've only managed to read that 20 out of 21 podium finishers from '98 to '05 tested +ve for doping.
in a game where they don't test you I highly suspect many used them... I'm thinking in particular of a light heavyweight who became heavyweight champion who actually gained weight and put on more muscle definition later in life after already being in good shape... it just doesn't happen without roids...
There are more andorhen receptors in the traps and shoulders than anywhere else
So a big sign of steroids use is disproportionate size in the traps.
Holyfield definitely has the phsyical signs of steroid abuse
What do you think about Joshua?
Yes it is very clear he was on gear
@John Smith Boxers don't need to value the traps/lats. They get worked heavily from bag work.
@John Smith ah.
If all testing we're removed from professional sports, it wouldn't be the broken records we'd be surprised by. It'd be the lack there of.
You have any statistical proof or logic behind this profoundly stupid statement?
Tell that to Eastern European Olympians, Mark McGuire and Ben Johnson.
Sounds like we agree buddy. Damn, talk about profoundly stupid .
This guy is one of the GOATs
00:27 Russell's side eye at Joe... hahaha
If Joe thinks holyfeild is possible natural his ignorance is palpable. Though I doubt he believes it, his amount of politicking is absurb.
Justin Jones he tries so hard to not make anyone mad it’s annoying af
Holyfield was fucking juiced to the gills when he fought Tyson. Tyson look deflated next to him.
