2020 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and 2015 Supercharged Tundra TRD Pro

  • Remember when you could get a supercharged V-8 pickup from Toyota? Daily Motor remembers.
    Back in 2015, the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro had an optional dealer-installed Magnuson supercharger upgrade. Conveniently, we got our hands on one at the same time as we had a brand-new 2020 Tundra TRD Pro. Despite six years of differences, these trucks have a lot in common. That is, aside from 0-60 times.

    As we age we see the cars and pickups we had some of us sold them and today we find ourselves in regret because they dont make them any more. That 2015 is awesome partly because they do not offer that super charger anymore and that is a keeper! Engines going electrical and hybrid etc etc is going to make that pickup a gem. Both pickups are awesome. Keeping my 2020 TOYOTA TRD PRO for the same reason aforementioned it might just fade away as the automotive world evolves. This time I WONT SELL mine!!!

    Great video man. Thanks for taking the time out to compare these two Tundras. The first to compare these two side by side. I it were up to me, I would go with the older Tundra solely for that supercharger. Otherwise, you're looking at a super pricey upgrade. If cash weren't a consideration, I would add the supercharger to the 2020, but then again The Dodge Rebel is right at the same price point. It would be the Dodge Rebel for me at that point with the all the tech added to the it

    • @DailyMotor
      @DailyMotor  Před 4 lety

      This surprised me quite a bit. Most vehicles with an off-road suspension tune ride rougher on road, but that isn't the case with the Toyotas. Both the Bilstein and the Fox suspensions do great on road and off. Whereas an FX4 F-150 rides rougher on road than a non-FX4 truck.

    Yell brother, love those 15’s. Want both tundra and Tacoma pros, seems like they both have special personalities about them. Correct me if I’m wrong , does the 15’s have big bold bilistens with reservoirs? Fox is better cut these are outstanding as well. Great trucks!🍀🍀

    • @DailyMotor
      @DailyMotor  Před 4 lety +1

      The '15 does have Bilsteins, but I don't believe they have reservoirs. I actually prefer the Bilsteins over the Fox for most situations. They're a little better at filtering out the on-road bumps. But I'm sure if you were running this truck through the desert, the Foxes would step up.

    • @rickeycooley9139
      @rickeycooley9139 Před 4 lety

      Daily Motor I think the bilsteins on my 2001 was1-1/2 maybe 1-1/4. After about150’000 miles or so I put HD biisteins on it. They are quit bigger. Maybe 2.0, these came fromAutoZone. I think I paid around 150.00 each not more than that . Also here is a great tip for all Tacoma’s with a lot of miles( 150000-250000). Change the swat bar bushings, you need two. One left one right, don’t mix them up! It will handle like new, the bushings 65.00 each, worth every dollar. Neither the shocks or bushings will change aliment unless they do bad gone you allready tryed aliment , toyotas come with at least 150000 mile aliment if you don’t screw with it! Not many people can resist. That’s too bad. Do this , if it needs Aline let Toyota do it3-4 times till they get it dead nuts, NEVER settle for half ass NEVER❤️🍀🍀🍀🍀
