Jamie Lee was stellar but Stephanie Hsu should win the oscar for that category. She was really co-lead.

"practically sweeps"? No - they swept. They left no dust. They set a record for number of Sag wins. They won every category they were nominated in
I'm SO happy for the EEAAO cast, and especially Michelle Yeoh! She so deserved this and more than earned this individual recognition. I don't think she expected to win given by how shocked she was, and she knows how big a titan Cate Blanchett is that she's stacked against. I'm just SO happy. And for the cast to give the state to James Hong?! CLASSY and respectful in a very Chinese way! i don't know if Michelle will get the Oscar but I sure hope that and everyone of her cast mate is stumping for her in a very positive way. I hope they go all the way!

The SAG awards is the only award show so far to get most of the winners exactly what I wanted ESPECIALLY Brendan Fraser for best actor. Hope the Oscars will be the SAG awards.

I’d swap Jamie Lee Curtis with Angela Bassett. But other than that everyone else who won I hope wins the Oscar! Especially Michelle Yeoh!

@@randomguy6695Jamie is getting recognition for a lifetime of work. I get it’s not fair but her fellow actors really love and appreciate her. Honestly, neither her or Angela’s performances are their best. I think both are getting lifetime recognition with these awards and nominations.

I have no idea where John was getting that Colin Farrel had momentum going into this. He wasn't even able to win at BAFTA, which should've been a slam dunk for him. Austin Butler was the guy who had momentum here.
Agreed. Farrell was officially dead after the BAFTAs, and he was hanging on by a thread after the Golden Globes.

Michelle Yeoh triumph at SAG wasn’t really a surprised win. Yeoh has won more regional and international critics awards compared to Cate Blanchett. Both of these actresses Blanchett and Yeoh deserve to be recognised. But since, Blanchett has won two academy awards trophies before, I think Michelle will finally takes home the Oscar for best actress. She deserves it ❤
Farrell lost Bafta to Butler. He was done going into Sag.

I hope the film wins big at the oscars. However I didn't think that any of the performances, other than Michelle Yeoh's, were particularly memorable.
I think the film should be praised for its direction, script and innovation. I'd love to see it win best picture just to stick two fingers up to Oscar bait films and prove that cinema is cinema. It's just not a performance heavy film, unlike Banshees (which is where I would like to see the majority of the wins).
SAG has 160,000 members. Only 1300 of those get to vote for the Oscar. That's less than 1% of the whole branch.
The whole branch are very populist. The Academy are, by and large, not so much.
Some wins here you must take with a grain of salt.

EEAAO is by no means a bad film. its fast paced and never dull for a second. but I simply don't get why critics are having

Because everything about it and every moment of the photography, writing, editing, and acting was stellar. But I guess you bad opinion trying to shit on something other people love is what we should care about. I’m just baffled by the awards given to this film. I have no problem with the actors but the film is just a poorly paced mess.
I loved it to tears, it's just about my favorite movie ever! But yes it's sooooo long, and if you don't emotionally connect with it I don't blame you for getting really fucking annoyed
Eh, its a great film... Its not the movies fault you didn't connect with it. It deserves every bit of praise and awards it gets.
