After two years of thinking, I now have the Magnussen on my 2018 tundra. Before, going through the mountains, the original set up would just scream RPM to maintain speed but no significant change in speed. Kind of bothered me. Now, I must say, the improved shift points alone are a dramatic improvement ! Then, the super charger with awesome power when you want !! Driven gently like normal, I am experiencing at least 1 to 1.5 miles per gallon better. Yes ! the Magnussen Supercharger is just an incredible boost of confidence in the overall truck. Long live Toyota. 👍⛰❤️

I drove a dodge v8 ram with a tow haul mode it must have been a 2002 ram, I couldn't notice a single difference with the dodge. The tundra however, lunges, almost dangerously if your not 110 percent cautious. The dual TRD exhausts sounds amazing bellowing a deep low frequency growl. I can only immagine how it must sound with a chord of firewood in the bed and a gas powered log splitter coupled to the ball hitch. ⛽=9mpg. With tow haul mode. 😱

I almost forgot to flash the ECM but I got it done with a little help from support. The computer does not give accurate MPG though. Due to the increase in air, I am ready around 19.5-20.5mpg now. U wont be towing 5th wheel until July however when we go to OBX for the July 4th weekend for quick getaway. Overall, I am extremely happy with performance and I know it will tow with ease. You will have to learn to "baby" the throttle if you get the supercharger. I can already be rolling and punch it and break traction. BTW, I have not had any warning lights. I am not sure what stage I went with. I ended up with 550 hp and 550 ft lbs of torque. Loved the fuel mileage I ended up with but hated that i had to get premium fuel all the time. I had gotten mine for towing and I learned the first time towing fifth wheel that I ended up with a weak point. Transmission threw slippage code. I had to power to easily tow but transmission was not made for the power I now had. There is a shop in NJ that could have rebuilt tranny for another 6k. I decided to sell my truck and I got a Ford Dually with the 6.7. I know I never have to worry about towing again.

I tow a 7000 lb travel trailer, before I added the sc I averaged 8.8 miles mpg, now I am up to 9.5 mpg. My around town average is still 12 to 13 unless I romp on it. The expense was worth it to me.

I hate to say it but i think someone sold you on bullish. Conveniently the warranty is up after 3 years or 36k miles via magnuson. So your saying someone took the work to remove the entire forced induction unit on their truck, make sure every last hose clamp was boxed up and then sold it to you for a near 600 dollars? Fughedaboudit. Maybe you can auction off parts on ebay, as the throttle body is OEM, you use the original throttle body. I do like the idea of a supercharger on the heavier model Tundra trucks, but I think the lighter weight 2WD RCSB drivers like myself can save thousands without sacrificing performance by doing 2 things. 1. My question is what’s the wear and tear on the engine? Does it create any engine issues because these are engines that are good for a minimum of 500K miles. Please anyone that could comment I will welcome any feedback from people that have installed it and have driven it. I know these engines as these are the only trucks that could endure the mud inthe mountains of the Argentina. Not many truck could endure this type of Terrane.

I think this is cool on YOUR truck. I personally am of the mindset that engineers put a lot of time and resources designing and building a quality product, and I want to use what they created in it's true mechanical form. I am all for cosmetic changes and changes to the suspension, but for me I like to leave my factory drivetrain alone. I had a bad experience with expensive mods and totally regretted it. I added a performance exhaust and cold air intake and saw no improvement. In fact the truck ran kind of lousy like it was starving for something. I am happy you like your Magnuson, but for me I keep things stock except for cosmetics and suspension.
