Just when I was trying to pull myself together after going crazy over the Luke sequence, then the post credit scene started and it was Jabba’s palace. Wow, just Wow!! I think your leaving out the guy that Faverau was paired with on this project. Don't get me wrong the concept and writing for the most part is his, but you have to also remember that working alongside him is Dave Filloni - who is loyal to Lucas's vision and was under his direct tutelage, who is likely the one that has called him up to actually be on set like we see in 'The Gallery' a couple times (where Faverau geeks out about 'look we have the weapon from the specials and Lucas deflates him that he didn't do that and it's not really canon), who likely has the deepest knowledge of everything Star Wars other than really the Sidious to his Vader - Lucas himself (lets be honest while in this scenario they really are more Jedi, the scenario feel a little more 'Rule of Two' and more absolute master/apprentice). Between having Filloni around working on it alongside Faverau who seems to be a fan - that's why this, *THIS* is Star Wars.
That should also be enough to not be a jerk and openly spoil in the comments of a non-spoiler video (or at least one that tries not to). But **** the fact that the CGI is passable at best only they got the *REAL* Luke Skywalker back not that Jake Skywalker mother(redacted) they had in The Last Jedi. I freaking loved that all female team up - because it wasn't actually shoved in my face like Endgame and so many other things these days and I was distracted by them just being badass. Them as a team, them on their own (or well, I assume the other mandalorian would tag along with Bo-Katan) I don't care - gimme more of that, hell, give me a show of them, Mando, Luke (If they can't get Hamill or y'know -CG budget just get Sebastian Stan they look frighteningly alike), Ahsoka, Greef Karga, Moff Gideon, hell even Trapper Wolf and his Squadron much as I'm sure Dave Filloni would hate to actually star in a series - I want more of pretty much every character they've given, I'll gladly pay the 7 dollars to have 20 spinoffs from this show if they are all done as well because this is the Star Wars I've wanted for years. Luke cutting through the Dark Troopers like his dad through Rebels - **** yes, the fact that despite being 'the good guy' he is to Imperials what Vader was to everyone else is great.
And the beauty has always been that Star Wars never truly *TRIES* to be deep when it's good. It's deep enough for people to think, shallow enough that people can turn their brain off and just watch - which is why it can appeal to so many, it balances things and like all art, is subjective and open to interpretation. For example - the single line of 'He is strong with the Force, but talent without training is nothing' - just a line to convince Mando that the kid needs to go with him, a statement on the idea that while someone may have a raw ability for something that without training it it will never really amount to anything or not anywhere near what it could be, or a line throwing shade against the handling of the Rey character in the sequel trilogy? Maybe one, maybe all, maybe none of those - but it can be read all those ways and likely more. They have one main agenda - good stories, anything else is secondary, as it should be.

I haven't liked the inclusion of legacy characters into recent SW films because the filmmakers completely abandoned the unique awesome potential of the brand new characters to instead anchor every single new character's story around a legacy character. They didn't allow those characters to grow into their own independent mythology. This was the best usage of a legacy character I've seen along with Vader hacking the Rebels to pieces in Rogue One.

I didn't realize it was Luke until I seen the glove. I was smoking a fatty when Luke showed his face best laugh I had in weeks. Hands down the best episode so far.

Everything was brautiful, especially the ending. But Boba Fett being denounced as a clone and irrelevant was amusign, the interpersonal fights, Gideon played by my guy was fantastic. Mando taking on that lone dark robot was grrrreat! But the ending and the music was epic! It sounded somber and badass at the same time! I have 2-3 mini nitpicks but nothing to killed the finale for me. Bravo👏👏👏👏

The mandalorian himself is going to end up like Stephen amell's arrow where people care more about the cameos and spin offs than the original character !

I think the Mandalorian and Jedi Fallen Order have proven that star wars fans aren't impossible to please. Just make a good, functional Star Wars product that explores and deepens the franchise, and fans are happy.

"HOLY FUCK SHIT!!! Luke Skywalker showed up and started wrecking some fools and sticking lightsabers up their ass, and cutting them in half and shitting all over their faces!!! It was everything I've wanted to see Luke Skywalker do for decades!!!" Best quote of 2020. 😂😂😅😅😅😅🤣🤣

I get that the sequel trilogy was bad and I agree, but can we just stop complaining about it each time another awesome Mandalorian episode comes out? It’s not gonna fix that trilogy. Let’s just move on and look forward to the awesome future that SW seems to have.

TheJEDIBRANDON thank you. Just thank you. Finally I read someone else talk about this. I’m just tired of reading comments where it seems like people are not capable praising anything Star Wars without adding the trashing of the st and always comparing things to st in negative way.
Myself personally loved rise of skywalker, I don’t hate tlj but it’s hit or miss for me, great moments but idk. TFA, enjoyed.
But everyone entitled to own opinion. But I can’t wait till people can move past their seething hatred for the st that seems to encapsulate their entire Star Wars mindset
